Dr. Drew decided that my son would need to undergo the procedure under general anesthesia, and an anesthesiologist would be brought in. We returned for a second appointment, during which they were able to perform the exam. We do need to follow up with an oral surgeon, which I expected, as I heard the same information from his previous dentist. Additionally, my cousin is a pediatric dentist and knows Dr. Drew, as she works in Highland Park. I am planning to switch my general dentist to Dr. Drew.

Except they're booked through July currently. So here we go again. Expensive but good place for cosmetics. Horrible place for regular care. That's why I highly recommend New Age Dental. From Dr. Koko to everyone else, I've received the best care imaginable. To illustrate their kindness and flexibility, yesterday, while I was comfortably waiting in the waiting room, an elderly woman in a wheelchair was brought in by someone I assume was her son. According to the front desk, she had called twice earlier that day to cancel her appointment. It turns out she had some dementia, which is so unfortunate. New Age Dental had filled her spot, which she had canceled twice, with another patient. Even so, they still scheduled her for care that day. I'm sure this meant someone had to stay later than planned, but that's a small price to pay for such excellent service. My hygienist, Tori, is the one I almost always see to work on my mouth (we didn't have fluoridated water where I grew up; my parents and the town thought fluoride was a communist plot, which, combined with having soft teeth, means I have a lot of metal in my mouth, not to mention plenty of crowns). Tori is such a wonderful, personable, and skilled technician that I no longer need to take Diazepam before going to the dentist. She always considers any of my concerns, and with a mouth like mine, there's always something! I should also mention that the entire office is equipped with the latest dental technology, whether it's for x-rays, teeth cleaning, or anything else. The office is clean and well-maintained. Dr. Koko, whether he's checking on my mouth or replacing a worn-out crown, is always friendly and inquisitive, and more importantly, a skilled dentist. I've never been in pain, so I don't need to take Diazepam anymore. I heartily recommend New Age Dental in Morton Grove to anyone looking for a dentist.

(Boy, was that fast: as soon as their insurance error was reported!) But, no, the provider doesn't have to confirm that it banned my family. I do based on two separate phone calls, spaced weeks apart, where the front desk said that, ugh, the entire fam was dissed. And for what felt like an eternity -- the same feeling I got over the amount of time I was pitched during my first meet here -- it was uncertain whether this practice's implants were properly placed, since the provider refused to evaluate their own work. Nor will it ever be known whether billing practices improved due to its refusal to take on an olive branch offer of a minor procedure. Friendly this office was and is not in trying to get either of the above to occur. So, similar to "Jay B's" utterly genuine July 4 Yelp review (okay, right, "interesting" in a Tilly-Norwood-is-too sort of way), for ages, this practice made me feel like I had to live for years with pain and fear, never believing I could eat Barnaby's excellent tavern style pizza again...without making a huge mess. (Gotta love its cornicione!) Or eating one of EATACO's massive corn shell tacos. Those are impossible to bite into without good implants. But Greektown's Ithaki Estiatorio, where forks and knives are needed and the saganaki of which is unlike the competition's, may still be had.
