Morning Glory is located at "The Farm at South Mountain" & is the place that only serves brunch while the other 2 restaurants onsite either serve lunch or dinner. Closes at 11a weekdays and at 1p on weekends. All fresh farmed & local produce, gotta love it! A little pricy but you pay for the "farm to table" experience & you're literally eating onsite where most the fruits/veggies are grown. I had the Smoked Pork Omelette & fresh squeezed OJ, it was good & filling. Staff were pleasant and although there were 2 semi long lines to order, the staff moved quickly. You pay upfront then they call your number to pick up the food at the food station. The Farm even has a little shop onsite w/ crystals, a few books and some local snacks for purchase. I have been wanting to come to the Farm for a while and we decided here for breakfast after hiking south mountain. When you drive in it is so whimsical with beautiful giant pecan trees. There are plenty of picnic tables to eat at. You order at the counter and pay and then grab any drinks to the left. Their menu features fresh pickings from their gardens and doesn't disappoint. We ordered a build your own American breakfast with bacon and two of the farm breakfast burrito. For drinks we had lemonade, fresh squeezed OJ and some water. The food with tip was over $60 which is a little pricey but eh. It was worth it. We grabbed our drinks and sat at a table for our name to be called. Everything was provided in to go containers which was perfect. The food is hot and everything was fresh. My eggs were cooked perfectly over easy. The farm potatoes were perfectly seasoned and crisp served with onions and peppers. They were fantastic! The noble bread, umm yum!! The kids absolutely loved the breakfast burrito and got it without veggies and added bacon. They loved the potatoes too! In addition to the great food the atmosphere and nature here really makes this place amazing. We put our leftovers in the car and walked around the grounds and even found a few pecans that had fallen from the trees. We definitely will be back again for breakfast and will be trying the lunch and dinner sometime as well! Cant wait to come back. read more

I have been to the Farm restaurants (3) a lot over the years. By far my favorite is the Morning Glory Cafe. My nieces were in town for a tournament and they wanted a good breakfast. They had virtual school so we had to get to the cafe super early. I believe they open at 8am and we were there at 8:15am on a Thursday morning. The dining area which is outside has been updated since Covid-19. Plenty of outside space for dinning. Downside now is that there is no real access to heaters since the tables have been moved out to the dirt. Food experiences was delightful, definitely 5 stars. Customer service was like a 3 of 5 stars. First off the tables had not been cleaned, so they are cleaning table which were wet for a time period after cleaning them. I really wasnt getting the vibe that they wanted customers. No real welcome. No explanation that we would have to come get our food. Our drinks were placed on the counter and kinda just set there. The coffee was good but was not piping hot. For the price we paid for (3) coffees and (2) Hot Chocolates, expected more. Nonetheless, I will be back. Morning Glory used to be my go to spot during the fall/winter months. It is a beautiful property that you can walk around and see the veggies that are used in their food items. There are some animals on the property as well (typically chickens) in the coop near the back. I been going here for years (at least since 2018). You used to be able to sit at tables and be waited on, however after COVID they changed the concept to an outdoor to go style. You order your food and then sit at any of the many tables around the property or you can take it to go as it is served in containers. I miss the ascpect of having a server but it wasn't the worse change. If I had yelp back when I first started going then I would have easily given this place 5 stars but I've only seen them decline of the past 3 years. They've changed their menu with less options and changed the ingredients from some of their original dishes. The quality has gone down and I don't think they use too many of their own grown veggies like they used too. I seen a commercial produce truck pull up one time and made me question if it their produce was in house as originally reported. Again not an issue but if you're going to claim to use all organic in house produce to justify the cost of your dish then that's what the consumer should expect. I tried their brisket tacos this time and my meat was full of fat that half of the taco was not edible and food was at room temperature. I think what was the final thing of me wanting to take off stars is the overall wait time. This has been on several occasions that I've experienced horrible wait times. I waited in line for 45 minutes just to have my order taken and then an additional hour to get my food. This was not a concern in the past and I wonder if it's due to cramming multiple "to go" orders within a short timeframe that the amount of staff they have cannot keep up with it. I would've recommended this in a heartbeat but with the recent and consistent negative experiences, I can only hope things get better in the future. read more

