Had an house-call scheduled for 1:00 pm. At 1:15, I called company to make sure we were still on for an appointment as I had not received a confirmation or call about a delay. I was then provided a direct number to the individual who would be doing the job. When I called and asked if "we were still on, I just wanted to make sure since I knew he had other appointments", his response was that he wouldn't be back in town until at least 5:00 or 6:00. This prompted me to ask "was I not going to receive a courtesy call giving me a heads up?". The man immediately flipped out on me using coarse language, calling me a f***ing a**hole with an attitude and he didn't need to do business with me. I said "I am sorry but I have a newborn and I am working around his schedule so I was curious...". Then I got cut off being told it wasn't his "f***ing problem and that I need to be a more responsible parent". At that point I hung up because I didn't deserve to be talked to that way. I called the store number back to ask for a manager. Upon this, I was made aware there was no manager and that the individual I was talking to was the owner of the company. Extremely unprofessional and downright rude. As I shared with the receptionist, we all have busy days and we have to respect that. And that there is no reason to treat a patron in such a matter. read more

We added a second kitchen to the house in the basement and was sent to Morris Granite to see Dan. After a couple trips we decided to do two different granites in the kitchen and met with Dan. He gave us his recommendation on installation and finishes. We then went to the "Granite Farm" in Morris and picked out our slabs. From the beginning we told our kitchen designers, our contractor and Dan that we were on a tight schedule and needed to be done by a certain date in December. Everyone agreed to our time line. The cabinets were installed on the Friday after Thanksgiving and after a call to Dan on Saturday afternoon, he came out to do the final measurements within minutes. The granite was installed on Wednesday and it could not be more perfect. Dan went way above and beyond in providing great customer service. He came back a few days later to ensure that everything was perfect, which is was. Dan's pricing was comparable to the Big Box Store but the selection, installation and service were far beyond anything they could have done. The whole process was incredible from start to finish and I would recommend Morris Granite to anyone looking for quality granite at competitive prices. read more

I needed a small 30" X 40" piece of granite top for a custom work station. The cabinet maker recommended I go to Morris to select material/color etc. I found their selection and product knowledge nothing less than top notch. Their business is really for much larger commercial projects but they were willing to supply a small item like I needed. The top came in quickly but unfortunately was fabricated 3" too short. Being in the commercial construction business myself, I know these things happen. It is worse for a supplier when it happens on such a small item where the little bit of profit would now be gone as a result of having to order another top. The correct size was ordered, delivered and brought into my home. There was no charge. There was no trying to cover up an error either. The top was simply remade. I will recommend Morris granite and will buy from them again when I need their products. read more

What a great company. We were referred to Morris Granite by our contractor and from the first time we walked into the showroom in Bloomington, we knew this was going to be great. Once we came back and had decided upon the two different granites, we met with Dan and discussed all the options. We then went to Morris and picked out our pieces of granite from the granite yard. Dan and his crew did an awesome job of installing the granite for our new (second) kitchen. We would highly recommend Morris Granite and Dan to anyone looking for granite.
