A damn good small town burger joint. Although everything can always get better like not having my meat fall apart, but my cheese did its job keeping everything on the up and up, and this place does a good job serving an everyday cheeseburger. I think they'd benefit by toasting the bun a little longer and seasoning the fries, but the fries were still tasty and the patty had good seasoning... some spots in the city can learn a thing or two from these guys, and when I'm in Cleburne I'll hit them up again. read more

Now that's a burger! The meat was flavorful, juicy, and wonderful!!! The toppings were perfectly dispersed, and the bun was wonderfully toasted! I also had the onion rings which were a delightful compliment to my burger. My husband ordered the fries so I tested one of his. It was soggy and bland which made me thankful for my choice. There was no seasoning, although salt was provided on the side. I can only assume the lack of seasoning was intentional since everything else was so seasoned to perfection...but it is a must that fries are seasoned as soon as they are out of the oil!!! read more

I don't think it helped this place that it was built up so much before I came here. It's your regular small town burger joint that was thrown together. It has it's charm with the small seating area and small menu. They treat everyone great here as well and you could easily become a regular. It reminded me of quite a few places I've been to all around the country really. The food is nothing special. I was being told it was the best hamburgers ever, and I wouldn't say it broke my top 10-15 burgers. It's cheap which is great, and the people are nice and the food is middle of the road. Lunched here today. Like a Kincaid's and Smashburger hybrid. They keep it simple, only American cheese and Freedom fries in just the right quantity not to overload you with useless carbs/calories. Worth the wait (15-20 minutes), but a call ahead is the best option and then eat inside if space is available. RC cola to round out the Slim Jim combo! Burgers fried on a flat top griddle that taste like your grandma used to make in a skillet. Hole in the wall, limited seating, awesome hand made burgers and fries. No frozen junk here. Only place I know you can get a dbl dbl, fries, and drink for like $7.(the real treat). Morris Neal's has been a Cleburne staple since somewhere around the 40's or 50's. You simply can't get much better than Morris Neal's. The restaurant itself is small and tucked away from the rest of the city but one visit will take you on a trip to the past. They just don't make them like they used to and Morris Neal's is a prime example of this. The menu is old school and super simple but the quality is incomparable.
