Came in very tired and pooping blood. Been in the waiting area for an hour and half. No sense of urgency here. Try another hospital.

He said my appendix had ruptured and there was a lot of bacteri, infection and inflammation that needed to be taken care of before even thinking about surgery! I asked him to take the appendix out before I go home and he said Noooo! Let's wait for everything to heal! He was incredibly patient and gave me lots of information! His bedside mannerisms were impeccable! Whenever we visited him in his office he always shook both my husband's and my hands! I felt extremely relaxed and knew he was the best surgeon I could have asked for! My appendectomy was on August 4th and I have absolutely no issues at all! I highly speak of dr Nikesh Lath and would recommend him wholeheartily! Thank you Dr Nikesh for saving me!!!!

It included blood pressure, EKG, blood work, urinalysis, etc. This ruled out a life-threatening emergency . I was reevaluated every few hrs or so. At that point, I could have left since a heart attack was ruled out, or I'm sure I would have received immediate care. A triage nurse has extra training in emergency evaluations. I was seen by the doctor after 14 hrs. of waiting and then admitted for two days. This is just my opinion. I think a lot of the people in the ER could have gone to an urgent care or waited to see their doctor the next day. Some people did leave. I guess they decided they weren't that sick. The wait time is ridiculous, but what can the hospital and staff do when people keep coming in. There are also ambulances coming in as well. The staff did their best to make people as comfortable as possible. In my opinion the staff work very hard to take care of the patients. I don't know what the solution is, but I do know it's people much higher up that need to fix the problem . It's sure not the staff.

My spouse was c/o SOB and difficulty breathing and the nurse put us back in the waiting room. When she called us back, our new nurse went to go get a dr bc it was scary and she wanted a dr to lay eyes on him. Instead she came back with tubes for blood and no dr. The dr finally came in 40ish mins later. He pushed on my husbands stomach and never listened to lungs, didn't check feet for perfusion, nothing! Pretty scary. The dr ordered 2 doses of medication that he himself said he's never seen work... so whyyyy are you giving it to us and wasting time? Then he came back after the second dose didn't work - not to check in between doses and not to check on the patient but to tell us we had to be transferred bc they literally have no other services, including anesthesia, at VW any longer - it would have been nice to have been informed of this upon checking in so we could've made the decision to go to Kish and spare the cost of an ambulance. Supposedly my spouse was in serious condition yet was on ZERO monitors for over TWO hours while sitting in the ER, then the nurse tried to blame me for not putting them back on him when he laid back down in bed. Like ma'am that's not my job - the er rn manager, nursing supervisor, ER RN had all been in the room multiple times and never bothered to put them on! Then when it came time for him to be transferred to Kish, it all a sudden became urgent enough to where he needed an ALS ambulance so he could be monitored - even though he had zero monitors on in the ERl! When we were questioning what the plan was, the RN claimed she had NO idea other than him being transferred. We asked if the mentioned procedure would be done that evening or the next day and again no idea. Come to find out, according to the ER dr note, he had literally spoken with the surgeon and they discussed the procedure would be done upon arrival but no one bothered discussing any of that with us. We have young children and needed to figure out child care and they didn't seem to care and couldn't be bothered to either pick up a dang phone or speak with the doctor. We asked multiple times for the physician to come back and discuss the plan with us and it never happened. Dr Sanders (ER dr) had the worst bedside manner and when we ASKED if we could transport via our own personal vehicle as he had not been monitored in the ER, he became angryargued he would sign him out ama and let Kish know so we would have to wait all over again in their ER if we took POV. Said ambulance was policy, even though he could not show us the policy. The funny thing is I left the same time as the ambulance and somehow made it there like 15 minutes faster. That's real assuring. I do not understand how this place is allowed to call itself a hospital and not just an ER. It's a junk hole and the dr we had belongs there.

It is vast, encompassing everything from the emergency area to the main sections and patient rooms. The environment is impressive and spotless! Upon my admission to the room, I found it to surpass any previous hospital experience. Upon my admission to the room, it exceeded any previous hospital experience I've had. The technology here is far superior to that of other hospitals I've visited. They are so advanced compared to other hospitals I've visited. The equipment they use is far more advanced than what I've seen in other hospitals. I hope I don't get sick, but if I do, the hospital is definitely the place to go! My attending doctor, Dr. Kaiser, is truly exceptional. He listened attentively to all my concerns and made me feel comfortable during the visit. I've never felt more at ease discussing my health issues. He is one of the kindest doctors I've encountered. His communication style is very pleasant, which makes interactions with him enjoyable. He provided outstanding care throughout my entire journey, from diagnosis to recovery. Additionally, he ensured that I fully understood all my options before moving forward. His staff even followed up to check on my recovery--what amazing service!ervice! These nurses (Katie, Jaimini, Erika, and Niro) and the PCF staff (Connor, Jay, and Matt) who attended to me are among the reasons I highly recommend this hospital. They played a significant role in making my stay pleasant. These nurses and PCF staff are wonderful, they exhibit exceptional personalities when interacting with their patients. They always wear a smile and consistently ask if I need anything. In some hospitals, unless you call for help, the staff may not come by to check on you. Nurses and PCF staff like these truly elevate the profession! I sincerely appreciate each one of them. The social workers at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital are also fantastic! They called to check on me and offered assistance with getting home. To summarize, Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is truly one of the best! It is the best hospital I have ever visited. There are many positive aspects to highlight; the hospital is spacious, clean, and features excellent patient rooms. The quality of care provided by the doctors, nurses, and PCF staff is a major reason I would highly recommend this hospital. If I ever need hospital services in the near future, Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital will be my first choice! Thank you so much, Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, for making a significant impact on my stay. Thank you

When they diagnosed my problem, I was admitted and I swear the care was so good that I didn't mind being there at all. I will never go to another hospital unless I am travelling. In my opinion, CDH is the best, with kind and qualified doctors and nurses and the finest care around.
