Sort of a hidden spot located in Tempe. They serve fresh sandwiches and salads. We ordered the Farm Garden and the Smoked Brisket Banh Mi sandwich. The Banh Mi was better out of the two. I've had a ton of Banh Mi's so my expectations are high. The smoked brisket is what makes the sandwich good. It's a decent size compared to a traditional Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwich. A bit pricey for a Banh Mi sandwich and salad. Waited around 30 min for my order. Aside from sandwiches and salads, they have a variety of desserts, drinks and small snacks. Water cups are also provided. The outside seating is great, there's a ton of tables scattered around the area. The place is quiet and a great spot for groups. What a beautiful gem in South Mountain area.. This lunch spot is a section I had not checked out all the times I had visited the Farm. Always going to Morning Glory for breakfast, I finally made plans to meet a friend here and it was magnificent. Beautiful outside decor and patio furniture. A fun hip vibe is what I felt as soon as I walked up It is my kind of dining. The food is so amazing. The sweet treats are to die for. They have a cool.drink menu and everything. The staff is very welcoming and friendly with wonderful customer service. The Tuscan sandwich was so good. All the ingredients so fresh and the sandwich was made to order. The ciabatta bread was fluffy and the chicken was super tastey. I've also tried the avocado egg salad toast which I loved. I can eat their eggs with no semsitivity issues. And the desserts aren't super sweet either. The chocolate chip cookie had me licking my fingers. The prices I are.pretty reasonable considering it's farm-to-table and the healthy portions. I thought the food here was fantastic and fresh. Love the farm to table concept and that you're on the actual farm. I don't enjoy counter service meals as much as traditional sit down meals, and I found it expensive for a counter service brunch. The cocktails were quick and not well thought through and the bathrooms were dirty. The salad, soup, and sandwiches were great, though. And the atmosphere- can't be beat. It's really a lovely place. You can get it to go and bring a picnic blanket to spread out. People were even getting married there, and we enjoyed taking a walk to the gift shop. read more

The good: Cute little place! The food...very good! I had the pecan chicken salad n gluten free bread. My husband had the pecan chicken salad on a roll with albondigas soup. We both had iced tea as well. Refreshing. They need to offer simple syrup with the tea. Refills are no charge. We sat outside (only choice) in a sweet little shaded area at picnic tables. Lots of flies. This happened to be one of the last days before their summer closure. There were steady customers, but not too busy. Now for the bad: Our lunch was $54!!! IMHO that is too much! I have no problem spending $15-$20 for a sandwich these days. But then it better be a really good sandwich. These are not I had the chicken BLTDA and there was almost no dates and no Apple. One small strip of bacon. Super light dressing or mayo or aïoli. I can't remember what it was supposed to be. The bread is good. The chicken has almost no flavor whatsoever. It's definitely not cooked with any seasoning at all. And they cut the chicken and big chunks which is awful for a sandwich. If you're gonna make a sandwich with chicken, then slice it into long planks like you with a turkey at Thanksgiving dinner. The chicken completely overrode any other flavors. They were nonexistent. There might've been two or three pieces of apple. I don't think I ever tasted date. The sandwich is poorly designed and put together and it just falls apart, so there's no way to eat it properly. And because of the way it's so light on ingredients you don't taste any of those flavors in most of the bites. A sandwich like that you should taste those flavors in every single bite. Wife had the egg salad which sounded awesome and boy was it not. There's nothing wrong with it. But there's nothing special about it either. And it's $17? How? Again I don't have a problem paying for a great avocado, egg salad sandwich. But it better be really good. Nothing here is good. We've been to Quiessence before but hadn't explored The Farm Kitchen until recently, when a huge number of our friends all had babies within a few months of each other and we were looking for places to enjoy a nice brunch with possibly screaming babies. The Farm Kitchen is a perfect place for kids, with large grassy areas for running around while parents picnic. This isn't a place to grab food and go - it's more of an "order food and cocktails and sit around for three hours enjoying your weekend" vibe. Bring large blankets and a diaper bag and you can spend a nice afternoon here with 1-2 month olds. Menu-wise, I enjoyed the soup+sandwich option, with some form of meatball soup paired with the chicken BLTDA. The prickly pear margaritas and vodka coolers were also a hit. The Farm Kitchen is less about the food though, honestly, and more about enjoying the nice winter Phoenix weather at a place with grass and trees. read more

