One thing that drew me to this place was the therapy dog they advertised. Would have been really nice to use for the kids. Especially since it was a funeral for 8 year olds dad. But we were kind of matter of factly told the dog wasn't back yet. Would check but didn't think would be available. Very nice funeral home. Before we even signed any paperwork they already had deceased body there. Not sure if that's how the funeral homes work. I was a little surprised because I kind of felt we were still in decision making phase of where we would hold the funeral. It seems with these chains now they have a main corporate office that runs everything. The other thing I liked was everything happened at the funeral home.

I had no idea how to plan a celebration of life, or where to start. From the time we walked into Gearhart, Ryan, and everyone was amazing. He did so much for us, from helping with the officiant, jewelry, food, down to the emotional support dog, Jackie, for our younger children, not to mention, the hot sauce, and puffcorn during the repass, which were our sons favorites. I truly felt like each and everyone one I encountered cared. I was not rushed to leave, and everything was on our time. He was very sensitive, but straight forward with answers about things, and very helpful when it came to insurance. We literally didn't have to do anything but pick out flowers, and food. He was available when needed, via call or text. I hate that we had to do this, but I can't thank Ryan enough for making it a little easier. Would absolutely recommend.

Exceeded expectations by a mile!!! They went far and above anything we have ever experienced before in any memorial service. They really listened to us and seemed genuinely interested to know who Jeff was; then made areas in the room that reflected Jeff's interests and personality with pictures, memorabilia, and more. They had to have spent hours and hours on getting it ready! It was like a showcase of Jeff's life. He would have absolutely loved it! The quality of everything they did was top-notch. The printed programs, the guestbook, and everything was so thoughtful and well-crafted. The pictures I have included are just a small sample of what they did. The walls around the room had slideshows with pictures of Jeff's life. It was EPIC! Daniel, Corrine and the entire staff were wonderful to work with. Always pleasant, helpful and supportive. We had never planned a funeral or memorial service before and the staff here helped us every step of the way and made the process actually enjoyable. They took care of everything before, during and after the visitation, service, and luncheon so we could spend time with our approximately 70 guests. The building was spotless, comfortable, and perfect for our family and friends to get together. I really can't stop raving about this place to everyone. Absolutely a great value, worth every penny spent. They really made a day we were dreading into a wonderful memory spending time celebrating my brother's life. A+++!!!

We started to worry about 10 ( why were we put in the situation of worry -shouldn't it be grief?) We called and the person who answered said she would call dispatch and it was a very busy morning. They delivered our mother around 10:30 without the flowers which came about 15 minutes later. Our mother only has one funeral, and it was a disaster. Most of our guests were unable to see her and pay their respects before the celebration of life started, no urn no flowers. When talking to the person that my brother got passed to the next day Was very apologetic so sorry so sorry blah blah he said he would credit us $190 out of $4700. That's how sorry they were, unacceptable and unbelievable, and he said he would pass it on to the owners. please consider going elsewhere when you pass on the care of your loved ones for their final celebration.

Losing loved ones is never easy so having someone who cares and has great character was very assuring those two times in our life. Soon after, I spoke with my family about next steps, and my brother found Huber Funeral Homes. Of all the places he called, Chad, the program director there, picked up immediately. He said he could meet with us the morning of Labor day (the next day) to review booking a date, pricing, and answer any questions. We had the meeting around 10 am, and he professionally arrived early in a suit. He gave us the information, and we felt comfortable enough to go with him. He also gave us a folder with all the information not only about the funeral, but also about what to do after one loses someone. I appreciated that. The day before the funeral, Huber Funeral Homes coordinated with the hospital (where my father passed), embalmed him, and transported him to their location. We had to think of so much that day; I'm glad they took care of everything. The day and a half I had to organize the funeral, I worked with Chat to have a program printed, and he gave me so much flexibility in getting those materials to him. When I arrived, they already had my father, flowers, and everything else setup. They accommodated us and our request, for a Buddhist funeral, too. After the ceremony and reception, they coordinated a funeral procession to Lakewood Cemetery where they cremated my father. They hired law enforcement to literally stop traffic, for us, as we traveled from Eden Prairie to Minneapolis. I hate the fact I'm writing a review about a Funeral Home, but Huber is a business, with locals working there, too. And they did such a good job that when an awful event like the loss of a loved-one occurs, trust Huber Funeral Homes to help make the worst time in your life a little bit easier.
