We chose the Galley because we wanted steamed clams and were delighted by the choice. For a local place it was hopping! On a Wednesday. When we got there at 6pm there was a 30 minute wait. Luckily a spot at the cozy bar opened and we pounced. The bartender took our order shortly after we sat down and we didn't waste any time ordering clams. They came out quickly and were steeped in the most delicious broth, which we slopped up with soft pieces of bread. Will come back for these for sure. We were still a bit peckish so we ordered crab cakes. They were ok but we wouldn't order them again, had they been hotter may have made a difference. Next time maybe we'll get a window seat to be able to enjoy the view as well as the sumptious dinner.

He took my number down and said he would call in about an hour when to come back. I purposely made my phone super loud so i would hear the call when the table was going to be ready. More than an hour passed so we walked back to check our place in line. He tried to say that he called 20 min ago but he said couldn't remember why it didn't go through and couldn't even come up with an excuse lol. I rechecked the number he wrote down which was correct. I had my partner call me and she had no problem. He promised us the next available seat. Another party after us literally went through the same thing as us where he claimed that he called but I'm sure he didn't. We got seated right away after so I'm glad we came back to check! Our server (i forgot her name but she had blonde hair) made up for it since she was super delightful! Aside from that i was looking for her to tell her it was my partners birthday but i only saw him. I asked if he could tell my server for me and he said yeah! They can put a candle on the dessert we order. He asked me what dessert but i didn't know what the options were yet so he said he would just tell my server anyway and we can pick. Lo and behold, no candle lol. That guy sucks

James our waiter was super friendly. STAX along with their perfected menu has large impressive selection of local and notable wines and champagne. While on vacation, my friend and I went in a boat ride of Morro Bay. The reservation was super…read moreeasy to make. I called day-of and was able to book a tour. I traveled here in spring, so I don't know what summer bookings look like. The ride is about an hour long. We went on the booze Tiki cruise. The drinks were rather large. They offered two sizes, we got the smaller size and that was perfect for me. I was super excited that I was able to bring my dog! I paid for my 2 dogs, I only brought on (the other is 18 and he had been out all day, he was asleep in his kennel). They don't do Refunds, but I was supposed to get a drink pass, but I don't think I did? I didn't realize until way later, though. There was also a goat on the cruise! I like to call it, "The Story of a Dog, a Goat and a Boat". I think the boat only held about 22 or 24 people. It wasn't super cold on the boat. We were pretty shielded. Remember, people might be drinking, so it can get loud! I'm giving them 5 stars just on the fact that I could bring my dog! I can't say that she loved it (she was scared, she had never been on a boat before), but thank you for a fun experience.

We were told there would be no issue, but this was not the case. Despite our call, we ended up waiting nearly a half hour to be seated. Clearly, transparency falls behind on the Dockside list of priorities. After we were finally led to our table, we perused the menu in search of the delicacies we hoped for. That, we did find. The food itself, and the service alike, were superb. With each bite came deep yearning for another. But throughout the meal, something bitter remained present in our conscience. The disdainful lie that which was told tainted every fiber of our experience. We truly hope that the Tognazzini family takes the time to reflect on the promises they give.

The rental dock is right on the pier. It's 100 bucks for 1 hour. They give you instructions on how…read moreto drive where to go and how to pull back in. They also give you a little Bluetooth speaker for music. If you have kids they give you life jackets. The boat itself I believe fits 7-8 people. They also encourage you to bring food and just relax. The area isn't to big so I didn't think we'd use the whole 1 hour. We actually did because my boys enjoyed it so much. We all really loved that we got to see the sea otters and seals a little closer than usual. The scenery is beautiful as well. Not to many people in the mornings and the sun is as out in full affect. A great time was had. Anyone wanting to try but nervous the boat might be hard to drive it wasn't. The guy helping us compared it to driving a golf cart. Very easy to drive and the ride was smooth. Highly suggest them if you're in the area.

We loved our electric boat rental with Bay Cruisers! My husband and and I took their boats out…read morethree times over the weekend for sea otter photography. The boats are easy to manage on still water or in high wind. Instructions are clear and the staff is friendly! Highly recommend adding an hour or two on the water via e-boat to your Morro Bay itinerary.
