I went to the Valparaiso office. First, I was told that I had a co-pay. Then the DO said she was going to dilate my eyes, and I asked if insurance was going to pay for it, and she assured me it would be covered. I then talked to a young man about glasses, and he said that if I didn't want lines, it would cost me $75. I told him I would think about it. I called insurance, and they said I don't have a co-pay. I called the place in Valparaiso, and they told me it was for medical. I asked to speak with a manager, and he told me he would reimburse me, but I asked him to credit me and that I would come in and get the glasses that the young man told me about. However, when I came in, a young lady told me that it would now cost me $144. Not only that, I learned the young man behind the counter was not a manager, but he told me he was the one I spoke to on the phone. What was told to me by the girl was that the $75 was for the line in the glasses. Why would I pay for a line in my glasses? Does that make sense? I knew at this point that this was a bad business and very deceiving. I have been with them for at least 4 years, along with taking my foster kids there, and my husband has also. However, it was a different location. This experience has caused me not to do business with them any longer, and I probably will put in a complaint about them to Better Business, if possible. read more
