WORST NANNY AGENCY EVER! Rachel and Michelle (the nanny coordinators) are rude and condensing. Rachel called me or should I say harassed me daily until I signed a contract with them. She even called me the day I was giving birth! They sent over an unqualified nanny who eventually quit after 6 weeks. The agency did not even offer to send a temp. What they did do was ask me to pay another $3200 finders fee! This company is a joke. I wold never use them again and I would say Mommy Beware! This place is a farce and unqualified to find you a nanny. read more

This is absolutely the worst company you could possibly use to source a nanny. We hired our first nanny through Morningside to care for our 9 month old daughter and paid the stiff fee for what we thought would be a company standing behind their well-screened employees. This is not the case and please don't let anyone convince you otherwise. After about nine months on the job, we realized our liquor cabinet had been almost completely tapped. Our housekeeper confronted the nanny when she was seen adding vodka to her "tea" in her insulated yeti-style cup. The nanny said "oh come on, the baby is sleeping" etc. This is when we investigated and realized how much alcohol had been consumed. The nanny admitted this was the case, but defended herself by saying she only did it before she was leaving for the day. One, we know that was not true, and two, we know our nanny had to take two freeways to get home. The vulnerability of our child makes me ill to this day. The worst part was that when I called our placement agent (Rachel) to say, "We have fired the nanny because she has been drinking on the job" her immediate response was, "It sounds like you are in the market for a new search!" in a very chipper, upbeat tone. She changed the subject completely when I explained the many reasons her company was in the wrong on this, and she used verbiage like "I can see why a potential situation like that could be upsetting" but was expertly trained to not say anything remotely nearing an apology, let alone take an ounce of responsibility or explain any course of action they would take with their nanny. The fact that I paid thousands of dollars less than a year before meant zero as well. The response solely focused on what kind of nanny I would need going forward. (Of course I nearly had to quit my job of twenty years until we were able to find someone through word of mouth.) Do whatever you can to steer clear of this company. It is a well-oiled machine, but not in the way you might be led to think. I am lucky my daughter is alive and well today, which is in spite of the horrible people at Morningside Nannies. read more

The experience I had with morningside nannies was absolutely the worst! The finders fee to get a nanny is very pricey and they get the nannies from care and other sites! Along with that when I spoke with the agency the lady I spoke to came off as a racist and VERY rude. I absolutely will never do business with them. read more

I have used Morningside Nannies to hire two nannies (the first part-time, the second full-time). In both searches Michelle was highly responsive and incedibly helpful, first helping us find a wonderful nanny in the competitive afternoon timeframe and then an incredibly qualified, professional, and loving full-time cargiver for our baby and toddler. In the search for our full-time nanny, we found out over the Christmas holiday that the nanny we originally found through another channel was not going to work out, and I returned to work in January. I called Michelle in a panic and she wrote up the job description while we were on the phone and within hours she sent me profiles of several highly qualified candidates and scheduled multiple interviews for the following day. We interviewed and highered our wonderful nanny on New Year's Day and Michelle supported us through the entire process, including final negotiation and finalizing hiring documents, despite it being a holiday. I am incredibly grateful for Michelle's hard work and commitment to helping our family find a top-quality caregiver! I'd recommend Morningside Nannies to anyone without reservation! read more

I work in children's ministry at a church and we just adore Morningside Nannies. We have a full nursery staff, but sometimes for large events we hire out to have extra hands. Morningside is always quick to find nannies for you and send their information. Every nanny I have personally come in contact with has been wonderful. Disappointing experience - beware if you go this route. Read their contract carefully, complete their forms on time and be careful with who you hire- as not all of their nannies are high quality. We were initially very pleased with Morningside Nannies, they were very responsive and the quality of the nannies seemed high overall. After paying thousands of dollars in placement fees, we hired a nanny who was initially pretty good. A month in she started showing up for work late almost daily (over an hour late sometimes, and regularly between 5-15 min late) with ZERO communication that she'd be late or apologies. On a few occasions she also was a complete no show or left abruptly. Then several times we found the nanny so fast asleep on the couch, that she didn't even hear the baby crying. I travel for work and thought that I was getting peace of mind by using an agency, that was not the case. The nanny was so incompetent I literally landed from an exhausting work trip and had to go straight to my son's swim class to pick him up because she couldn't handle manage it. We talked to Morningside they implied that we were somehow at fault, which is absurd because there's really no excuse for showing up late and sleeping on the job and generally not fulfilling your duties despite detailed written schedules - and we let it slide many times in a brief two month period. If the nanny doesn't feel the family is a fit, then they can discuss that and choose to leave at will, which our nanny didn't. When we raised all these issues within the 3 months, Michelle refused to help us hire a new nanny without charging us another $2000 in placement fees solely because we hadn't filled out their nanny placement form within 2 weeks (because I had just had a baby and this unfortunately fell through the cracks). So rather than just do the morally right thing by us, they tried to get more money from us to find a replacement. We just threw $4000 down the drain for three months of completely unacceptable childcare. I'd go with a different agency or better yet, avoid an agency altogether. read more

I have used Morningside Nannies for the placement of two Nannies. I recently used them and had to terminate the Nanny abruptly for serious safety concerns and the complete lack of concern and attention to my children. I was in the first 90 days of the agreement and the agency refused to honor replacement due to the lack of a signed "Nanny Agreement" per their policy. I have since reviewed the agreement and do not see anything listed that the tell the Nanny specifically to care for the children and not ignore their safety needs while on the phone, or texting in my home. Shame on you Morningside! read more

We use Morningside Nannies for occasional babysitting. We have had several sitters come to the house. All call beforehand and have been very nice and qualified. Our kids are 6 and 12 and they have said nice things about the sitters as well. It is more expensive than going through my list of college sitters, but during holidays, finals and summer break our college sitters are often unavailable. I really like the convenience of sending an e-mail request for a sitter to Morningside Nannies and knowing they will arrange a qualified person to be with our children. read more

They placed a nanny in our home who was simply not what they represented. Then when I tried to reach the owner several times he flatly refused to speak with me all the while creating problems in our home. Horrible experience and when a CEO doesn't address an issue with a direct supervise I find that troublesome. After some admissions, I would not feel comfortable accepting the due diligence done on candidates here. I just would not recommend it to a friend. read more

This service is a money pit. They gave us 1 option for a nanny and do to our urgent need we hired her. No 100 days into the agreement the nanny informs us she is pregnant. We went back to them for assistance and they kindly inform us that they would love to help us for ANOTHER $4000. This if bull! What kind of ethics is this for a company that supposed to be helping families in need. Save your money. They only out to get you and will only help you for an additional fee. Horrible services. Very fee option of qualifed nannies. They don't even offer drug testing for families. THIS IS NOT HOW GOOD BUSINESS IS DONE. I HOPE YOUR COMPANY GOES UNDER!!! read more

I requested a nanny for a day for a sick child. I asked the nanny to take the temperature every hour and record it in a book to make sure the child does not have fever. I called the nanny to see which temperature measurements she was getting. The nanny told me she was getting 94 degrees Farenheit !!! She did not call the parents and did not tell anyone that she was getting these ridiculous temperature measurements during the day read more

My wife recently hired a sitter from Morningside Nannies and the sitter arrived almost one hour late and she did not feel the need to answer her phone or to call us to let us know. When the sitter met my children, she told me she had no experience with the ages of my boys, she had only worked with infants. After arriving home the boys told me they watched television all day, was not happy to pay $15 an hour and an agency fee for someone to hang out on my couch all day. I do not recommend this agency. read more
