I have been coming to Morton Ranch Smiles since they opened. I've always been big on dental hygiene and started encouraging my husband & other family members to go as well. I referred several neighbors as well, as we live so close by. Dr. Jaswal & Dr. Randhawa are so welcoming, knowledgeable, and friendly. However, they saying is true...."one bad apple can spoil a bunch". I finally decided to get get braces for a minor imperfection & encountered Dr. Yang. Worst decision. Dr.Yang is arrogant and rude. Not just to his staff, but to the patients. He always seems to be in a rush and doesn't listen. My issue only took 6-8 weeks to fix. I voiced how I wasn't sure about one tooth and he immediately got annoyed (not the first time) and told me he did his job & I could go to the front desk and work our numbers with them and pay again. Normally I'm pretty vocal, but was shocked and had no words. I had to come back later in the day for my retainer and the hygienist knew he was out of line and asked Dr. Randhwa to see me. I did not request this. Though, she was able to explain what he couldn't and offered additional services, it didn't erase the experience and feeling. One hygienist said maybe he was "hangry" & another said he is always that way. When he speaks to them it's uncomfortable. He speaks at them and gives command as though he is talking to a servant. It's been about 4-5 months since my visit and I am still disgusted. Once I asked him if he was going to the local Asia town for lunch as it just opened and I've been there frequently as it has a lot of attraction...he sarcastically responded..."yeah because I'm asian and I practice out here just for the Asia town". I think he thought I was being judgements and I said...actually I'm half asian too and I just love it and it's new and nearby. It was just awkward, weird, and uncalled for. He works a lot with children as well....glad I curved that with my own. Since smh experience my husband & other family members have moved on to a new Dental Practice.

The first time I called a lady answered and stated they didn't take my mother dental insurance. I hung up but something said call back. Veronica answered, took my mothers information and stated she would call back. She did. I was able to connect Veronica, my mother and I on a conference call while we set up her next appointment which we were offered two options all within 48 hours. Veronica was very patient, kind and professional. My mother was able to see Dr.Ruiz within a couple of days and she was pleased with the care. She also appreciated Veronica coming to introduce herself during her appointment. My mother has a follow up next week and plans to continue care with Dr.Ruiz.

Dr. Mike the Dentist was wonderful. He went over everything that would be done. I felt so at ease even though I was getting a tooth pulled. I couldn't be any more happy with the treatment. Found my new dental home Thank you everyone so much! Kathie Wesley

I had recently joined a Medicare advantage plan with dental coverage, so I decided to get my teeth cleaned and checked, since it had been a while since my last checkup. I did not have any pain or issues with my teeth. I flossed once per day and brushed twice per day using an electric toothbrush. The office personnel were professional and friendly. I liked Dr George when I met her. My teeth were x-rayed. I informed them that I only wanted x-rays covered by insurance. They used a machine that did a 3D image of my teeth, which ended up not being covered. They wrote it off and did not charge me. My teeth were examined and charted by Dr George. It was a thorough exam. After the exam was completed, she went over her recommendations. It was a long list of two crowns needed, ten fillings, and periodontal gum therapy. It was overwhelming and hard to believe. Dr. George suggested we start with the most needed filling, and said she could start on the crowns that day. I agreed. Now in hindsight, I regret doing the crowns right away. Those teeth were not giving me any problems or discomfort. It is almost one year later, and those two crowns now give me hot/cold sensitivity that I did not have before. Next, Doctor George told me I needed perio-scaling, root planning, gingival irrigation, and localized antimicrobials on my upper left/right, and lower left/right gums. They did not clean my teeth during that first appointment. I was told they do not clean teeth when gum therapy is recommended. Apparently, it is okay to start crowns and do a filling though, just not clean teeth. For someone who regularly flosses and brushes, needing periodontal work, did not make sense to me. I decided to get a second opinion about the need for periodontal gum therapy from a recently retired board-certified periodontist. After reviewing the available information, he could not see any indications that periodontal work such as scaling, irrigation, and antimicrobials were necessary. I decided to go to another dentist this year, since I lost confidence in Dr George. Without describing my previous experience, I asked if he saw any need for periodontal gum therapy, he indicated he saw no need for it and that my gums were what he would expect from a person my age. This confirmed the opinion of the retired periodontist. When a dentist recommends a treatment that I discover later was not necessary, then it naturally raises a question in my mind that possibly the crowns were not necessary either. Maybe it is the insurance money (greed) that drove some of these questionable recommendations. If Dr George truly believed I needed all this work on my teeth and gums, then maybe that speaks to her competence. Seeking a second opinion, tough inconvenient, can be necessary.

Sheri was the angel I needed early Monday morning. She answered, and she was still at home because…read morethe office wasn't open yet. But she took my call and had me laughing in no time, which really helped because I was in so much pain. A little backstory, my braces were removed in 2021. A year later, my permanent retainer was moving my teeth. My orthodontist took full blame and put braces on the bottom of my teeth to correct them. The process was finished in April. Well, the left side of my head and face became very painful. The orthodontist said the retainer mold was wrong and replaced that... Fast forward, I moved to Texas, and now I'm at the doctor's because my face is swollen, and on to the Berkeley Eye Center. I'll spare you the rest. So now, I have the kindest woman named Sherri on the phone, who I consider a friend now. She told me to come on in, she'll send the paperwork through email, and she'll see me at two. She didn't stop there; once I got there and finished the exam, I thought I had to come back for them to put the proper braces on. Nope, Sherri said we can do the braces today, and they did! No more pain for me. Thank you, thank you so much, Sherri!
