I don't have any pictures of our meal because we scarfed our food down so fast. Do you ever get down to the last bite of something and then feel sad that it's almost over? That's what happened today. We decided to try Daniel's on a whim. I had seen so many positive reviews on the Facebook page "Winter Garden Rants, Raves, and Reviews" and needed to see what all the raving was about. Even though they have online ordering through a very user-friendly webpage, I called to place the order. The man who answered the phone couldn't have been nicer or more patient. We went in to pick up our order and this is a very clean, unique restaurant. It's a bit convenience store as well as a restaurant and the place is spotless. Even the restroom! We were pleasantly greeted by the nice person who took our order and he's even nicer in person! Our sandwiches (steak, cheese, pepper, and onions for my husband and chicken, cheese, and mayo for me) were ridiculously good. The small, for $10.99, was huge and just right for a meal. Our customizations were correct and the cheesesteaks were hot and fresh and ready exactly when promised. We can honestly say that this was the best cheesesteak either one of us has ever eaten in our whole lives. We are old, so that time period covers a lot of life! The sandwiches were really good! Everything tasted fresh. The French fries were crinkle cut and seemed to have some sort of extra batter on them that made them extra yummy. The restaurant itself is a bit low key. You wouldn't know it's a restaurant without the big sign out front, I'll say that. Those are some of the best spots usually so I had to give it go. Daniels Cheesesteak refuses service! Extremely disappointed by Daniel's Cheesesteak. We attempted to eat there for lunch today and we were refused service because I had my service dog yondu with me. He is my hearing dog that I've had for the last 6 years as I am hearing impaired. Yondu is a legitimate service dog given to me by Canine Companions. He has been bred, born, and raised to be a service dog for someone with a disability (ie: me). The owner of the business flat out refused service and said "I cannot have a dog in here." I explained that he is a legitimate service dog. To which she demanded to see paperwork. First, a business is not allowed to ask for paperwork on a service dog per the ADA. However, because I wanted to educate a business, I actually provided her documentation from Canine Companions that said he is a hearing dog and he is covered under the ADA. She still refused us service and said she would not allow a dog in the store. I even went as far as showing her my hearing implants and said what he does. At this point, I no longer wanted to eat there but again, because I don't want this to happen to others, my friend and I tried one last time to explain the law and the American disabilities act. She would not hear anything we said. I'm the deaf one and she acted like she couldn't hear. I have been to this establishment several times in the past. I am sorry to say, I won't go back. I'm not surprised by people's behavior with service dogs anymore, but I will never understand when someone refuses to follow the law serving people with disabilities. And for anyone saying that people fake them, I know this. But I provided her with all the information she asked for. He is not required to wear a vest, provide paperwork, or prove I have a disability. But even when I did provide the things she asked for, she still refused us service. For my visit, I went for the popular items, the classic cheesesteak, and 8 count of wings. You can add your own toppings to your cheesesteak which consist of onions, green peppers, mayo, lettuce, banana pepper, mustards, tomato, jalapeno pepper and ketchup. If you aren't a big eater, you could probably skip out on a side to be honest since they sandwiches are hefty. I recently tried their wings. I went with the hot ranch which was really good - the wings were SAUCY. The wings were cooked well, just be forewarned that they don't skimp on the sauce if that's not your thing. I ended up using some of that leftover sauce from the wings to dip my fries which was actually super good since their fries are a bit on the dryer side. The place is very unassuming from the outside since it's essentially a convenience store that has a kitchen inside of it.
