I had an absolute blast with my family kayaking on Lake Union. The service was great, price was reasonable and they even offered my husband a military discount! ((Huge bonus points)) Unlike Alki Beach Kayak Tours, they offered us complimentary dry bags to store our items. Nice touch. Highly recommend Moss Bay for beginner and expert kayakers!

Came here on Memorial Day. The wait was a bit long but the staff were friendly, helpful, and kept us updated. They gave us a safety talk and we were off in a double kayak. It was a great experience overall - just don't forget to pay after your done and pick up your license/ID. I almost forgot to go back to the kiosk!

One of my favorite things I did on my trip to Seattle! We went on a sunny Saturday and rented a double kayak for $26/hour, life jackets and water baggies included. No line--we were out on the water in about 5 minutes. We managed to kayak all the way to Gasworks and back within one hour (as two young, reasonably fit people). BEAUTIFUL view of the skyline and bridges. I would absolutely come back again.

Kinda hard to rate non food places for me because I don't know what constitutes a 4 or 5 star. Lets just say 4 star is a thing I'd do again, but not regularly. 5 star is something that I'd want to do a lot. But I'm not sure what that 5 star item would be... I went paddleboarding for the first time here right before summer started and it was probably around 75 degrees that day at 4pm. Turned out to be warm enough! I thought it would be chillier since it's water activities, but granted I didn't fall into the water, it was fine! When I see people doing this, it looks super easy, but then I think about it, I'm like that's hard! It turned out to be something in between. You get a life jacket from this place, safety! I got used to standing/balance on the board pretty easily, but paddling was a lot of work from a standing position. When you get tired, you can sit down, and it's like kayaking haha. Lake Union is also a great spot for this. It's generally pretty calm waters, except when you come across fancy boats going by. I went for just shy of 2 hours, which was good enough for me. I bought a groupon so I think it was $15 for the two hours. Regularly $15/hour. They were able to accommodate a group of roughly 10 just fine. Parking around SLU is a bit tricky. There's street parking, but I bet it's probably for only up to 2 hours ($1.50-$2/hr I'm guessing). There's a parking lot right outside of this place, but it's probably more expensive per hour. SOOooo...come on a Sunday when there are no street parking restrictions.

I've kayaked on Lake Union a few times now. Compared to other rental shops, Moss Bay exceeded expectations. The customer service was great--staffed full of friendly faces. Located on the south end of Lake Union, it was the perfect place to capture the skyline of downtown Seattle, the Space Needle, and Gas Works (all in an hour). Other Pros: Beginner friendly, which was good because I was with Mom (an inexperience kayaker). They provided a large waterproof bag for personal belongings. The price was cheaper: $24/hour for a double ($12/person if split). Fees are prorated 1/4 an hour after the first hour. Cons: Expensive paid parking--$9.81 for 2 hours.

Diego and the crew were so friendly and knowledgeable! My first time kayaking and I will definitely come back to Moss Bay!

Even though I had trouble getting back I would highly recommend this place. You can also ask them where the sleepless in Seattle house is, it's like 30 mins away from the dock. A lot of fun. Would go back.

We rented two kayaks and two paddle boards this week and had a great time! We showed up right when they opened at 10 AM and were out on the lake within 15 minutes. The service was great, all the kids that work here are super friendly and cheery. My daughter had never kayaked before and I'm no expert, so I do wish the gal could have explained maneuvering a bit more - but she figured it out after some frustration. I like that they pro-rate to the nearest quarter hour on rentals too. They let me take my 4 year old in the single kayak and it worked out great...the lake is beautiful and fun to explore! We were out for almost two hours and it was the perfect amount of time!

You should definitely try and come early as sometimes they run out of the equipment you want and have to wait. I got a single kayak and it's $16/hr. I like where they are located because you are already on the water with a view whereas other kayak rental places are on the other side of the lake and you have to go far to get to gas works or view the space needle.

I've been to Moss Bay a couple of times now for kayaking. They have everything you need, and it's completely okay if you're a beginner! I'm glad my friend checked Groupon before we arrived! Definitely helps to save a bit and share the cost. I've always done the two person kayak (share the paddling effort!) They have dry bags so you can store personal items and it is held with stretchy cords on the kayak. Perfect to keep your phone safe and take it out when you want to take photos. It's nice leisurely kayaking across the lake to Gas Works park. If the water is warm enough, you can park your kayak and enjoy the water for a bit. It's nice checking out the house boats too. Fun sunny day activity and the staff are friendly!

I opted for the cocktail class and was so impressed! First, the quality of the ingredients they shipped to me was amazing, from a spiced honey ginger syrup and special bitters blend to candied ginger and dehydrated orange garnishes. We made three bourbon drinks (Woodford Reserve, also included), led by a mixologist from the Seattle area. I especially liked the Holiday in Louisville, which was a twist on a Moscow mule, and the spiced old fashioned. Overall Leavenworth was well worth the trip. Expectations were exceeded! We enjoyed a beautiful snowy drive with several Christmas movies & Trivia on both ways. The bus was surprisingly filled with people who seemed to be 25+ (a perk for us late 20's) but it would still be enjoyable for kids/teens. We left the SLU around 10am and arrived by 1pm, had time to explore shops and eat two meals, then got on the bus by 6pm and arrive by 8:15pm! It even snowed during our time there which made it extra memorable. Food and drink is super reasonably priced there, compared to Seattle at least. The host was entertaining and friendly. Only knocked off one star for the in-bus bathroom - it unfortunately wasn't the cleanest as was out of toilet paper and hand sanitizer - yikes! The host did walk around with plenty of snacks, water, and hand sanitizer later. Aside from that, everything was seamless! Thanks, Sound Excursions!

Dorito Dan was our guide for the day. Dan was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The first hour is dedicated to introductions, procedures and safety. Be sure to use the restroom before departing. Once on the water, there is no turning back. Kayaking is great for teamwork and communication. Both are required to avoid frustration. I recommend wearing weight-lifting/bicycle gloves in order to prevent blisters. Each person in our group started getting blisters towards the end of the tour. During our 3 mile kayaking trip, we spotted starfish, seals and majestic bald eagles. Thank you Outdoor Adventures for providing a magnificent day of play while surrounded by gorgeous Mother Nature. We read the reviews online and called them to book our adventure. We were treated with kindness and respect from the time that we got there. They outfit you with wet suits and boots and it's suggested that you bring your own hats, sunglasses and sunscreen. Our guy took the time to get to know all the folks that were in our group and arranged us in the raft, according to our age and abilities. My son and his friend sat towards the back of the raft, which turned out to be the safest and driest location. After a short walk-through of expectations and paddling instruction, we got underway. Smooth sailing for the 1st mile or so, and then we hit our first group of rapids. The guy did an outstanding job of keeping us afloat and telling us which side to paddle aggressively, and which side to back off on.
