Just want to vent some frustration here. I was at Infusion next door, and walked over to order some buffalo BBQ. I payed $20 including tip as they said they ld bring to food over to me. They never did. I was told to stop by in 10 min if they didn't show. So after 20 I walked over. Not only had my order been just sitting around (nobody knew how long), but there were about 10 measly pieces in the carton. 10. That's it. $2 per minuscule floret of cauliflower. So I'm feeling pretty ripped off. This place is expensive and cheap. The food was just "ok" and the price was stupid expensive for what I got. Sadly this is one of the better pizza places for the hood, but that doesn't say much. It's like. 5/10. An itch you scratch, not quality food you crave. read more

The pizza was perfectly crisp, fresh, and tasty. The bruschetta also had very fresh ingredients. The balsamic glaze was excellent and full of flavor. The side of Truffle oil we got was amazing and reminded us of one we had in Italy. I highly recommend trying the truffle oil whether it's on the pizza or on the side. read more

We've had their pizza before, and it's always really good...but this time we got to try their wings during an NPR wing competition. They were prepared (unlike a couple other places involved in the contest) and had wings ready to go. Had a nice dry rub that was complemented by a house sauce on the side. Backdraughts was one of five bars/restaurants that were competing, and their wings were so good they were not only our favorite...but everyone else's as well. I don't even think it was close as many other people we talked to said theirs were the best. They weren't wrong. Come here for excellent pizza, but def add the wings as well!! read more

Mediocre. The pizza left a lot to be desired. Ordered a margarita which had red sauce, tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella. There's plenty of red sauce, but no flavor and the toppings didn't really add anything to the pizza. We also added mushrooms, which also didn't add anything to the pizza. All I could taste was red sauce. Make sure you specify whether you want the personal or the large. This is the only two options they give you two prices and the smaller price is a personal and the larger price is not that much bigger. The bar? Definitely gets a fail. They advertised a spiced pear Margarita. It was not a spiced pear. It was a spicy pear, which is a completely different drink. A spiced pear would imply, nutmeg, cinnamon, anise, and such. However, it was definitely spicy, as in habanero. So please don't make the same mistake we did. Wasn't with a special drink there was also a drink. That was some kind of espresso chime martini. That may not be the name of it so don't quote me on that. But, you couldn't taste chai. All you tasted was coffee. There was also supposed to be hazelnut in there, which you also couldn't taste. Whoever writes the menu for these particular cocktails, doesn't understand that the most dominant flavor is listed first, and then the accentuating flavors are listed in the order in which they are expected to taste. The martini we tried had no chai and no hazelnut. It was all espresso. Once again, very disappointing. The service was OK but not stellar. Although I got the impression that there was only one waitress serving all the tables inside and outside, so I'm not sure I can actually blame her. Ordered the classic pizza for take-out and it was burnt, so I refused it and ordered another one. This time it looked much better, but looks are deceiving. The second pizza was dry and had no flavor. Back Draughts has some of my favorite Buffalo cauliflower and wood fired pizza around. The Buffalo sauce on the cauliflower is not too spicy and I like the blue cheese crumbles served on it. We usually order a 10" pizza with pepperoni because the specialty pizzas do not have a combination of toppings that we enjoy. The flavor of the dough and sauce is some of my favorite. The sauce is not too acidic, a little sweet. And the dough is always soft. I would recommend adding a specialty pizza that would allow you to pick some toppings. By the time we order a 10" and add 3-5 toppings it becomes too expensive. I think that the Buffalo cauliflower should also come with a side of blue cheese dressing. We like the option of sitting outside and our service has always been great. read more

We've had Back Draughts Pizza at least four times now at both locations. It's fine. It's good. Beyond that, my issue is that it's extraordinarily expensive for pizza that's not significantly better than any other pizza available anywhere. The toppings aren't THAT amazing, and they're entirely too expensive for what you get. I just paid almost $20 for a SMALL Hibiscus pizza. EVOO, garlic, SHREDDED mozzarella, tomatoes, balsamic glaze, and spinach. It's good at the restaurant, but in my opinion, it doesn't travel well. I do love that it's wood-fired pizza, but I just don't think it's worth the hype. read more