BEST TURKEY SANDWICH I have ever had! They don't use regular deli meat. They have a delicious aioli and cranberry sauce on the sandwich and it is DIVINE! I also ordered a cold brew when I was here with oat milk, no sweetener necessary for that quality. This lunch spot also offers salads and fresh baked goods, including carrot cake, brownies and pecan pie! I watched a baker making the pecan pies while I was ordering. Everything looked absolutely amazing and I will be back to try everything! A special note: the restaurants here bridge their garden bounties with what is offered on their menus. The prices will reflect the local quality but it is WELL worth it! Seating is outdoors. There are tables with umbrellas around the restaurant and also benches in the grass areas among the trees. A beautiful day for lunch outside but not impressed with the sandwich. I had the Farm Garden sandwich, full of roasted carrots, raisins and a tasty lemon citronette. No drink, one sandwich on thick dry bread and total was over $22! Too expensive for me. I had wanted to order one of the salads with chicken on the side to share with my vegetarian sister but the salads are prepackaged and not made to order. Very disappointed. You park across the street from The Farm and the restaurant is only steps away. This is a casual place that serves mostly basic salads and basic cold sandwiches. They also offer some dry goods for sale and fresh baked cookies. You order at the counter, pay and take a rustic table outside, your number is called and you pick up your food from the pick up window. I tried a pecan turkey Waldorf salad ($12.95) The turkey was moist and flavorful and the greens were fresh. I liked the spicy creamy jalapeño dressing that was a little different. They also give you a big chilled metal bowl for your salad. My husband tried a sandwich called The Italian ($12.95). It was filled with thickly cut Italian meats and had a few other things but didn't have cheese. He said the rustic bread was tasty, the meats were not as good as from an Italian restaurant but were still good. I'd give a 3.5.....everything was good. Flew into Phoenix today for a flight and had a few hours before our clients came back to the airport so I came here and it was absolutely amazing. Coming to the farm is always a delightfully educational, natural and visual adventure to the senses. The beauty alone captivates one's down-home nature, and spirited love for the country, the creature comforts of nature and harmony, and the subtle life of days gone by. For me this is all well and good, and I enjoy it, but unfortunately, like us, this captivation to the ambiance also spreads to general folk visiting this little haven in the city. So much so, that the throngs of individuals generate an opposite reaction of masses subduing the passiveness and serenity of the location to a green and lush public traffic jam! This little oasis no longer is. Too many people, too many cars! And, the 'Kitchen' appears in my book, as a feeder to these throngs, 'cause it's good. We've had the opportunity to visit here many times, and don't get me wrong, it is beautiful, we love it, and the food is terrific, though in our opinion overvalued. This is at best a once in a blue moon visit and a fabulous place to take your out-of-town friends and family as a unique Phoenix experience - be part of the 'nature' crowd. But trying to enjoy the likes of Huevos Rancheros, one of their mouthwatering omelets or good sandwiches and other fresh and delectable farm fresh offerings under a fab canopy of trees and garden surround in the open will be great, comfortable and relaxing, yet with the din and crowd of many enjoying the same around you. Loved the Brisket Sandwich, potato salad and Passion Fruit Tea. Our party also had the Avocado Egg Salad and the Spicy Cuban. All were quite yummy. Very nice portions and worth the money. I'm a huge fan of the Farm Kitchen on Maya's farm. I frequent the farm businesses and I am a CSA member of the farm itself. So, of course, I have very high marks for this farm in general. The Farm Kitchen is a casual dining experience suitable for a date picnic or girlfriends lunch in an open air patio with quaint picnic baskets to boot. For the novice visitor to Maya's Farm, there are 3 restaurants. The Farm Kitchen is in the "Little house" at the right of the driveway on to the farm. This season, they stopped allowing cars to park along the drive to the back of the farm where the 2 other restaurants (Quiessence and