Yay for Vane's! We were in the area for an appt and had some time to kill, so using the Yelp app, we came across Vane's. Located on Guadalupe/Tempe border near Priest dr, this is a mom-and-pop restaurant located in a business plaza. The inside was very spacious which tells me this place gets busy at times! A very friendly lady greeted us and we ordered: Breakfast Burrito: delicious! You can get a burrito with your choice of protein. What I liked is the burrito had cubed potatoes instead of hash browns, so it added a light crunch to the burrito. The burrito was massive, I was able to split it with someone else. Cinnamon Roll: as you can see in the picture how amazing the roll looked, it is just as tasty! Again, the portion size is large enough for two people. I ended up spending roughly $25 with tip, so the prices are on point as well. I recommend we support this restaurant when possible! read more

Well, I tried this new place for me today. It's downtown Guadalupe just south east corner of Priest and Guadalupe. It's a mom and pop. It has seafood breakfast and lunch. They also serve beer. I had the country omelette, which was sausage, bacon, and mushrooms with gravy or the top hashbrowns and coffee coffee was delicious. Service was awesome. The owner actually served our food check it out. I think you'll like it reasonably priced. read more

We chose to eat here because we were staying one night at the Arizona Grand Resort. Otherwise, I don't think I would have come upon this place. It's a pretty small operation. It's located in the Mercado area near the Guadalupe Public Library and Town Hall. For any of the potential negatives this place might present, it's still a much better deal and experience to eat here versus the resort restaurant. We were getting breakfast for 5 adults and 4 kids. We ordered 3 ways- by phone, via Yelp app, and in-person. Phone and in-person were fine. The Yelp order did not come through per the staff, so we had to tell them and wait a bit longer. So I'd skip ordering that way or call to verify they have your order....But If you have to call to check, maybe just order when you call. Pros: - prices are very reasonable (I had the f$8 breakfast burrito that was big and tasty). - the staff are truly sweet folks. - it's a small, local spot that is pretty much a hidden find. Cons: - you'll need transportation from resort to go here. - not exactly screaming ambiance where it's located but I don't need every place I eat, especially breakfast food to be trendy or even nice. This is a small restaurant located North of the Guadalupe Public library and shares a parking lot. Inside the ring of stores where it is located it is to the West (Left) side. There are only 2 tables inside and 2 tables outside. Was visiting a friend, and we both had the breakfast burritos with chorizo and pancakes. They were good size. The waitress was nice although we waited 15 minutes for them to tell us they didn't have fruit in their establishment but their menu literally said chocolate and banana pancakes. The design in the restaurant had no direction with portraits of random celebrities. On there back wall it seemed like they were trying to be funny by placing a portrait of Marylin Monroe next to JFK and Jackie Kennedy. read more

We found this place last year by google search while staying at AZ Grand. It's close and absolutely amazing. Now merged with San Diego Bay restaurant and moved to the corner in a larger space. The portions are huge for the price and the food is so tasty, and service is great. Coffee was smooth and delicious! The crispy potatoes were actually crispy and so well seasoned! Ok so this place was actually very tricky to find. We and another couple literally walked all around looking for this place haha it's kind of hidden because there's not a sign and the one sign on it had a different name. Only way we knew to enter is when we saw this name printed on the window. Not super noticeable though, but it was there. The place was empty but they were super welcoming. They quickly attended us, and brought us all the food hot and fresh. We came for breakfast and we didn't leave disappointed. As time passed, we noticed a lot of ppl coming in and out with pick up orders. They were so kind and looked like a family owned restaurant. I would def visit again read more

This is our 4th time here, and I have to say that this is the best little hidden gem that Guadalupe has. The food is awesome, and talk about a variety of food. The menu is packed with foods that cater to those that chose vegan, gluten free, or regular food. It is a small place, but does have a nice area outdoor if you want to eat under a Ramada covered with vines and plants. The staff is so polite, and helpful. We found Vane's by chance while on vacation.. This place is an absolute hidden gem. A little hard to find as it's inside an enclosed Plaza next to city hall. The indoor seating is limited so arrive early. The food here is what you might find at a typical diner, but oh so GOOD. My family loved everything we ordered and staff is so super friendly. We loved the experience and food so much we came here both mornings we were in town. The photos dont do justice to how delicious the food is. I decided to place an order here for breakfast a week or so ago. I ordered an Avacado BLT with French toast as well as a side order of eggs and bacon.. The food was good, but there was nothing at all that made it special. The avacado BLT was surprisingly spicy for some reason, And the French toast tasted as normal as French toast can get. I've been ordering French toast with my breakfasts in hopes to finally find French toast as good as the one I had in pittsburgh. Pittsburgh has the best French toast. If you want breakfast food that tastes pretty good but isn't anything you'll tell your friends about, then come here. The prices were good for the amount of food I got though, so I actually recommend this place. It wasn't overpriced. Just some plain old decent breakfast food. 60/100 read more

This is a perfect spot for breakfast after a south mountain hike, run or bike ride. it's a little difficult to find even though it is located within a non-description outdoor plaza on a corner street. The sign out door references a seafood restaurant and Vane's. The interior is very simple, one might even say old. But the ladies who work there are sweet, and so helpful. It is reminiscent of an old diner. One that focuses on providing delicious food at good prices we've had the waffles and the pancakes, and both were unbelievably delicious. This has become my go to place for waffles! The portions are big, so be careful with how you order. We are so happy to have found this little gem! read more

Just stopped in for breakfast. Was greeted to a huge smiling face of the man working there. We ordered chicken fried steak and BLT avocado toast. Avocado was seasoned soooo good. We are visiting from Michigan, staying at the Az Grand and wanted to go out for a good breakfast. This was definitely off the beaten path, but was so worth it. Due to other recommendations, my husband decided to try the stuffed French toast which did not disappoint. It was the perfect balance between fluffy and crispy and came with this delightful coconut cream stuff. I had the chicken fajita omelet which was both tasty and filling. We were so happy with our breakfast that we returned again the next day. We had the French toast again and a breakfast burrito and drank our weight in coffee. The couple that I presume are the owners were very kind and served us quickly. It is small, but they do a lot of to-go business. It is not fancy, but it was perfect. Our Uber driver was a little concerned that it might not be open when we arrived because there were no cars in the parking lot, but it was, you just have to go through the green gates and look for the tables outside. read more

The place is a gem of a restaurant hidden in the Mercado off of Avenida Del Yaqui (Priest Dr.) and Guadalupe Rd. The owner/operator greets customers and cooks all the food. Expect to wait 20+ minutes if you come with a few people, but your food will be amazing! read more

What a fantastic place for what I would consider a hole in the wall. But, it is a large hole in the wall that looks like it's a neighborhood gem. The food was excellent, our service was excellent and for a change, it was well priced. We went for a Monday morning breakfast, but it looks like on the weekends in the evening.