Ok, I was going to keep this as my secret because it's a gem but decided it was too good not to share.My daughter found this place for us to eat breakfast on our way from me stopping at one of the fire stations in Phoenix and taking her to the airport. It is amazing. It's called Morning Glory. I almost didn't get the chance to dine here because my friend and I couldn't find the place! After analyzing the map for about 3 minutes, my friend realized that the cafe was on a farm! We would've never known because Google Maps and Apple Maps was being weird and kept redirecting us to only God knows where. If you're putting this place in your GPS, search The Farm instead of Morning Glory Cafe, because you'll be driving around hangry ready to find somewhere else to dine! I'm happy my friend at the patience because I surely did not! Aside from that craziness with trying to get to the cafe, once we got there, we were so amazed! It was so beautiful! I forgot we were in Phoenix. I told my friend it felt like entered a vacation destination lol cause this place definitely gives off vacation vibes. My friend on the other hand ordered the Build a Breakfast option. He ordered toast, eggs, bacon, and hash browns, I think... but he loved it; he said everything was fresh and tasty. Though I really didn't enjoy my meal, I LOVED the mimosa! They're made from FRESH SQUEEZED ORANGE JUICE! Yummm!!! It's was so delicious, I was in love! So, that made up from the unsatisfactory chilaquiles. Together, we spent a total of ~$55. It's a little on the above average side, but I'm happy to dine here again, with a different food option lol Aside from the food, we really loved being able to dine outside on the farm. It was nice and sunny outside, which made the experience even better. Once, we finished eating, we walked around for a bit. The farm has more than tte cafe, but those places were closed, I'm assuming due to COVID. But, I noticed a lot of the areas looked like places where people would get married. I'm pretty sure people get married here often. I'm mean, I definitely would, it's beautiful place! Plus it's spacious and has lots of seating areas. Really enjoyed this establishment. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is fresh and from the farm. There two restaurant on this property. Basically breakfast at Morning Glory and there is a lunch stop. They allow you to walk around the farm. They have many picnic benches under the pecan tree canopy. They have ducks, chickens, turkeys and even a tortoise to see. There is a store on site with little gifts. They have a self serve fruit infused water station and coffee bar. The Trout omelet was very fresh flavored. Not over powering bit with plenty of trout. Great place on a cool day. read more

A pleasant surprise. Walked here from the Legacy Golf Resort. The farm setting was quiet, quaint and relaxing. For counter order service, the food was exceptional. I had the Monte Cristo with eggs over easy. Eggs (done just right), ham and gruyere cheese was delicious. My daughter had the smoked pork omelet. If you like smoked meat, this is the one for you. Coffee was great and as much as you can drink until 11am. Orange juice was fresh and also delicious ( at $6 it should be... I know everything is expensive now but ouch!). Ever wanted to get to know your meat and veg while it's still kickin? Well, this may be the place. If you're looking to grab a bite and chill in a beautiful outdoor setting, then this is definitely the spot. Tables are clean and floors are as clean as dirt and grass can be. Seating area is organized well with enough space between tables, and decor is enchanting, with sprawling foliage and warm string lights. All seating is outdoors, temperature was perfect for my party and I. Clientele is primarily middle class, age 25-50, many children and dogs around. Isn't too busy and there is enough parking available, especially with the overflow across the street. Parking lot is dirt and in okay condition, a few potholes here and there. Staff is friendly and communicates instruction well. You order your food and pick it up, tables are not waited. Brisket sandwich was overall bland, but the brisket had a nice smokiness; it came with breakfast potatoes which were very well seasoned and perfectly crisp. Belgian waffle was tasty, soft, yet had a crispy crust. Chilaquiles were a little soggy and could've been spicier and more flavorful. Chocolate banana muffin was warm, moist, and flavorful, not too sweet. Cold brew was canned and was pretty good. Hot cocoa was tepid and could've been richer. The presentation for every dish was beautiful, despite being served in plastic to-go containers. Overall, my party said the meal was not worth the price, but you're paying for the venue as well, so take it as you may. I would definitely visit again, and would probably try the breakfast burrito next time. Tip: outside food and drinks are not allowed, but it is a wonderful place for a picnic, as there are open grass areas and corn hole, as well as picnic tables scattered throughout. The food was farm to table and you could tell. It was all so fresh and delicious. The Chillequilles with added chorizo was so good! Highly recommend this dish. The Monte Cristo and the Yogurt parfait were also tasty. You could really tell the ham on the Monte Cristo was farm raised