    Chicken Rose

Came here for their cannolis but saw they had pasta and had to try. They are fairly priced for the portion. We really enjoyed the chicken rose sauce and the ravioli was really good too. Came with a slice of their fresh bread which was great for dipping. It's more of a takeout place not really much seating so we went to a nearby park to enjoy our food. They also have sandwiches that look good too. Will come back to try other items. Yelp gets 20% on check in too

I happened to be at this location for a yelp event to get some cannolis but couldn't leave without trying something else. Pictured here is my yummy and massive sandwich on a bread they bake themselves. Firstly, I was impressed by the size. Then the bread itself is sooo yummy. I'm so glad they also loaded it up cause usually places cheap out on the filling. Wish I got it with cheese which was offered to me but I wasn't sure if I should add it in if the sandwich didn't already come with it so didn't want to ruin the flavors. The spice is awesome. I so pleasantly surprised by this sandwich since I wasn't expecting much but man was it good. A lovely English lady took my order and even hand delivered it to my car! Now that's service! My encounter with her reminded me that there was was pop-up shop on Queen with British goods for sale so hence my pic with all the other English treats. Now for the cannolis. It was delightful. If you happen to be there make sure you try their creative and inspirational twist on these otherwise rather boring desserts. I mean, sushi cannoli anyone? Owner was on site and lovely to chat with. Thank you for today and I'll be back!!!

I love that Yelp members get 20% off here! I recently found out about this place from their Cannoli Crunch Yelp Elite Event and found out that they are share this space and kitchen for both! It is not the easiest place to find, since it is rather small and have multiple businesses in one building as is, but at least it is conveniently located to the right or East of Stanley Park on King Street W. Their service and presentation were on point even though the scratch kitchen was a tad on the smaller end. Obviously, it is more of grab and go place, but still, I love the energetic and friendly staff that they have! They will ask if you have any preference and would give you thoughtful suggestions based on your answer. Since they were so generous with their Cannoli Crunch Yelp Elite promo by giving away a set of 6 cannolis, I just had to support them back by getting one of their Italian Sandwiches for dinner!! Oh my, that veggies sandwich that I got from them was the PERFECT picnic food!! It was fully loaded with vegetables like roasted zucchini, peppers, onions, spinach and tomato sauce! It was aromatic and all so filling!! Came out to be less than $10 after the discount! What a deal for this sizeable meal! I can easily split this sandwich into two and still get two decent snack meals out of it! It was that stuffed and worthy of every dollar spent!! They also have salads, pastas, and gelato options here!! Oh my, will definitely ask other foodie friends who live nearby to go order takeout here with me, while having a nice picnic at Stanley Park. What a lovely afternoon that would be. That is what life is all about really. Good food and good company. Sounds simple enough but not that easy to find for either nor both and here it is win-win!! I am so grateful for Yelp!! Thanks for this recommendation!!

The sandwiches there are to die for, taste phenomenal, huge size and currently only $9.99. I went back several times already after trying them a couple of months ago. Got turkey sandwich and muffleta sandwich. Will definitely go there again soon. Can't recommend moreso me enough

Wish I had known about this place last time that I visited Toronto! Huge fan of great sandwich shops, and the fact that I could get gelato as well was a nice bonus. There were a bunch of different sandwich options available off the menu from behind the counter. I opted to try the daily special for my first time here, because I'm special, and sometimes you just want to feel special right? Well I definitely felt great after this. The meatballs were tasty, but also a little heavy. Definitely left me full through the day. Honestly, felt a little overwhelmed when I saw the gelato. Not because there were too many choices, but because I wasn't expecting it going in and so I had to make a split second decision. And my next decision will be to come here after work some time so that I can get more gelato.

I just recently discovered Morso Me. This place is fantastic for lunch! The food is decently priced for the area and more than enough. I've only tried the Chicken Parmesan and Steak sandwiches so far, but they're both fantastic. The bread is great. The meat is freshly cooked and also great. Simply great Italian sandwiches. The staff are also incredibly friendly and clearly take pride in the quality of their food.

