Ordered Sunday afternoon. Large pizza, NY thin....with onions,green peppers and black olives.Also ordered Greek salad. The girl said 30 minutes. I was there in 25. Home in 5 minutes. Pretty small older place next to a laundry mat. When you walk in you order right at the door; you can walk back and look through an open window and see them making everything fresh! I was honestly skeptical about the place but I am SO so glad I gave this place a shot! The pizza was great, but the dough is the winner here. They make the dough fresh every day and you can tell. I have to say the garlic knots are the most amazing ones I've had hands down!! They are so soft and pillowing on the inside. The marinara sauce is great also. Honestly 5 stars for this place! WOW! I've finally found great pizza in the area. There are lots to choose from and I keep trying different places. I thought what the hell, give Mortys a try. Glad I did. Lots of great reviews, a few as usual someone is unhappy. I ordered sausage and black olives. Wanted it crispy but not burned. A little extra sauce. I didn't order "extra" on the topping because I wanted to see what they would put on it. It was more than enough. Give them a try. I got a pepperoni pizza for a get together a few days ago, the guests claim it's their favorite pizza place. Personally I have visited nearly every pizza place in the area, Morty's pizza places around 4th. The pizza had a pleasant taste, but was fairly soft and greasy. Normally I like thin crispy pizza, this was not that. I will say the most unique thing they did was treat the crust as if it were a garlic knot (garlic, parm, and butter) that was a fairly surprising move as not many do things to the crust. I appreciated that greatly. Bottom line if you want something wet and tasty this is it, if you want crispy pizza then look elsewhere. read more

Pizza is passable, but good for being outside of NY. They have a little bit of the required crisp texture on the outside of the crust, just not soft enough on the inside. The sauce is nice and has the tomato flavor that most pizza sauce lacks now days. The toppings are what I would expect from any pizza place, I had mushrooms and pepperoni. The part that I just couldn't get over is that most pizza places in the NPR area don't make white pizza correctly. White pizza is Crust, fresh garlic, olive oil, mozzarella and toppings. For some reason most make it by smothering the crust with ricotta and leaving out the garlic and olive oil. White pizza refers to the sauce, (garlic and olive oil) not a coating of ricotta. I actually would have given three stars if the employees acted like they cared about my needs. They wouldn't even make me a pie with garlic and olive oil in place of the red sauce. My wife is allergic to onion and onion powder, which is in the red sauce. They let us walk out instead of trying to satisfy our needs. What happened to trying to please the customer? Awesome Pizza. Best I've had in a very long time. There large pizza is LARGE Most of pizza places today serve a 16" which is really a medium. There's is 18" and loaded with the very best meats. This place is a bit hit or miss for me. On the plus side, they never skimp on the toppings. Order a meat lovers pizza and you'll be amazed that there isn't a chicken breast and a steak on there. On the minus side, the pizza that I order always seems slightly undercooked; the crust two minutes above dough. As a New Yorker, I know my pizza. Any place that I have to fold my slice is already on my watch list, but the crust needs to be solid enough to hold that folded, cheesy, greasy goodness up. It's not terrible, but it's not great. Good pricing - a little more than $20 for an 18 inch 3 topping. It just feels like they're scared to cook the pizza longer. I still like it enough to order from here every once in a while. read more

We tried the Garlic Knots for the first time and were pleasantly surprised at how large the order is! Garlic Knots and a small pizza to share is all we need! and still have left overs. Screw this place. I have been a loyal customer for over a decade, always tipping about $20 a delivery. The food has gotten worse over the years (clearly using cheaper ingredients), while prices went up, but I kept ordering because it's important to support local businesses. Tonight (6/4/21) was the last straw. We placed a large order and were told it would be an hour+. Totally fine!!! After 90 minutes, my friend called to check on order and was told it was next on the delivery list and they would throw in a free 2 liter of soda. Awesome!! Never arrived. I called AGAIN and was lied to that they called me and left a message to confirm the order (did not happen) and I mentioned my friend calling to confirm and then girl on the phone realized she was caught. So whomever answered (same girl each time we called) admitted to lying and offered to get us our food ASAP. I kindly informed her I was not interested in most likely what would be tainted food. Hope they enjoyed the tips while they got them! Will NEVER order from here again and will encourage everyone I know who frequents this dump to do the same. Came by tonight and bought one for him and and Philly cheese steak. Which was great he ended up eating mine and said his food was burnt sad he wasn't a happy camper. Love their pizza. Order there at least once a week. However, I was really disappointed in their attitude when they messed up our order. Although they did re-make one of the items they made wrong they argued about the item before-hand. I called in to complain about their attitude as well as the item that wasn't fixed and they still decided to argue about the order placed. The woman said she had taken the order but it was a man that actually taken the order. So besides the unprofessional courtesy, they also lied to cover up the mistake they had made.
