When I called the office for my MRI results I received a call back from Dr. Schwartz within 5 minutes. I should also note how WONDERFUL the rest of the office is, from the front desk to the nurses. I've only visited the Wisconsin Ave office which is in a large office building with other practices. Parking is $5 for the first hour and I've never needed more than 1 hour.

So he decided to send me for an MRI only to find out I did not have tendinitis after all, but rather a stress fracture which I had most probably made worse by "continuing to do what I was doing". I ended up with a boot for 4 weeks after which I scheduled a follow up MRI for myself! His nurse has no apparent knowledge of what she's doing and the Office Manager tries to hold back information so patients can't submit for insurance. Overall terrible experience.

I initially saw him for orthotics. Dr Firestone was tireless in making sure that the orthotics were exactly right and called the manufacturer numerous times to have them modified until they were right for my foot. I also saw him for a painful toe. His treatment quickly and gently resolved the problem. Most recently a neuroma was causing pain and hindering my ability to take the long walks that I love. After carefully examining my foot and my orthotic Dr Firestone felt that a modification to my orthotic would help resolve the problem. Dr Firestone personally sent a picture to the orthotic manufacturer detailing exactly what he wanted done. He will contact me when they are ready. I know from my previous experience with him that he will not be satisfied until " he makes it right for me." So for a full week I have continued to be in pain, with no diagnosis even started, because Washington Radiology failed to do what they promised. Find somewhere else to get your MRI!

While checking out, he then proceeded to bill me for the cost of my appointment in full ($200), instead of my traditional $10 copay, despite the fact that he takes my health insurance. He assured me that he would "forward my health insurance reimbursement to me" when he received it. Shady. Several weeks later, a check for $88 appeared in my mailbox; it was a personal check, handwritten by the doctor. Nothing else was in the envelope; there was no note, no receipt, nothing. I called his office and asked for some paperwork; I wanted him to prove that out of my $200 out-of-pocket appointment, my only reimbursement was $88. Several days later, I received another envelope in the mail from him, that contained an invoice he had handwritten. It just said "Patient owed $88 from health care company". Again, no official paperwork, only his own handwriting. My healthcare company however did send me official paperwork, saying that my total reimbursement should have been over $150, not a mere $88. I photocopied all this paperwork and mailed it back to Dr. Carver, asking him to please explain and to please reimburse me in full. That was over a month ago. Predictably, no response. The physical site is gorgeous, parking is nearby (not free though) and it's metro accessible. It's clean, the staff are friendly and professional and they have an in-house lab which saves a trip to Lab Corp. Additionally, they now offer mental health services which is a nice bonus. If you need a prescription called in to your local pharmacy, you can request via their app or website. If you have a non-urgent issue and need advice, you can message a nurse or doctor for help. If you have an urgent (non-emergency) issue, you can usually get an appointment relatively quickly; scheduling through the app is very easy. The user interface is easy to navigate. Also, the staff don't try to "upsell" you in any way or pressure you to get an unnecessary vaccine or test. In closing, I highly recommend OneMedical. It's worth the annual fee (which isn't that pricey IMHO). There are locations throughout the country - and the network of providers at every location is superb.

I am supposed to get "walk-in" lab work periodically, and almost every time I go to this office to do it, they are not available, even though I only go during their published lab hours. They allow no contact directly to the office, so there is no way to check and see if their lab has randomly decided not to work today. My attempts have come at various days and times and missing them two out of three times tells me they take off work more than they work. I used to use the Metro Center location, but have to use this one now because it is the only one close enough to my work. Because of the incompetence of this office, I canceled my One Medical membership. Do NOT use One Medical and certainly not the Rosslyn location. All they do is take your membership fee and do NOTHING for you.