This small little bake shop had a menu hanging up, but I completely ignored it thanks to the baked goods right behind the counter that I was too busy staring at. I knew right away that I was going to order a Chocolate Croissant because, well, I always order a Chocolate Croissant if one is available. After making my first choice, this strange little baked good caught my eye, and it turned out to be something called a Cruffin.......a Cruffin you say? What is a cruffin? WELL, let me tell you. The cruffin is basically like a muffin, but like, with cheese and pepperoni on it so obviously I hate to order that sexy little bad boy right away. This thing wasn't big, but it was very dense and basically tasted like pizza crust which was absolutely delicious. After eating the cruffin, the Chocolate Croissant seemed way less cool but I ate it anyway. It tasted good and the chocolate was actually spread across the whole thing so they get an even bigger thumbs up for doing it right. Overall, COBS Bread was the spot! I had no idea this was a chain, but who cares, this place was great. I really liked the Cruffin I got and the croissant was really good as well. I will absolutely be revisiting COBS Bread when I come back to Canada and devouring a few more cruffins while I'm at it!

The interior is dry while the bottom and top is moist. It's height and width is too high and wide so any attempts to bite (to get that moist sweetness to mask the middle dryness) just guarantees a joker's smile of smeared sugar... so, overall a decent bun, but nothing you'd dream daily about. Want to also add the store is very well organized with their display of goods and the service is professional and efficient.

It blends a traditional Italian deli style with a modern downtown vibe and is known for fresh panini made with quality meats and ingredients, many imported from Italy. We tried their "Il Padrino" and "Capricciosa" panini, and both stood out with crispy fresh bread and a great balance of mortadella, prosciutto, salami, cheese, veggies, and sauces. The combination of fresh bread, curated deli meats, and flavorful sauces gives each sandwich a really nice touch. Besides sandwiches, they also carry Italian-style groceries like pasta, cheeses, desserts, and drinks, which makes the visit feel like a quick trip to a small Italian market. I was intrigued when I heard that another Italian cafe/sandwich shop opened near the Annex/Harbord Village. They have a variety of panini style sandwiches with a fridge/freezer of imported items such as frozen meals, meats, dried and spreads, sauces, cake slices and gelato! All the sandwiches sound delicious! Hard to choose! I went with the Alla Romana $16 (Prosciutto from Abruzzo Italy, Semi-dried cherry tomatoes, Balsamic glaze, Fior di Latte). The bread was crusty & warm - all quality ingredients!! The prosciutto & other topping were plentiful. Great flavours. Fresh! You can tell it was made with care. I was surprised at how big the sandwich was. It was cut in two & placed in a take away container which travelled well. The sandwich was still intact and perfect when I got home. The bread has a good crust but was soft inside to be a good compliment for the filling! I did get a piece of tiramisu & a small single serve cup of gelato from the fridge/freezer to be tried later!! I am a big fan of sandwiches with quality great & quality filling and this checks off the boxes. Staff was friendly and the sandwich is a good value given the top quality ingredients. If you've been to Italy you will appreciate inspired sandwiches & pantry items! Quite a few tables to sit down and enjoy your sandwich with a cold or hot beverage. They have a TV with the Olympics on too! The sandwich picture doesn't do it justice! Go see for yourself!! :)

There is also a lot of seating for you to come in and eat as well, incase you did not want to take out. Now onto the sandwiches! I kid you not, the bread here is the most softest, fresh bread which also does not get soggy with all the toppings/sauces that get put on it. And then all the toppings that get added are super fresh. These sandwiches truly are addicting but also worth the money! I'm going to continue with my overtime take out review series with Sandwich Box. You would think making a sandwich is probably not the most complicated task out there, but this place seems to get it all wrong. My order consisted of an egg salad sandwich on whole grain bread with a side salad. When I received it, I only got the sandwich and the restaurant failed to tell me the salad was no longer included in the combo (yet the price remained the same). That's great that the online menu was not updated to include items no longer available, a simple update would address all these problems knowmsayin? Now on to the actual sandwich, the bread was thick. I mean so thick it looked like there was about a half an inch of eggs inside of two encyclopedias worth of bread. The eggs themselves, totally flavorless and bland. Kinda hard to mess up an egg salad sandwich right? Even Tim Horton's can get that right! To make things short and sweet, I'll be looking over this option the next time I'm working late or considering a sandwich in the downtown area.

I agree that the price for a sandwich plus side salad is quite pricey ($13 including tax) but I like the fact that everything tastes fresh and light, and you have alot of options to customize your sandwich in a healthy way. I ordered the rosemary focaccia with chicken breast, arugula, avocado and chipotle spread plus their usual sprinkle of salt, pepper and squeeze of lime. It's like a gourmet sandwich - the bread was thick, soft with hints of rosemary and yummy. The salad was mostly arugula with carrots- this was very lightly seasoned but at least I won't be hit with itis going back to work! Definitely would come again, although not regularly since it's kinda pricey.