and not processed heavily. The fresh OJ was the best ever! The setting was beautiful and the Farm is very nice, even in late summer. I was an hour early for a meeting near the airport so decided to go get breakfast. I had a cauliflower hash bowl and it was huge. Flavors were very good and the contrasting textures very pleasant. Overall, the meal was good- as good as any other brunch spot in the valley. The reason for only 3 stars is that my vegetarian breakfast bowl was $24 after giving an 18% tip at the counter. I usually do not tip at fast food or fast casual spots since you do not get a server, but it was not busy and wanted to leave them something. Understood that this place is not a value proposition, and organically grown produce is premium, but $24 for this item seemed about $10 too much, considering the bulk of the bowl was cauliflower, a relatively inexpensive filler. I enjoyed riding up to the Cafe as it was scenic, and peaceful. You can't please everyone, and I realize that so this is just my 1st visit and impression. The brioche French toast had no cinnamon and I didn't taste any eggs. It was mushy in the center of the toast due to the foster sauce. Syrup was added instead of on the side. I think this one was my favorite. My husband and I split the farmer's burrito and the waffle among ourselves and our 2 young kids. Both were delicious! I love that this restaurant and the lunch restaurant have a walk-up ordering system. It's actually a perfect place for us to bring our kids. You can either park in the lot outside of the farm directly across from the Farm location or you can drive into the farm and park right outside the Morning Glory Cafe. The Morning Glory Cafe is the a Breakfast/Brunch location that has a festive amount of breakfast options. This place was so good we had breakfast here twice during our 5 day vacation stay. The delicious entrees I had and recommend are the Chicken Enchiladas with scrambled eggs, Brioche French Toast, Monte Christo, the breakfast burrito and the Salmon Omelette. My favorite was what my fiancé order which was the Monte Cristo, which was thinly sliced ham layered between two slices of brioche French test with an egg over easy on top with a side of syrup. All together it gives your a mouth explosion with flavor. Hands down the most delicious item I had. The salmon omelette has delicious and freshly smoked salmon mixed with an omelette and I would say this was second place out of the breakfast items we had! The food portions here are pretty decent to be honest and they give you a lot of breakfast potatoes with your meal. Now the orange juice is another highly recommended option on their menu! They make their orange juice in house and pressed fresh to order! The ambiance of the outside view eating in a farm like setting make it feel like you were eating breakfast in a cozy farm environment! Nothing like eating a delicious breakfast on a sunny day on a farm! Nothing like it! Would highly recommend coming here during your stay in Phoenix. It was quite a glorious morning the day we went to Morning Glory Cafe. The air was crisp and cool, and since we ate here on a weekday there was plenty of seating available. I love the atmosphere of The Farm at South Mountain but had always eaten at The Kitchen so it was on my checklist to try out this breakfast spot. I had the breakfast burrito with chorizo. It was a huge portion, filled with fluffy eggs, potatoes, chorizo, refried tepary beans, cheese and pico de gallo. All the components worked well together, and while I enjoyed the addition of chorizo, I'd probably skip it for next time since it was an additional $2.50 on top of my already pricey $12.95 burrito. The plate also had sour cream, mild salsa, potatoes, and a slice of grapefruit. We brought the pups along since it's a dog friendly venue. They enjoyed hanging out and taking in all the sights at the farm. They have some mega chickens here that are larger than my dogs. Tricki was very intrigued! read more

In my initial remarks, I wrote of my disapproval about the coffee and some mediocrities with the food, and unfortunately that has not changed much. Let's get right to it. | Press Coffee | $3.75 to fill your own cups. Looks nice, but regardless the brand, it's just not worth it. As I previously recommended, get your own roast before or after breakfast; put your inevitable savings into your 401k. | "Pork is the New Black" Omelet | If this omelet is named after the uninspiring TV show, that would be fitting, for I was comparably entertained by this breakfast. Flavor was decent, eggs were a bit overdone, and the side of home fries were cold. For the amount of time we waited for our food, I expected much better. Of the items on my plate, the biscuit was the most enjoyable. My folks ordered the Farm Burrito -- they seemed happy with it. Definitely a good portion size; perhaps the most proportional to the high price points on the menu. And indeed, those prices are high. I think in the future, we'll just come by to hang out with the chickens and enjoy the garden. The Farm at South Mountain has so much to offer in terms of scenery, events, and activities, so there is plenty to be appreciated! As for Morning Glory Cafe, it does enjoy an acclaimed history of success; they can afford to not amaze, and suffice it to say, I was not amazed.
