They kidnapped my vehicle into their shop for a half-hour assessment and tried playing it down another $2k for a mysterious OBD readout that didn't trip a dash light -AND- even if there was a problem, they ignored that my vehicle is still under all factory warranties. THEN came the stereotypical used car dealer added charges and fees. All the while, I never even saw the vehicle i was interested in trading up to buy. The only thing that wasn't circa 1972 was the clothes. Every associate I saw walking around was dressed like a slob. Not a button down shirt in the place, much less a suit or tie or even a pair of dress slacks. So yeah, if you want to get played with the same racket they worked 50 years ago, swing on by Morrie's. What am embarrassment. This kind of place is the reason people don't trust used car salesmen.

They use CarFax as a shield to hide behind the fact that the car may or may not have been in a wreck. Upon getting the car home my husband found FIVE auto sources that reported the car had been in a WRECK!!! Also upon our drive home we found out we needed a new car battery. After driving for less than weekend we found out ,as new Subaru owners , the auto start stop function was not working. When they did auto body work to vehicle they didn't hook up the wiring harness correctly and the hood was not aligned. Thankfully Forrest Lake sent us to their Subaru dealership and we were able to get wiring harness fixed, but, hood is still maligned and paint job has issues. Thank goodness for the Morries promise 30 warranty we were able to get reimbursed for a battery. Recently we were informed by a mechanic that our engine mounts need to be replaced.

I moved to Minneapolis in August and needed snow tires for my CLS 550, which has larger rear tires than the front tires, creating a difficult conundrum. Sears Autos contacted Mercedes and found appropriate same same-sized winter tires for my car, charging me around $1500 for the tires and installation. Okay, I authorized this purchase and dropped my car off the next day. A few hours later, I received a call that a key to remove my wheel covers was missing, and they would have to order another one. I knew that key was in the car, and I asked them to keep looking. There was no callback. The key was in my glove compartment, like I initially told them. After installing the tires, the mechanic at Sears found oil leaking everywhere and emailed me a video of my engine, calling the car in dire shape unless I spent close to $6000 to fix the oil leak immediately. He advised against driving the vehicle until the repairs were done. I was skeptical and decided to pick up my car to check the oil leak myself. I was upset when my wife dropped me off, and I pulled out of Sears Imported Automotive without checking whether the summer tires were in the trunk. Once home, I realized my tires were missing, and I phoned Sears to get them back. They had no idea where they were and passed my call on to the manager. He actually became indignant with me, proclaiming that they were a family business for over fifty years, and I should watch my tone. He told me to call back on Monday. This was a Saturday. On Monday, I received a call from Sears saying they had found the tires and that I could pick them up. I insisted that they deliver the four tires, and this man agreed to deliver them the next day. Looking over the engine, I found no oil but decided to drive the car 5 hours near Milwaukee to my trusted mechanic in Stone Bank, Wisconsin. Richard would provide me with the truth. After an uneventful drive, Richard scrutinized my car and found nothing, I mean nothing wrong with my engine. There was no oil leak. The only thing Richard told me is that it might be too early for winter tires, since temperatures over 45 degrees can soften the rubber on some snow tires. Miraculously, it was 70 degrees in mid-November. I drove back to Minneapolis thinking I might keep this car forever, but when it needs work, I will drive back to Wisconsin. DO NOT TAKE YOUR MERCEDES TO SEARS IMPORTED AUTOS IN MINNETONKA FOR MAINTENANCE.