Went to the Tarpon Springs location. Ordered the waffle fries for an appetizer, the large chicken Alfredo pizza and a soda. The waffle fries were good but at 8 bucks for a small serving, not worth it! The pizza was good as well! The crust and toppings were very good but the Alfredo sauce had nearly no taste to it. And for a 12 inch pizza, it was 23 bucks! I could have gone to Little Caesars and got 3 pizzas for that price! The service was good as they checked on us regularly! The atmosphere was nice as well! My husband and I come here often. They have an awesome and different assortment of pizzas. Our favorite is the meatball ricotta. The chicken wings are also great as they have a light crisp without the breading. You can get with sauce or dry rub. It is also very nice as there is seating inside and outside. The only issue lately that I have noticed is that with the personal pizza the crust is coming out slightly over cooked. This is the only reason for the 4 stars. They have some interesting toppings and combinations, but the crust was too doughy, indicating that they don't have a hot enough oven for the crust to be crisp and slightly burnt in spotted areas which to me is the hallmark of a good crust. Heard a lot about the place and being new to the area I figured what the heck. Great location. Nice outdoor seating area as well. So I ordered the fried pickles which were ok, but undercooked to my liking. Needed another two minutes in the fryer. Now, for my pizza, I went with the personal size which was equivalent to two slices. Good size. Ordered meatball, pepperoni, basil and bacon. Meatballs were literally like shredded meatball crumbles. Pepperoni was commercial food service grade, not cupped, but thin and greasy. Bacon was more like bacon bits. I asked for a little hot honey drizzle as well. Not impressed with the pizza. Maker over did it with the honey. Pizza was sort of tasteless. Over-cheesed for my liking as well. Server was truly awesome! I would go back and try it without the honey. read more

Service depends on when someone waits on you. The lady with straight hair was great. The one with side-braids is useless and ignores people waiting to order while she chats for 10 minutes with customers who are finished. The straight-haired one was busy when we sat at the counter. Side-braids ignored us the first 3 times I asked in ever louder volume "can we order"? My 4th time was nearly a shout to get her to reply. Then all we got was "yes" before she walked to the kitchen and stared, doing nothing. She should be fired for laziness and making the nice waitress do everything. read more

My wife and I have been going here for several years and was our goto place for wings and pizza. Their wings are really good and the hibiscus pizza is great. With that said, their prices are out of control. 6 wings are now $13! Over $2 a wing. We ordered one large pizza, 6 wings each and two beers and our bill was $70. Been here a few times, mostly good experiences and good pizza . This last time the margarita pizza was not good. Barely any cheese and sparse tomatoes, mostly sauce. It is brick oven pizza, but the bottom was burned and that all we good taste. I'm not saying it's terrible and you should not go there, just hoping it was a one-off. They have a beautiful patio that looks out toward Sims Park and its a nice place to enjoy pizza , but you might avoid the margarita. read more

I LOVE wood fired pizza; however: 1. The Margarita crust was so bland. They need to either brush with garlic oil and add some seasoning (at least salt) in the crust 2. The service was horrible. Waited 15 minutes at an outside table. Moved closer and waited another 10. I went inside to order drinks and he said someone will be out. Another 10 minutes and finally flagged someone down. We gave our order, and as she walked away, 5 people came up and talked to her. They sit next to us and there were given their drinks first, and their food. Seriously??? Ordered fried pickles and wings, then pizza after. Maybe they heard us talking about how long we waited and then rushed the pizza before we hardly starting eating the apps. Now- positive review: Awesome wings. Yummy! Large, smoky and crispy. Make sure and ask for 2 sauces on the side, one was not enough. Meatball and ricotta pizza was delicious. Nice and charred crust with a gooey top and the ricotta and meatball was perfect! Minus the bland crust, the margarita was balanced well with the tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil I'll chalk this experience up to just opening. I am all about the PIE! So when I found a true wood fired pizza shop was nearby, I was like a moth to the light and had to try it. So I called in an order, and went with my gold standard, a Margarita, classic, and simple. I asked that the bottom be brown and crispy. 20 minutes later, I arrived, large public parking area, so it was easy to park. The shop is cozy, and everyone is kind and friendly. They were extremely busy, but had by pie ready to go, and was kept warm, something I appreciate. The crust on the bottom was perfection, with a small burned area, but is to be expected occasionally. The toppings were fresh and plentiful, and nicely balanced over the the entire pie. The first bite into thin crispy crust, the hint of smokey wood aroma, and the simple cheese and basil toppings, allowed the true favors to all come together, it was true bliss. I suggest that you try your favor pizza and see what you think. For me, this is my my new goto place for a good pie, maybe it will be yours too! read more

