We decided to call Cool Experts because they came highly recommended by a friend. They sent an HVAC technician out the same day, which was already impressive. The technician took the time to thoroughly diagnose the system and showed me exactly what was happening. He explained that when the system froze, the blower overamped, and that is what actually tripped the breaker. He didn't just tell me what was wrong, he took the time to show me and educate me on what was happening with our HVAC system. He also gave us honest options. repair our 20 year old air conditioning system or consider replacing it. There was no pressure, just a straightforward explanation of our options. We've had several AC and HVAC companies work on our home over the past 20 years, and Cool Experts is the first company that has really taken the time to explain our system to us in a way that actually made sense. They repaired my easy fix, so I give 2 stars, but told me it would be $100 service call or I could sign up for $179 service package they want to lock you into and then come back later and upsell you more costly repairs. He then came back in the house and conveniently changed service call fee from $100 to $165. I've never been quoted a price after work was done and then had it switched. This was only because he thought I would sign up for $179 service nonsense. I'm in sales, I wish I could change my pricing anytime I wanted. Again, seek elsewhere unless you can get Dale back in a uni.

That cost $110 as it is under the 10 year warranty, which, given there have been constant problems for 6 out of the last 7 years since 2 units were installed in 2019, was okay, or so we thought. About a month later, the condenser fan for that same upstairs unit stopped spinning, so when the tech came to assess the situation on August 1st, he stated that the coil needed to be replaced due to a leak, and that it would cost $2900 to repair with labor, which occurred 3 days later on the 4th. During the repair, the tech was constantly on the phone when he should have been focused on his job, and bragged to the person he was speaking to that he was the best tech Mondragon had. For starters, people great at their job don't brag about it, but what does that say about your company when the unit goes out 2 weeks later which it did today, on the 21st due to the condenser fan not spinning yet again with lukewarm air coming out the vents? Mind you, after the coil was replaced on the 4th, just 3 short days later the downstairs unit stopped working. When I called to relay my frustration, the rep I spoke to took notes of what I had to say, and stated she would send my info to a service manager, who would call me back shortly. I heard back shortly alright, but via text where it was relayed to me that a tech could come out.........in 3 WEEKS, the second week of September!!!! They claim it is due to being behind and being short staffed, but come on. My mother is on Social Security, she CANNOT AFFORD TO SPEND HUNDREDS OR THOUSANDS EVERY 2 WEEKS WHEN THE UNITS STOP WORKING!!!!! There is NO guarantee when it comes to their labor, please folks, go elsewhere and DO NOT let your hard earned money go to waste!!! Shortly after, they sent an automated spiel text with [Customer Name] indicating they will no longer provide services at my mother's address, before they sent that same message a second time with my name in lieu of [Customer Name], indicating other people have had similar problems with their company. They still owe my mother the back half of the annual maintenance for the winter tune-up up and refuse to answer phone or messages. They are that sensitive, and rather than address the customer's needs and concerns as a reputable company would do, they resort to juvenile grade school tactics proving they are not worthy of your business. That said, I do wish them all the best as well and hope they learn to treat customers better in the future rather than dismissing them and saying it is a problem on our end instead of owning up to their mistakes.
