The dental group accepts DMO insurance to get business and then inaccurately represented a treatment not covered by the DMO insurance to boost their billing. The client, who has no dental training, ultimately has to decide whether to accept the treatment. After speaking to the DMO insurance company about the treatment I was informed by the DMO that I was misled about the purpose of the treatment. I tried to negotiate with the staff and office manager to get the cost of the treatment back. The office manager took my call and told me that I approved the charge at time of service. This is true. I did approve a misrepresented treatment and its charge. I was also told she would talk to the owner dentist about my claim. This never happened. Then, by email, I asked to talk to the owner dentist and I even offered to pay part of the charge as a compromise. The office manager never responded to me on two separate email attempts. I consider these business practices unscrupulous and poor customer service overall. Ghosting customers may be the social trend, but it's very poor customer service! Fulshear Modern Dentistry seems to overlooking all the choices their customers have for dental care in the area. The situation/charge above was in dispute with my credit card company initiated by me. This dispute was unanswered by the office manager. However, my bill is paid in full even though I was unable to work something out with the office manager due to her lack of response. read more

Worst experience EVER. Had my teeth cleaned of which they said they could only do one side at a time so I had to come back another time for the other side! Also told me I needed a deep cleaning in the back on 2 teeth. It's been 2 weeks and I still cannot chew on that side and it's super sensitive to cold. The other day I went back for a filling. The dentist drilled my tooth for literally an hour and a half (I chose no Novocain)! While performing the filling she was very rough and said well you wouldn't feel it if you had the Novocaine. It was as if she trying to break me down and submit to the novocaine. It was beyond ridiculous! I have never had a dentist treat me that way. The side of mouth has an open sore and oozing where her equipment and hands pulled on the side of mouth. I also have sores on my lips from having the metal equipment against my lips for so long. I finally had to tell her stop and that I was done! She walked me the front and did not say a word! Very inexperienced & unprofessional. If u want to go to the most amazing dentist in Fulshear go to Dr. Lathrop. My insurance changed so I can no longer go there after 8years read more

If I could give a ZERO Star, I would!!! My wife had a procedure done here and I had some out of pocket expense to be paid. This location sent me an invoice and I took it to my insurance company to review. Since the Insurance Company Reviews takes time, the office manager (YB) of this facility who also handles billing, sent this to the collection agency to ruin my credit. I immediately called her and explained that this claim is under review and sent her the Insurance Company Claim number as well. Again the insurance company was taking their sweet time for review as they have to arrange non-biased people to review these claims. But Ms. YB being very efficient did not wait, and sent it again the second time to the collection agency. She is very quick in sending invoices to the Collection Agency to ruin patients credit history, because she can do it. I told her on the call as well that just because she has the power of doing it, don't misuse or abuse it. read more

Victoria Santibanez is the best dentist; Dr. Santibanez is our family dentist and we all adore her. Her special skill is understanding along with soothing treatment. I, myself have a frightening fear of dentist but she always manages to get me in for all my appointments and out without tears and/or a panic attack. Her approach is amazing! Prior to my initial appointment, she called me (personally) to discuss my fear of dentist; which meant she had read my intake paper work. We discussed the issue in depth and decided on a plan of action; in order to make my initial appointment as pleasant as possible. This impressed me! And she has been wowing me ever since. My spouse and daughter both agree that Dr. Santibanez is one incredible Dentist! Let's not forget about the amazing staff! I had an appointment for a root canal in May, but for whatever reason the endodontist was not able to finish it the same day so I had to come back. I made a 3:00 appointment for the second visit. A week before I get a call from them that they need to move my appointment to 2:30. I do work, but I move my meetings to accommodate them changing my time. Day of the appointment, they call me 2 hours before my appointment that they had a cancellation and I could go at 1:45 instead. However, I have a work meeting so I can't change my appointment to earlier so I said I'd like to keep the time they gave me last week. However, and this is what frustrates me, I can't keep my original 2:30 appointment, I either have to take the appointment someone else cancelled or reschedule!! So I waited 3 weeks to get the appointment, they change it not once, but a second time and because I can't rearrange my schedule last minute they cancel me altogether! That is not very good customer service at all in my opinion. Very frustrating! read more