After giving 5 stars a month ago, had the worst experience when I went back to my house, they forgot 2 appetizers, I had ordered and also gave me the wrong pizza. I had requested 1/2 supreme and 1/2 pepperoni , my pizza was also cold. And it wasn't like they were busy , they only had 1 table at the restaurant. Called back twice to get a refund or credit and every time I spoke to the manager , they said they would call me back about my refund or credit. So I absolutely love the original back draughts, and when any place opens another location you always worry will it be just as good? So for those of you that have eaten at the original; here are the pros and cons. FYI for those that have not been to either location, go! So first off pros. The pizza is just as delicious! The only white pizza I will ever eat will be the white hibiscus and it was just as exceptional as it has been every time I've had it in Tarpon. Also there are plenty of beer options as well as a cute little bar. Definitely plenty of parking, and probably one of the biggest pros after the pizza is that there is a large outdoor eating area with nice views of the lake and park across the street. Another pro is if you live in Pasco County it's definitely an easier place to get to and as I already mentioned parking for those of you that have been to the Tarpon location lol. Now for the cons. Truly nothing that is a real con so to speak however, here are the little things. You don't have the nostalgia of the inside like in Tarpon. Granted they need some time probably still to decorate, but if you're on a busy night you could be a table facing a white wall. You still can see the full pizza oven, which is very nice ... maybe just not as cool as the one in Tarpon. The only other thing was that service might be a little bit slower, But everyone was still very pleasant. All in all the place is great. Not to mention you can walk right next door for some ice cream, & if for some reason, they don't have a beer you like on draft, which would be difficult, next to the ice cream place is a brewery. We are regulars at the Tarpon Springs location. The food was delicious as it is at the Tarpon Springs location. For some reason there are no signs indicating you can seat yourself nor are there any signs indicating where the bathroom is... The bar menu was handwritten and laminated as if it was the year of our lord 1635. The bartender was very nice however she was serving about 60 people drinks by herself with apparently zero prep work and very little resources. This poor woman was washing glasses, changing out kegs, serving, cashing out, making intricate cocktails, chopping fruit. She had to do literally everything. The service from the bar because of this was very poor. There were many people visually getting irritated the 1.5 hours we were there. This location appears to be mismanaged. If I want some pizza I'll return to the Tarpon one. read more

I'm from Chicago and anytime I'm in the area, we normally do seafood for dinner most nights. But every once in awhile we like a taste of home to break up the monotony. The pizza here is the best I've had on any trip to Florida. The menu shows many newer styles of pizza with modern ingredients which are really good, but if you're not into the more modern creations, they're happy to just make a more traditional pie for you, just the same. I got a cheese and sausage pizza. The sausage was crumbled sausage which I don't normally prefer, but it was still very good and flavorful. Cheese was legit and had good salt content and the wood fired crust was very good as well. Highly recommend this place especially if you're from a part of the country that is known for good pizza, you'll be right at home here. read more

My husband and I went here and the waitress greeted us and told us we were third in line, so we sat and waited by the window where the 2 parties in front of us were sitting. They got sat, so we were next and then another couple walked in and got seated right away. So we got up and asked the waitress why we weren't seated and she acted as if she's never seen us before and told us she would get the manager when all we wanted was to get seated in order after waiting for over 20 minutes. The manager then came and said he's been standing there for 15 minutes and just saw us walk in and said we couldn't be seated. So we left since we were being refused service by such an unprofessional and rude staff. Will never try going here again or recommended it.
