Oh yeah. Just all the way, this. Go and get yourself cheesy potatoes and say, "take me home, Jesus" because heaven is near. We got the European something (I neglected to photograph the menu), with potatoes and arugula and prosciutto and whatever that hot, heavenly cheese is, and I still have dreams about it. It's the best cheese maybe of my life. Thank you, cheese man, for sharing such bliss.

Oh my cheesy goodness. Wow. This little wonder is located where Crooked Can brewery is. Basically it's a little kiosk in this open market. I ordered a c-blt (c stands for cheese) and my husband got the cheesesteak. It's basic but this is where it gets amazing. They prepare your food and at the very end, they pull out this huge wheel of gooey, stinky cheese and lay it over the sandwich. It was a sight to see. The cheese is stinky and oh so good. They informed me that it is mild compared to the weekday where they use this even more stinky stuff that is banned... yes banned from being used during the weekend. I need to go back and try this because I am intrigued beyond belief. The sandwich was really good, bread was soft and you can taste the other flavors besides the cheese. Great find!!

This place is a MUST if you visit Plant St. Market. The raclette cheese over potatoes is simply perfection-and so filling! The staff is friendly and courteous and the market vibes add to the overall experience.

You'll find Morthan Cheese inside the Plant Street Market, Downtown Winter Garden! I've been here a couple times and really loved it! They specialize in petite meals covered with melted raclette cheese. The way the cheese is melted onto your dish is so cool! The cheese is so rich and flavorful, you can literally smell it as it's being melted! Pictured is the BLT-C sandwich, it's definitely a must try! Highly recommend!

Are you obsessed with cheese? Like, obsessed, obsessed? This is the place for you {us}! First of all, Morthan's is located in the Plant Street Market which is perfect for you to place your order and then walk up and down the shops until your order is ready. I always go with The European Tradition: roasted potatoes topped with arugula, prosciutto, artichokes, peppers, and a side of pickles... topped with the most important ingredient: cheese! They have two options for you, I believe they have an extra sharp, and a mild sharp cheese. They allow you to try it before committing to the meal. The meal in size seems small, but once you're done you feel content and not too full. The flavors are what gets me! It's soooooooooo good I can't even explain! The people who manage the location are so kind and willing to describe the menu for you to help you decide what to order. I truly always enjoy eating here and cannot wait to return. Now go get yourself a nice entree topped with cheese and a crooked can beer and call it a day!

After walking by this venue often I finally sampled one of their sandwiches, Morthan Wish. Roast beef, lots of cheese, some greens and mild horseradish. It was a great change from my normal choice of food. Especially because I love melted cheese! My next visit I will check out some more of their menu.

This place shines if you like Swiss cheese. Morthan Cheese is located in the Plant Street Market. They hooked me by offering a free sample of hot melted cheese. The premise is "melting and scraping a 13 lb Raclette cheese wheel, coming from the Alpine region of France and Switzerland, served over your choice of our handcrafted and premium creations." They were serving the Raclette cheese over (Southern charm - Brussel sprouts, meatballs, potatoes or on an Italian sandwich. Because I could not decide between the meatballs and Brussel sprouts they let me do half and half. I received a generous portion for $12 plus tax. The perfect meal for two people would be to split the sandwich and the southern charm. In my opinion the meatballs were just ok, however the sprouts were sublime. So if I had it to do over I would ask for the sprouts again. I think the Italian sandwich (with Ciabatta Bread, Prosciutto, Sun-Dried Tomato and our Premium Raclette Cheese) looks like a winning combination as well. This restaurant has been open 3 weeks when I visited and they were slicing the cheese and seemed to be working hard to keep up with the demand. In all fairness I probably visited on one of the busiest days as it was the Sunday of the Winter Garden plant festival. The whole area was packed with people. I look forward to trying them again when it is not so crazy.

We ate at Morthan Cheese this evening, it was SO DELICIOUS!!!!! And eating at Plant Street Market where Morthan cheese is located is FUN! My husband and I shared a "Southern Charm because it looked too big for just me to eat, but after eating it and enjoying it so much, I will have my own next time. It was baby potatoes, Brussels sprouts, baby onions and a few tiny pickles covered with their delicious melted Raclette Cheese. The cheese is very mild but has a great flavor. As I ate it, I wanted more with every bite. After broiling the cheese It takes a while for the dish to be built but watching them make each dish is very entertaining. They are located in the middle of the Plant Street Market, across from The Butcher. The West Orange Trail is across the street so you can actually ride your bicycle there, or you can bring your dog. The seating outdoors is dog friendly and also family friendly. At this place a child can be him or herself, talk loud , climb on the bench, play with a toy. Nobody cares, everybody is just smiling and eating great food!

Amazing Raclette. The traditional melted cheese dish from Switzerland. Very good food. Great atmosphere in the Plant Street market. With a good brewery in the building to slake your thirst and accompany the meal.

Pretzel bites with cheese were amazing. Came out super hot and fresh. This place is located in a market with other food vendors. Perfect for appetizers.

Oh how I really wanted to love this place. But, it was just ok. It looks better than it tastes. The cheese cools off pretty quick, so it's not as melty as it should be when eating it. Maybe the A/C is too cold in Plant St Market and hinders the enjoyment of raclette lol. The employees were really nice though.

(11/13/2019) Great idea and presentation and something different for the area, who doesn't love cheese?! Raclette is rarely seen in these parts (across the pond). Got the Baby Baked Potatoes with Bacon, and Pretzel Bites, both with melted Raclette. It was delicious and oozy. The tender potates were many levels better than the pretzels, but I'm not a big soft pretzel fan (and they were prepackaged from frozen, so not super great to begin with), got them for the kids at the table. Probably the pretzel bites would've been better with the beer cheese, as they congealed into a very hard mass after the cheese cooled. Same with the potatoes, but those were still edible afterwards. Note: eat it fast while the cheese is still gooey for maximum enjoyment.

