It's freezing cold and we're having to wait 90 minutes for service. Well she didn't because I received a $130 fuel charge. When I called the first time after noticing this I told the woman who took the picture and she said she would investigate. We've gone 3 days now and the picture is apparently gone and both females are denying this happened. I told them to check there cameras because it will show me coming back in and the young lady following me to the truck. Only corporate can see those now. I won't even mention what happened trying to pick up another truck. This U-Haul is out there stealing money!

In one day, they packed up the truck in NC and delivered it to VA the next day without any breakage or loss. They even loaded my refrigerator on the back door of the truck so it could be plugged in over night for the next day's delivery with no loss of frozen food. All the crew members were respectful of our properties. PS: I do recommend a big jar of Halloween candy. It seems they each have a sweet tooth.

Terrible movers. I believed the prior posts on yelp and hired them…read more The crew showed up a little late. They immediately started arguing with each other. The arguments got so heated one of the workers left the site. They dropped furniture, damaged walls and trim work in the house where they were packing up and damaged trim work in the house that they were delivering the furniture. Hellen (the owner I think) tried to maintain peace but had no impact. The arguments between the crew never stopped and slowed down the whole move requiring two days to move. Without asking the moving crew went into refridgerators and pantries to get food. Used the microwave to warm up food without asking. Made themselves comfortable in the kitchen to eat lunch and never cleaned up. Smoked on the back porch and left ashes everywhere. Used every single bathroom in the house and broke a toilet paper holder in one of the bathrooms. Several pieces of furniture were scraped up because of poor inexperienced handling (ussually by one person when two were necessary to move it). They scraped furniture over floors rather then picking them up causing damage to floors. They forced large upolstered furniture through door opennings rather than picking them up and angling them through the door. They used furniture pads that were old and dusty. They still have one piece of furniture that they are trying to repair. I have used movers over 15 times up and down the east coast and by far Byers is the worst movers I have ever encountered. I would not recommend using them for your move.
