As a Constantino from South Brooklyn (since 1910!), walking into Brooklyn South hit me right in the nostalgia -- the smells, the sounds, the accents -- it's like a little piece of the old neighborhood tucked into St. Pete. The food? Forget about it. Every bite tastes like family Sunday -- sandwiches stacked sky-high, prosciutto that melts like butter, and mozzarella so fresh it might've been made five minutes before I walked in. This isn't "inspired by Brooklyn" -- this is Brooklyn. And the service? That's where they really shine. The staff here treat you like you've been coming in for years -- warm smiles, real conversation, and that old-school hospitality that's hard to find these days. You can feel the pride in everything they do, from the way they wrap your order to the way they say "Have a good one, hon." [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is easy, authentic, and full of heart -- the kind of place that makes you linger a little longer, just because it feels like home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Cool, quaint sandwich shop, with some incredibly thoughtful ingredient combination. You can tell some smart cheese mongers work here because they create the best almost charcuterie-like combinations but in sandwich form!! Would absolutely recommend the turkey fig, the turkey mango, the gobbler and the rosemary chicken! but honestly you can't go wrong. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A good lunch spot or place for quick eating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I stopped by today because I was in the area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is small and quaint but do not sleep on it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a few tables inside and outside and speciality sandwiches pictured[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. They have a pretty neat wine selection as well. I ordered their Reuben (to go) - they make a traditional one on rye and a more non traditional one on ciabatta. I tried the non traditional one and it was perfect. Lots of meat, spicy mustard, perfectly melted cheese. The bread was perfectly soft and chewy. Definitely stop by here, you won't be disappointed.

Food and service were great! In town for WWE Royal Rumble weekend. Looking for a quick bite before the show. Walked the strip, the deli aspect of the restaurant caught our attention. Fresh deli meats and cheeses available. Drinks, including beer and wine available in the side fridge. Indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered the Cuban (so good) and the Turkey Melt. It came melty and extremely flavorful. The pressed bread was the star of the show though. Warm and fluffy inside with the most satisfying light crunch on the outside. We devoured our sandwiches within minutes. Huge con: a large amount of bugs congregating on and around the inside bar table top. More than I was comfortable with. We opted to move to an outdoor table when the bugs repeatedly landed on my hand. I hope it was due to the humidity and is not a regular occurence. I would still give them another chance because food and service were stellar!

This is a no frills, all about the quality of the sandwich kind of place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small spot with not a lot of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's dusty trinkets on the counter top that creates it's own type of charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There aren't too many options, but our cashier recommended the top two most ordered items, the cubano and the Italian. Very hefty meals. It's great for a quick stop, but idk if it's someplace I'd have to go a 2nd time. Try everything once!

This is the best deli in downtown St. Pete! I recommend the Italian Stallion with a side of pasta salad.

A few fingers in the photo - just for some additional context on size (these sandwiches are a small step above snack size). But more concerning is the filling between the bread: there's barely any. Honestly I don't know if I should be mad or thankful about the lack of meat. Why? Well the ciabatta roll was 10x better than the sandwich itself, despite the sandwich costing ~$13. The beef was bleh (tasted like leftovers). Hard pass. Not only is this place objectively poor value but compared to all that St Pete has to offer it's just plain bad. Maybe there are better menu options, and I'm willing to revisit to give another chance...but I'm going to need a breather from this place until such time I'm willing to venture in again. ALTERNATIVE: Bodega - heads & toes above this place and way large portions plus higher quality ingredients.

This was by far the best sandwich I've ever had. The Italian is incredible and the ownership clearly cares. 10/10 stars all day.

Is your sandwich just like New York Deli?

New York deli? Whereabouts is that located? It sounds familiar.

Do they have to go charcuterie boards complete with jams and crackers in a box for pick up? If not, what is the most comparable to this?

    Yes. For pre-order

Can we talk about the cheese room? it's one of the largest in Florida and also my favorite place…read moreever! They have over 300 artisanal, imported and domestic cheeses, I find something new every time I go! The ambiance is what makes it special to locals, it feels like stepping into a traditional Italian market and it's hard to find elsewhere in Tampa. Definitely a staple for St. Pete! The market is almost always busy, so go right when they open or later in the afternoon on weekdays or you'll be standing shoulder to shoulder and wait 15 to 30 minutes, but honestly that time is perfect for browsing everything! My go to orders are the Mortadella Pistachio and the Fig & Pig. They are $12 each, and yes a bit pricey but the freshness and quality make it worth it.

Wow! What a fun place to check out. There's ample parking. A lot of photo ops outside, some picnic…read moretables. So much bustle. So many people. You walk in and Theres a check out area. A fresh produce, meat, fish, sausage, pickled olives, section. You walk further down and Theres the grab and go food section. Then to the left you have wine and cheese. You go further in, and Theres a fancy cheese section. Unfortunately they don't give small amounts of cheeses and cut it for you. But you can buy some really good cheeses here. Then you go back to the very narrow hallway, and Theres a ton of coffee on the left. I just got into coffee and am a coffee snob. I noticed there was a "greasy" looking bean. Which just means it's well past its freshness. The price of bean actually isnt that bad. And they offer a lot of varieties. We bought two, Guatemala and organic Mexico. I wanted to try it out before writing this review. The Guatemala one was light, faint. The Mexico was a bit deeper flavor. I would recommend to management to better advertise the coffee bean so the product moves and stays fresh, or maybe move it to a different section where people can feel comfortable getting it. It gets so crowded in the hallway. I would leave the hallway was a grab and go area. You keep walking down and you have the coffee shop to the right, and a small bread stand to the left. Of course we got coffee. Theres a small area of seating to get coffee for there. Theres a big roaster to give the appearance that they roast their own coffee but I believe it's just for decoration. Fiancé got a cappuccino. It was okay. He normally doesn't get coffee with too much milk but the waitress said there was 3 shots of espresso in there. I would say it didn't taste like 3 shots. It taste like coffee with 90% milk. And it should be told to customers that a cappuccino there is more milk with coffee. I got the con panno. Which is espresso with whipped cream. I'm not sure if the whip cream they use is fresh, or if it's super sweetened, but my coffee was sweet. It was thick which I like but I didn't like whatever sweetener they used. But I'd probably order a macchiato if I ever came back so I could taste the coffee. On the other side of the coffee shop is the sandwiches and prepared food that you order. Sandwiches are HUGE. Fiancé had the #1 with all the fixings. It was nice but if you don't like soggy sandwiches, you can ask for no veggies. Which we would do next time. I had the 7, no sun-dried tomatoes and no veggies. It was so good. The mozzerella was very fresh! If you walk past that you have the dried cured meat, and down a hallway to the right you'll find dried pasta and fresh pasta. The fresh pasta looked so good. I wished we lived in the area so I could try. You head back the other way and pass the outdoor seating and Theres also a place for you to check out you grocery/sandwiches. Right next to that section you have the pantry area of canned fish, pickled things, olive oil. Then Theres the bread and pastry area. We only had time to see these and no time to see what other stores they had or walk around. But I'd definitely come back to check those out.