Emilio makes the most amazing food. You can taste the passion he has for his food. I love that he has brought a unique dining experience to our area! Raclette is really special. If you haven't tried it, you should!

We tried the hummus with fresh vegetables, a charcuterie board, and the olive oil flight, and everything was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The charcuterie board had a good selection of cheeses, meats, olives, nuts, fruit, crackers, and little sweet touches that made it fun to graze through. The olive oil flight was also a really unique experience and a great way to try something a little different. What really made the visit stand out, though, were the owners. They were fantastic, personable, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They asked about our preferences and gave great wine recommendations based on what we each liked, which made the whole experience feel personal rather than transactional. Every Saturday, between 1-3pm, you can experience a free wine tasting. Christopher usually serves up the wine, but on certain Saturdays, a wine distributor stops in to introduce you to their selections. This past Saturday, Melissa provided the tasting experience consisting of 5 wines (2 white and 3 reds). You can attempt to guess what region the wine came from (Old World vs. New World, then country or state), the type of wine (Chardonnay, Cabernet, etc.) and the flavor and characteristics of the wine sampled (earthy; forest floor; fruit-forward; sweetness; dryness; etc.) Or, you can have Melissa (or the server on that Saturday) help you assess the wine based on your tasting experience. Melissa had an outstanding knowledge of the 5 wines served and I learned a lot about wine, while having a fun and highly enjoyable afternoon. I highly recommend trying "Saturday Sips" at Formaggio & Friends (and bring a friend or two with you for a fun and enlightening exposure to great wines)!

THIS PLACE IS NOT CLOSED. IT JUST MOVED UPSTAIRS…read more I hope you're ready to read a dissertation, cuz I have a lot to write. lol. This past weekend we got to enjoy a really delicious and fun evening at the East End Market for our friend's birthday. La Femme du Fromage Upstairs is a private dining experience on the second floor of the popular East End Market, just above Domu. Dining here is by reservation only, so make sure to plan ahead. We had a group of 12 people, which was the max capacity this place can hold. This is a personalized dinner and wine pairing curated by the owner of La Femme, Tonda. She and her team took great care of feeding and entertaining us for a little over the 3 hours that we were there. The food was excellently prepared by Chef Dale and our table service was handled by Rob, who made sure our wines and drinks were always filled throughout the evening. Tonda is an expert in wines and cheeses, with over 30 years in the industry, traveling the world to learn the intricacies of both. Every course she brought out, she explained the history of the wine that was paired with it. Every cheese we tried, she explained what animal it was from and how it's prepared. She's such a burst of energy as well. You can really tell she loves what she does. Our first course (which I sadly forgot to take a picture of because I immediately inhaled it all) was a Brie fondue that was infused with champagne, shallots, garlic, and was topped with crab meat. Served with sides of roasted cauliflower, roasted carrots, apple slices, and a tasty crusty bread. (I cant for the life of me, remember what type it was) This dish was paired with a glass of Simonet Blanc de Blancs, a sparkling white wine. Every time I emptied my glass, Rob was nearby to immediately refill it. It was awesome! Our second course was a charcuterie plate of 3 cheeses, fresh blueberries and grapes, and wagyu beef salami. The first cheese presented was a soft spreadable sheep's cheese that was infused with truffle. It was earthy and nutty, and I was blown away by how velvety it was. The second cheese (and my personal favorite) was a coffee infused cow's cheese. I loved it so much that I also purchased a small block of it from Tonda at the end of the evening! The third cheese, if I remember correctly, was a hard goat cheese that was nutty and had a really cool texture when eating. The wagyu beef salami was amazing and paired really well with every cheese. All this was paired with a glass of Mommessin Beaujolais Villages, a fruity red wine. And of course, Rob was always ready to swing by and refill my glass when needed! The third course was a beef tenderloin, served with a side of asparagus and aligot, all topped with a delicious gravy. The beef was super tender, the asparagus still had a nice bite to it, and this was also my first time trying aligot. If you don't know what it is, it's a VERY cheesy mashed potato, and it's AWESOME! lol. This dish was paired with a glass of El Enemigo Malbec, a darker red wine from Mendoza. And yet again, my boy Rob was on deck to keep it coming! (I'm gonna shout out every chance I get) Finally for dessert, we had little vanilla and lemon shortcakes, topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. The cakes were moist and buttery and the strawberries were bright and lightly tart. The dessert was paired with a glass of Vietti Moscato d'Asti, a sweet sparkling white wine. This sweet wine was PERFECT for the sweet spongey cake. It was an absolutely delicious pairing. (And you already know Rob was getting the refill in) For anyone crazy enough to actually read all this. I hope you have the chance to go out and enjoy this place sometime. Tonda has a really special little spot here, and it deserves all the praise it gets. Chef Dale is a master of his craft, the food was amazing. And Rob is a damn good server who made sure we were always well taken care of. We will definitely be back soon, Tonda. The portions are definitely generous, especially for a small, so I do think the value is there if you enjoy their style of mac. The mac itself was very cheesy, and I liked the crispy breadcrumb topping, but overall it just wasn't for me. The noodles were very thick and not hollow, so they didn't really have that classic mac & cheese texture I was expecting. I think offering a few different noodle options would be a great improvement so customers can pick what they prefer. The chicken was also pretty bland and could use more seasoning. Service-wise, the guy who helped me was nice and friendly. Since it's located in a food hall, the ambience is casual and shared rather than a traditional sit-down restaurant, which makes it convenient if you're with a group. Overall, I appreciate the generous portions and cheesy sauce, but the noodle texture and bland chicken made it something I probably wouldn't order again.
