Sixty-eight cents, for three-sixteenths of steel, A relic small, as if the past were sweet, Like candy once sold by merchants who'd deal In simpler wares, before our age's deceit. Yet in the lot, where trucks hummed low and gray, A man in blue, his chest a logoed sea, Spoke of unions, prices, the Fed's great sway, And crypto bills that bind what once was free. He pressed in hand a list of podcasts, links, Modern tracts, like those the prophets made; And in my mind the sacred scroll now blinks-- Revelations, and Jesus, whip displayed. The temple's tables, overturned with wrath, The dollar's ghost, the "greenback's" fragile path. And yet, I left with only what I sought: A bolt, not soda, though the thirst was strong. For in such errands, oddly, I am taught That even common days to verse belong. They installed leather granite in our kitchen four years ago. The granite seam was coming apart so…read morewe contacted Dan and he agreed to come to fix. A few reschedules because he was so "busy", we got a time for early Saturday and waited. And waited. We live in the country and saw a white truck drive by and then drive by again. No Dan. Text him again and received a curt text back indicating that he had stopped by our house, rang the doorbell and waited a minute, then left and was very aggravated with us. Was not our house and blamed US for messing up his day. My husband was always professional in his text to him, always polite about his not showing up when he said he would, and never getting upset OR feeling he was "special" (what does that mean, anyway?). Here is Dan's final text to us after my husband said we no longer wanted his service: " We have 1000's of clients every year since 1893. I am sorry that you are offended that I did not remember how special you are. I did assume, so that is my bad. Never claimed to be perfect. So, if you want to be a dick, we can certainly part ways. If you want to be reasonable I can reschedule. Either way is fine with me. I will assume the first, unless I hear from you. Good luck." Very unprofessional, and apparently because he's had thousands of clients, it does not matter to him what kind of language he uses on past clients, so future clients beware.

Just had my granite countertop installed and it's beautiful! From the time I made the inquiry to…read moreinstall was about 2 weeks. Great selection and very comparable prices from other chain stores. Guys were very friendly and took great care to removing my old countertop to cleaning up any mess. Highly recommend shopping local with this company.