Morning Glory Cafe). Now when you come to visit The Kitchen, you have to park in the parking lot on the east side of 32nd street and walk across. once you enter into the Farm Kitchen, you are greeted with the aroma of some amazing baking or cooking. It always smells so wonderful in there. You will find some local food items in the store, even down to the locally made Poore Brother potatoe chips! LOCAL LOCAL LOCAL. Inside the Kitchen, you place your order from a menu that is loaded with your choice of sandwiches, salads, flavored teas, and soups. They normally have an array of desserts to choose from as well. I personally love the buttner squash creme brulee. Once you place your order, you go outside and wait for your number to be called. Once your food is ready, you can choose to sit on the patio or venture over to the picnic tables or spread your own blanket and eat your food under the pecan trees. There's a wide array of sandwiches to choose from, ranging from the farm garden sandwich to the pulled pork sandwich. The prices are around 10 dollars for sandwich or salad. For those that are vegetarian, there are 3 different full salads and 3 different sandwiches to choose from, all with distinct flavors. I've tried the marinated portabella, which was decent. Everything was very fresh, and the bread was high quality, but I would have liked to taste more balsalmic vinegar in the mushroom for more flavor. The whole sandwich was a good portion that will leave you full for lunch. I tried a slice of pecan pie ($4.25). It seems like it's made with freshly shelled pecans, but beware when you chew. Apparently they can get a bit careless with their nut-shelling, because I got a large piece of shell in my pie! (Minus one star, I could have broken a tooth on that shell!) Went to the Farm Kitchen for lunch on Saturday and actually really enjoyed it. I felt like I wasn't in Phoenix which was really nice. The location has a different feel to it and I love the alley with trees all down it and picnic tables to eat at. It was such a good experience. Now to the food and as much as I enjoyed my turkey curry sandwich and my butternut squash creme brulee I don't think without my groupon I can justify the prices. I mean come on $10 for a sandwich that's a bit steep. If it came with chips or something it might be a bit better but that is the only reason I can't give it 5 stars. I will probably still go back because the ambiance was nice and a nice spring or fall day it would be great to go hang out with friends and enjoy a nice lunch outside. If they lower the prices to say $7 a sandwich I bet this place would have a lot more business. Was hoping to catch Brunch at Morning Glory Cafe at the Farm, but we showed up about 5 minutes past 1pm, so decided not to bother trying to sweet talk them into shoehorning us in. Instead, we hit The Farm Kitchen for lunch. They were slammed! Upon walking up to the counter, I saw their advertised house Sangria, so I decided on a glass of that, a Chicken BLTDA (Bacon, Lettudce, Tomato, Date & Avocado), bag of chips and a mini pecan pie. My wife had a salad, a mimosa, and we split a largish bottle of water. Lunch came to around $62 + tip. I was not impressed with the Sangria itself, nor with the price / quantity. My wife likes mimosas with just a splash of OJ and when she asked for hers to be poured that way, she was rather impolitely rejected, a first for any restaurant at which she has ever ordered a mimosa in my presence. Further, the 50/50 split was poured with cheap sparkling wine, not a quality brand and, for the steep price, not impressed. My Chicken BLTDA was excellent. Dates and Avocado on a BLT were a really tasty treat. Definitely try this sandwich. My sea salt chips were flavorless, however, and the mini pecan pie was unimpressive. I would not bother to order it again. I really expected more from a house made pie from The Farm. My wife liked her Salad, which was massive. We also enjoyed the ambiance of The Farm for our meal, having taken everything to a picnic table out on the grounds to enjoy the beautiful weather. So, mixed review on this trip. Not sure that we'll try The Farm Kitchen again (although we did return on that very same night for a glass of wine to walk around the property with while looking at the Christmas lights). read more

This place is adorable! I came here for lunch with a co-worker during the week, there was a very short wait in line then our food came out quickly. The meals are served in adorable baskets! Then you can take your basket and find a table or walk a little further and find a picnic table. I had the posole (amazing!!!!) and the roasted carrot sandwich. Both were wonderful, fresh, and unique. The grounds of the Farm are just enchanting! We took a short walk after lunch through the grounds and it was so peaceful and relaxing!
