I loved this place. Not only was our cabin a great value for the nightly rate, the owners friendly and accommodating, the dog welcome, but I also found ticks! In my underwear! That was kind of our fault - for going outside in Arkansas. This place was really beautiful and quiet, very peaceful. The kitchen had just about every possible utensil we might have needed. The bedroom was cozy and the bathroom clean and sadly, larger than the one we have in our own home. The back porch was huge and had a nice view of the marina and lake. I would make one suggestion, however, to this and any other tourist-y attraction located in most parts of this state. Please. For the LOVE OF GOD let out of state people know that most counties in Arkansas are dry when they make a reservation. I'm not sure why we didn't know this - I guess since when I think of Arkansas I think of old men wearing only overalls sitting in bathtubs of moonshine and firing shotguns into the air for no reason. Nope. We went for a long arduous hike in the Ouachita forest only to visit gas station after gas station on the way back to the cabin, the slowly encroaching nightmarish vision of an alcohol free evening overtaking us, and after a desperate last attempt at an out-of the-way grocery store yielded no respite, it was then that I realized we might be alcoholics. Ha ha, not really. But it was really fucking lame. read more

I was pretty disappointed with our 1 bedroom cabin and the price they charged for it. I had been to one other cabin and remembered how nicely it was furnished - had the true cabin feel. The cabins are in a beautiful setting but ours was furnished like the cheapest motel ever. The sofa looked like it was found on the side of the road and was as hard as a rock. The extra chair was not comfortable at all. The deck plastic chairs were broke and had to be leaned against the cabin wall to keep from feeling like you were going to fall back out of them. The TV was so tiny- probably a 10"- and far away it was a strain to see so didn't even watch. The beds were very uncomfortable and had to be the cheapest mattresses ever made.. I found chunks of food on the floor and behind the bed hadn't been vacuumed in years. Towels and bathroom and kitchen were clean though. read more

Great family owned lodge! Clean cabins with tons of adventure awaiting. Bring your own food if you plan to cook no grocery store around. But that's not a biggie because camp fire overlooking a beautiful lake out of the city noise will take any worries away. Already planning my next trip back! read more

We took our girls 5 &7 yrs and our dog. We stayed 4 days 3 nights in a rustic lodge. Lodge is supplied with towels, tp & coffee daily and is fully furnished with full size kitchen with supplies. Also has direct t.v. Stop at Walmart in Nashville for groceries and extras. A great thing about it, no internet and very minimal cell phone service!! We rented a boat for half a day, fished on boat and on the boat docks. The Dam Grill is good and everyone there is very friendly and the prices on everything including the cabin was great!! A very reasonably priced trip for a family of four. We dug for diamonds one day and the girls had a blast playing in the mud there. An excellent get away for a family or a couple. We will be back without the our girls for just a couples trip! read more

Great place to stay. Has good prices for various rental options ie. cabins, motel type room, tree house (with kitchen) option, Super close to lake Greeson for fishing, boating etc.., picturesque . Would be great for family reunion or large get together. Beautiful campgrounds within walking distance too. Stayed in motel style room and tree house. Motel style room bare bones but least expensive option Tree house was nice splurge . Can got hot in summer. Have fun. read more

This is a beautiful place. The cabins are always nice and clean not to mention so affordable. The owner will make you feel like family. We make sure and visit at least four times a year! There is No better place to stay within an hour drive trust me we have stayed at them all until we found this place. read more

Loved this place! Stayed 4 nights and 3 days. Days were filled with the diamond mine, river, lake, and excellent star gazing at night. Even saw the milky way one night! Saw deer out in the morning. The cable is a little touch and go but I didn't mind since we weren't there for that. Very great location. Would go there again next year. read more

If watersports ---skiing, boogie-boarding, power-boating, party-cruising---are your thing---and your ONLY thing---this is definitely the place for you. But if you also want a place to gather with family beside the water, or to paddle, to fish, to hike, or to simply enjoy a view of nature without having to get in your car and motor to another destination, choose somewhere else to vacation. The cabins are fairly well-appointed , though if you plan on using the kitchens for more than just making coffee you'll need to bring all your cooking apparatus including pots, pans, paper goods, and utensils. The cabins also have spacious, shady back decks with comfortable chairs, overlooking a wooded hillside sloping toward the lake in the distance. But neither cabins nor condos feature what I would term a "lake view", and neither are accessible to the lake without driving and parking, or a hike through woodland. The "condos", have an efficiency kitchen with almost no utensils. They have little furniture, nothing on the walls (which needed painting), and an old TV with intermittent DIRECT satellite reception. They had a small shared deck with a few plastic chairs, and no hooks or towel racks in the bathroom. They offer a front view of a dumpster and heavy equipment, and a back/deck view of other cabins and a work station. The floor in ours needed mopping as soon as we arrived, I killed several flies, and it had a very strong odor of cleanser. The adjoining door to the next cabin was not locked. My bed was more comfy and supportive than most, but hubby's bed (2 queens) wasn't and he ended up with a stiff back. Far beyond the trees in the distance, down the hill, was a glimpse of a large, crowded, noisy, and busy marina. Neither type of accommodation was within reasonable walking distance or appropriate accessibility of the water. There was no nearby, terraced, stepped, "walk-down" place to gather on the water with family and friends, and just hang out. The only docks available for bank fishing, or just sitting in lawn chairs watching the sun go down, were at the ends of the marina's many floating metal boat houses, where not more than one or two people could have fit. The drive between accommodations was less than what we' expect from a federal public natural area--it included not only glimpses of deer at woodlands' edge, which was nice, but parked heavy equipment and dozens of boat trailers in the woods, some with grass growing through them. We were unpleasantly surprised to find that the fishing barge we had rented for one day was not available until 8 a.m., and was due back at 6 p.m., and that it included neither troll motor, as promised, nor an anchor. We came back to the dock for an anchor, which they reluctantly provided. Its rope was barely long enough to reach the bottom in many spots. Lake Greeson itself offers a great expanse of relatively clear water, wooded hillsides, and lots of obstacle-free room for lots of people to simultaneously engage in motorized water sports, and in general, party on the water. But you want or need anything else in a lake-based summer family get together..." Meh. I've experienced better". read more
