I became a member of this winery pre-Covid because it's located near my parents house. It's always a treat to be able to come to this area and pick up my wine club order. I also once a quarter come in for a tasting and it's nice when friends and family gets join. They also have great Appetizers to accompany the wines. The service is always wonderful! it's got a very chic vibe and I like the outdoor seating in the summer when listening to music and playing games. read more

Loved this winery, we had a party of 17 come during Memorial Day weekend to celebrate a friend's wedding, and they were more than welcoming. We arrived 45 min early and they were able to put tables together to seat us fairly quickly, the people working there were so incredibly friendly and the wines were all incredible (get their Rose!). Cornhole and bocce ball were available to play by outdoor seating, just overall a really great time. If I lived close by I would definitely become a member! read more

We stopped here after visiting the Blackberry Festival in Bremerton. We had never heard of the winery so we did not know what to expect, when we arrived we were warmly greeted and asked if we wanted to sit inside or on the patio where there was live music, we of course went for the live music. The young lady performing was amazing, she did a mixture of originals and covers, she was engaging with the guests enjoying wine and conversation. My preference is sweet white wines and they were not tasting any that afternoon, but my sister loves the reds so she tried their tasting flight which she said was amazing. With the purchase of a bottle you receive 1/2 of your tasting fee back. I had a grapefruit pale ale which was very refreshing. Their food selection was amazing. My sister is gluten free and they were able to accommodate with an artichoke dip and gluten free crackers, I had the Caprese salad which was fresh and phenomenal. A group of a 10 of us came to Washington to celebrate a few birthdays and stayed at a beautiful Airbnb in Harstine Island. This winery was a suggested spot to go by our hosts and did not disappoint! I cannot say enough good things! Out of all 5 days we stayed, this was my favorite experience by far. Everyone was so sweet and our server, Paige was beyond patient, sweet and knowledgeable making it very helpful for those of us that weren't as familiar with wine. We stopped by Mosquito Fleet Winery on our way to Hoodsport for a girls weekend. The two ladies working there were charming, knowledgeable and extremely welcoming. We went through a tasting and they adjusted/added the lineup to add to the experience. 1 day into the girls weekend we've now realized we should have bought a few more bottles. It's a small place and does not look like much from the outside, but once your inside it's cute. The staff and selection are extremely worth the drive. read more

Very bizarre first time interaction. I didn't realize this place existed until just now as I was driving by and heard some music playing. Looked upscale and fancy. Patrons we're dressed semi-formal. I pulled into the lot 20 minutes ago and saw a bunch of people drinking and listening to this band. Eager to listen to this band, I walk up to a couple and ask if it's a private club, or open to the public. They say open to the public. They say the entrance is in the front. Simultaneously and server says I can't enter from the back, and says the entrance is in the front. I didn't see an accessable entrance in the front, and tell her I only saw the side door, and point at it. I specify the facade facing the street and do a hand gesture to it next. She confirms it's not the side door, but the one facing the street that I'm referring to. I walk back to the front, and as suspected, no accessable entrance. There's a forklift blocking a door, and a closed metal garage door. I wasn't going to walk back there a third freaking time. I don't know if she was doing all of this to mess with me, or got everything terribly askew, but I just left on the strong chance she was messing with me due to seeing me in the jalopy I pulled up in and younger street clothes. read more

Decided to stop into this winery on the way up to Alderbrook. It's a little out of the way in this small town but the wines are great and it's definitely worth the stop. This boutique winery had all dry reds. There wasn't one I didn't like. I especially liked their Cab Franc and their Portside which which is a Cab heavy blend. The wine maker also made a stop in while we were there and we enjoyed hearing the history of the winery during our tasting. Like did you know the winery is named after the local Mosquito boat fleet? Or that the wine maker is also the local chiropractor? If you find yourself in the area stop on buy, taste some wine and bring home a few bottles. read more

We had such a fantastic time at the winery. The wines were delicious and the history of the winery incredibly interesting. The staff is top notch, friendly and totally five star and Jackie was really lovely. The only thing that kept this from being a five star experience was one of the owners who was unmasked. Despite their own sign about wearing a mask unless seated and the amazing staff all being masked, this gentleman went from table to table leaning into personal spaces without a mask. While we appreciate he wanted to be friendly and make sure we were enjoying ourselves, it made for uncomfortable moments in an otherwise very memorable experience. read more

We have been Captain Club members for 5 years, getting 4 bottles of wine every three months. We also stop in several times a year for tastings and a glass of wine. We have been happy with the service up until now and love the tasting room. However, the last few times we have stopped in, the tasting room and outdoor patio, they have had parties with little kids, and the staff seem put off by us being there. We usually go to taste on a date and this place has been going downhill with "experience" . Also, most of the wines are presented too young Our last time in the tasting room, there were little girls playing hide and go seek in the back area (I'm assuming they were children of staff?). And running through the tasting room. We were told several times from our server that we should yell when we were ready for our next wine because there were more people outside. Again, pretty put off by the whole experience, and we expect more class out of a tasting room that charges $30-40/ a bottle. read more

There's a winery where? In Belfair? Well I'll be damned. This is not something I expected to run across, however my local guides brought me here to do a little tasting. These folks are making interesting wines from grapes brought over from the Columbia gorge and Walla Walla. Pepper Bridge, etc. Solid large vineyards that produce great fruit. The wines here are tasty in general, but what really surprised me was the port. A rosso style port made from an actual port varietal. The Grifferson Reserve is really, really good rosso port dessert wine. I sampled both the 2011 and the 2012 and they're both pretty amazingly tasty. At $50 a bottle, they should be! In general the prices here reflect the small-batch size of the winery. Not inexpensive or value wines, but interesting stuff made well - this kind of production doesn't lend itself to value wines. Friendly staff, fun little industrial tasting room, good wines. Worth a stop if you're in the hood! read more

Heads up - this establishment doesn't implement or honor social distancing norms to protect their customers. Today even though we're still in a pandemic, none of the employees serving wine to customers were wearing masks or maintaining their distance from customers. Discovered this winery a few years ago. We just attended the 2013 vintage release party last weekend. (Free for Captains club members!) They offered tastings of five of their current releases along with gourmet food parings and their latest excellent port served in chocolate edible cups.. Classy event put on by great local owners.
