This is a review of the experience I had with Sears Imported Autos…read more We dealt with Setnu and Finance manager Jason. I must begin by saying that I am a remote customer 1200+ miles from the dealer nor the easiest customer. Though they were quite firm on pricing, they did try their best to accommodate our budget though it was a rare vehicle. Nevertheless, they made our out-of-state purchase as an active duty military a pleasant one. First, they are extremely keen at following up; the most commendable quality of a dealership especially for an out-of-state purchase. Jason, in particular, updated us almost daily with the paperwork/loan process; he was clear about his work hours and is always available if we had any questions. He responded to all our emails/calls either immediately or shortly after finishing with his prior customer. We despise any dealerships that leaves us hanging (our #1 pet peeve) and they aced this part. Jason is also a previous military (Army) member! Secondly, they are appreciative of our assistance with titling/registration paperwork. We've purchased vehicles from 5+ different states including California, New York, Kentucky, Virginia, Colorado and are well versed in the process. Jason was knowledgeable and willing to admit when he did not know the process; this is admirable because we have dealt a dealer who said they have "15 years of experience" but really did not know anything about the registration process in our State. Sears/Jason handled my paperwork efficiently; titles mailed on-time with the rest of the registration paperwork while I'm deployed using an out-of-state address. Lastly, they communicated immediately after the vehicle was picked up by the shipper and provided us information as well as the estimated arrival date. Some dealers may tell you "we can't guarantee a ship date" and leave you hanging. We are not asking for the exact ship date; we know it can be variable (plus or minus days) depending on weather and how many vehicles the shipper is transporting. We simply want to know the approximate date so we can plan ahead. They did very well on the final part. This is by far the best out-of-state vehicle purchase experience we've had. Again, we would like to reiterate how well Jason handled the transaction. Setnu was also very communicative as well and we enjoyed working with him. Overall a great experience. We will definitely come back to purchase another car if opportunities arise. Keep up the good work Jason, Setnu, and Sears Imported!

They price their cars fairly and they encourage you to take to own mechanic for additional inspection. Even went the extra mile to work with us on our trade-in as well - that was a welcome surprise! Highly recommended. We will definitely reach out to the folks at 411CarLine again when in the market for another high-quality used car.

POTENTIAL BUYERS BEWARE!…read more We purchased a vehicle from Chris at 411Careline and thought we purchased a very clean, low mile reliable vehicle. Prior to purchase, Chris was very kind and non-pushy, which I appreciated. After test driving the vehicle we decided to purchase. After purchase we brought the vehicle to the Ford dealership for an oil change, it was then when we were made aware the car had multiple pending safety recalls - one recall was to prevent the car from starting on fire! These recalls were pending for over 3 years! We made the appointment to get the recall completed and during the appointment we were made aware that the recall was taking longer than normal because the car had a junkyard motor in it! Furthermore, the dealership gave us a list of items that were wrong due to the replacement engine being installed improperly. The dealership advised us that we would need to pay out of pocket to get the car back as the tech needed to fix issues before they could complete the recall safely. Here is a list of items the dealership noted wrong: * Found studs for exhaust mount to transmission missing * Transmission mount rubs on transfer case * Found starter shimmed away from transmission * Exhaust heat shield on body near sub frame loose * Transmission cooler tube bent and rubbing on trans case * Vehicle has junkyard motor installed (noted by all paint markings on engine) * Would require several more hours of tech time to piece together car and find all missing / wrong items This was 1 week after we took delivery of the car. I was shocked and felt taken advantage of. I immediately called Chris to notify him of my findings and told him we would like to return the car and was surprised when he told me he would have to contact an attorney to see "how to handle this". Chris told us multiple times they have their cars inspected by 3rd party mechanics prior to them listing for sale and swore all their cars are clean. Come to find out they pay a mechanic $30 to drive it around the block to make sure it is not leaking fluids and the brakes work. Chris told me he would get back to me, never once apologized or asked detailed questions about the dealership's findings - I knew we made a mistake at this point. It took Chris a week to get back to us, he then sent a long email telling us they will not take the car back as the laws in MN do not require them to do so. They do ask if you want a 3rd party mechanic to look over the car, at the buyers expense, but I felt comfortable buying from them and the fact they had it inspected before they sold it was good enough for us. What a mistake! I would suggest you skip this dealership as they clearly take on cars that have issues or have had issues in the past and are unwilling to make things right if they find out otherwise. Right now, we have a vehicle that has a motor with unknown miles and lots of issues that need to be fixed. If anyone is interested in more details, I am happy to provide documentation.