I thought I had found my dentist, but ended up having a horrible experience! I will definitely be looking elsewhere. I had an appointment, so my husband managed to leave work early so that we could pass the kids off and I could make it on time. As soon as I told the receptionist my name, she told me to take a seat. I sat waiting to check in for about 10-15 minutes while they checked in people who came in after me and those leaving and paying. I started to wonder if they forgot about me. Eventually, another receptionist came out and said that I had not verified my appointment so they had given it to someone else. I received a call two days ago that said exactly "we are calling to confirm your appointment on this date at this time." Then, I received a text message two hours prior to the appointment with the details again. There was no option to confirm. I showed the receptionist the text and she said she has no control over the server that sends the texts? Anyways, it put a bad taste in my mouth. I hustled to make it there on time tonight only to have them not have availability after confirming it multiple times? I had brought my daughter here for a Perio treatment that she needed. She had went elsewhere but walked out of the chair in tears due to her diagnosis. She was very embarrassed of her teeth and would not smile. I thought she would need extensive treatments, crowns, fillings etc. Well, I wasn't there when she started her visit as she is 18. I showed up halfway through. I gotta tell you what I saw come off her teeth was a little scary. However, Leslie the Hygienist was so patient with her and pulled me aside and asked if I minded if she spent a little longer on her so she could be as thorough as possible. FRAUDDDDDD!!!!! I went in 5/2021 and I gave them my insurance AND my social security number for verification. I was a first time patient of theirs and had been searching for a new dentist. I was told I had progressive gum disease and that I needed to pay for a more extensive cleaning plus my deductible. I have never paid a deductible on my cleanings, but assumed my plan changed. I spent $150 on a cleaning. And it did not feel extensive at all. Same basic scraping, cleaning and polish. The doctor spent less than 5 minutes on her consultation with me and was very short on her answers. The X-rays alone took an hour, waiting on the doctor took 20 minutes, 5 minute consultation, and a 40 minute cleaning. I was annoyed at how long it took. I was the first appointment but since the X-rays took way longer than needed, that bumped 2 people ahead of me. I needed to schedule an appointment for additional services. I ended up requesting to reschedule for a Saturday and the receptionist told me "we only book major repairs on Saturday" I was about to spend $400 with them. So I cancelled. I've searched for a new dentist and it hasn't gone well so I decided to give them a second chance since they have my X-rays already. It is less than a year later, there is absolutely NO record of me ever being there, my account could not be found with DOB, name, phone #. I already was hesitant to go back so I backed out. I found a new location. I was told I do not have gum disease and got a thorough explanation. I was quoted on the same repair for half the price. I was NOT charged a deductible. I am searching my insurance records and there is no record of me attending this place in may 2021. They took my money and didn't even have the audacity to keep my information on file. read more

The bridge and work they did was good but I asked them to make certain my insurance would pay their share, they didn't and I was stuck with the whole bill. When they contacted me about payment I was out of work and that I would pay them in January when I had some money which she said that would be fine. Best dental office I've ever been to! As someone who struggles with extreme anxiety, especially with dental care, this shop has always made me feel comfortable, and cared for. I have never had anxiety in their office. As soon as you step in the doors, Doug at the front desk is so nice and welcoming that you immediately feel right at home. My dentist is Dr. Santibanez and she has always explained everything to me and made me feel so confident and comfortable with the treatment I received. I have also been seen by their surgeon and multiple dental assistants who have all been absolutely wonderful. The whole team at Fulshear Modern Dentistry make your experience perfect from beginning to end. The fact that you can see so many great highly trained professionals all under one roof is so amazing.
