Skip a few months later, I'm moving out, finally, so I call to ask some questions and I knew it was her that answered the phone because I recognized her voice and her tone. A large portion of her belongings in the unit were damaged by water and are covered in mildew and black mold. Cubesmart has still not notified other renters about the water entry through the roof, nor have they confirmed with my sister whether they will do an official inspection and fix the roof. Despite having paid for two insurance plans, one being a plan offered via Cubesmart (the plan is with 3rd party provider) and the other through a separate personal property insurer, my sister only received a $2,000 check from Cubesmart's insurance provider. Her separate plan won't provide any coverage because the damage is seen as being preventable (by Cubesmart). My sister has spent the better half of the last year and a half in the hospital with her daughter fighting for her life, and bringing any kind of mold near her would be life-threatening (she has progressive lung disease). Replacing the items isn't an option on top of the massive hospital bills associated with her care. And guess whose responsibility it is to remove, sort, and dispose of the damaged and dangerous items. That's right, the renter. You'd think having two insurance policies covering your storage unit would be enough, but Cubesmart seems to only be interested in protecting themselves. And then there's the sentimental value of the damaged possessions, which obviously can't be quantified. If you care about the items being stored, find a business you can trust to store your things in a truly "climate controlled" environment. Cubesmart, your company has not seemed interested in making this right, and we are not fooled by virtue signaling in the Google/ Yelp replies.

"Oh yeah, well I guess that's the price then." Wasted a LOT of time. Had I gotten an apology of any kind I might have still gone forward with it. Not one person I talked to apologized. And no I didn't miss understand anyone.

These were not climate controlled units. In any event they served the purpose of storing my items. Good people, site was clean.. except these last 2 units one did have a dead rat, and it had a lot of leaves. Which I cleared and removed with the trash. The last one I cleared had rat droppings and leaves. Probably rats moved them in for insulation during the winter months. I rarely visited my units. It was unexpected to see this much litter. Still I complied to the terms of cleaning it.

It was so pervasive, covering and damaging all the antiques. Insurance did nothing and Midgard avoided any responsibility. No discount, no cleaning, just a constant price hike. Savion supplied boxes and tape needed for my own packing and Temo and his team Avery, Larry, Darrel and Junior took care of fragile mirrors, paintings and tvs and loaded the trucks like Tetris! They did and amazing job, and I had no damages!! The team in NC headed by Anthony took extreme care of emptying the trucks and put everything where I asked them to. *I do not remember the names of the 2 teams headed by Anthony, I am sorry about that, but you were all wonderful! Moving is stressful, but The Atlanta and Charlotte Netmove family was respectful, patient, friendly and responsible and the move was a lot easier because of this company!!! They also make me feel safe here coming & going. If I email questions I get a very quick reply. I had a door issue they were quick to respond and address. I like the code to get in & out so I can come and go as I need to. I chose a non climate control unit, because I need drive up access. Otherwise I think I would suggest you get one with climate control for your own comfort if you will be in & out. Not an issue with the facility, just a suggestion in general. It is a little pricey, and you need to have insurance on your items. It was easier to just use theirs, so that is what I did, no issues thus far. A few things to note that I was not aware of- There is nowhere to toss regular trash, I have to take it with me. They have a dumpster you can use but there is a monthly fee and it wouldn't be worth it unless you had a lot of trash to dispose of each month and I do not. They did offer to assist if I had a box or something as a one off which was very nice of them. The other thing that surprised me was it costs more to have extended hours access. I do not recall how much it was because the regular access hours are early enough and late enough for my needs so I think you'd only need it if you come really early or return really late.

The property is secure and the facility is clean. Now the office is run with virtual computers set up by Reliant Mangement and customer service no longer exists. They are absolutely horrible. I would be extremely cautious in giving them any credit card or debit card information for auto payment as they are now streamlining cash from their customers by issuing you an invoice for one amount and charging your credit card a higher amount. Of course you cannot speak to any management because they are busy hiding behind their cameras and email system. I would also be aware when renting any unit as they will give you one price and then two months later substantially increase your monthly amount.
