    AC Furnace Wiring Damage 1

    Date of Transaction: 07/30/2021 Business committed to repair nest thermostat and burned transformer fuse. Dispute: After initial inspection, Extreme comfort company falsely mentioned that transformer module and contactor not working where only transformer fuse burned and nest thermostat issue. Company over estimated and gave me invoice for $690 at the end of service and I felt its pricy and when I ask for payment options since am not in position to pay $690 upfront then Extreme Comfort gave me option to pay full or revert the service with replacing new parts with old parts and pay only service fee that is $29.00. I agreed for paying service fee and replace new parts with my old parts and then paid service fee. Later called my house builder for second opinion and builder found and showed me that AC furnace broken and transformer fuse stolen, contactor stolen and transformer broken and this is surprise to me and never imagine that any responsible A/C company can steal the things and broke the wiring system. I called the Extreme Comfort company then they admitted that damage done purposefully because i choose the option for paying service fee on reverting the work. I never imagined that any responsible companies will damage/steal the parts if not willing to pay over estimate and choose the option that company it self gave and its total ridiculous. Please be aware of this company for your A/C repair. Regards Vasu

    New 2-Ton 16 SEER Unit on New Concrete Pad

    We have lived in our house for about 4-years and one AC condenser and coil seemed like it was put in 30-years ago based on how poorly it cools, but I guess we are thankful to have gotten 4-years out of it. We looked around a lot trying to get the best company to do the work of giving us the best price on a new condenser and coil and installing it and THE BEST COMPANY for us is Extreme Comfort AC & Heating!!! From the beginning of the process with my very long conversation with the owner, Marc B., it was obvious that Extreme Comfort was the right choice to replace our AC condenser and coil. Marc is extremely knowledgeable about all things HVAC related and was very kind and patient to answer all of my questions about what we needed and how the work would be done, but more importantly what WE DID NOT NEED. Unfortunately, I've grown a bit skeptical of getting taken advantage of by different home systems repairers or installers. This was absolutely NOT the case with Extreme Comfort AC & Heating and I am thankful to Marc and Earle, Extreme Comfort's estimator (my terminology), for giving me that piece of mind. Extreme Comfort's job estimator, Earle E., came by our house exactly at our appointment time and was extremely helpful in answering my questions and was very efficient in determining exactly what equipment we needed. Earle also was helpful in explaining why we didn't need a redundant air return in our hall when each adjacent bedroom already had their own return. In the end, Earle helped us save quite a bit of money and we got a much better system than proposed by our other AC company bidding the job, BY OVER $800!!!! It is the very next day after agreeing on a new condenser and coil and Extreme Comfort's installation crew got here early and installed everything and had it all set and ready to go within 2 hours! The guys got it all done much quicker than I thought it would take and were very courteous. On the installation crew, I primarily dealt with the tall young man with a beard and glasses and he was very polite and, like everyone else at Extreme Comfort, very professional and knowledgeable about the work he and his crew did. Great to have such excellent employees like this installer. Thank you Marc, Earle and the two installation guys for getting our old dying AC system replaced quicker than I hoped for and at a price over $800 cheaper than the price quoted by our original AC company! A huge win for us. THANK YOU Marc, Earle and install guys for the GREAT JOB all around! My wife, children and I are very happy with our new AC system and now we don't have to try to sleep every night with fans going 100MPH in our bedrooms!

    The old ducts in my attic were deteriorating and had developed leaks. The guys came out and replaced all my duct work in my house. They arrived on time and did the work faster than I thought they would. Would recommend these guys for duct work.

The fan on my outside unit stopped blowing and after failing to diagnose the problem myself, I called Nicks. Great customer service upfront and I got the incredible Chris to come out and help. Turns out the contractor failed and Chris, being his amazing self, showed me what was wrong, how he figured it out, and more. I honestly cannot recommend Nicks enough. They're honest, kind, and fast, and will continue to be my AC go-to's.

Sadly, the owner of Nick's passed away and this company is now owned by Dunrite. I called that company based on the reviews of Nick's Air Services, but their services has definitely NOT been the same as mentioned on this profile. In summary, this company is expensive, can make improper recommendations, and the office is very difficult to get anyone to call you back. I absolutely would not use them again in the future and - had I read their Yelp profile for Dunrite Heating & Cooling - would never have called them in the first place. My experience: My air conditioning due to leaked refrigerant due to another HVAC technician not correct. Nick's/Dunrite came out during the same day and quickly identified the problem. There was a leak on the schrader valve. They got us back to running - for nearly $200/per pound of refrigerant. 5 lbs = about $1,000. Wow, but we had no choice as my original installer was not available. Our unit has not been keeping up with the 90s for the past two months and the technician recommended 3 different options. I chose 2 of the 3 options: a larger return air duct AND repairing the plenum. I was anxious to get the work scheduled and it took me hounding them to get them to schedule the work. Communicating with this office was very painful. I would never get calls back and would just get a text message indicating when they had scheduled the appointment. Their front desk support was exceedingly helpful but not empowered to do anything besides schedule appointments and pass along info. I finally had the appointment and the technician went to the wrong address. I got a call from them saying they had been at my house and then they proceeded to the next job. I spoke to them and learned they were at the wrong house, but could not turn around to go back to my house. I had to wait until the following week to get the appointment rescheduled. What a disaster. It got worse. The work was finally done - the return air duct and the plenum. I waited a couple of days, but there was NO change in the air conditioning. I called them back again and they scheduled another technician to come out. The second technician came out, a more senior technician, who confirmed that the unit was undersized and "working as it was designed" to cool at 75-76. I don't know a single person who is comfortable with 75-76 in the house when the outside is in the 90s. I called customer service again. When I finally got someone, I got a call from William, who is their most senior technician (an older guys in his late-50s probably). He came out with the original technical and instructed him how to properly do a heat load calculation. They determined indeed the unit is undersized and I needed a 3 ton. I called back the customer service asking for a refund to the work. I've called at least 3-4 times, each time speaking with a very nice person. However, I've still not been called back. What a disaster. I've finally had to resort to filing a complaint with my credit card and disputing it through them. It's unfortunate and I didn't want to have to do this, but - when no one will call you back - it's very very hard to trust this company to make things right.

    I came home Friday Afternoon (10APR26) to find a puddle forming in my garage. My water heater of…read moreover 16 years had finally given out. To Rescue Air's credit, they had been warning us each time they came out for HVAC Filter rotations. Thankfully, Rescue Air's ace plumbing expert Mr. Phillip Blystone was dispatched to my home to assess the situation. Within minutes he identified the issue and immediately started to work out a plan and arrangement my family could manage to cover the expense of the Water Heater replacement: the source of the leaking problem. Rescue Air has a very long history of working with my family since we've been in this home (2016), so that level of service is a given these days. But that's not the complete reason for the 5-Star rating. The next day, now with a working heater, my wife and I discovered that a leak was still present in the Garage. Upon calling Rescue Air to let them know what was going on, Mr. Blystone responded swiftly to our location to triage the leak. Using both his advanced equipment and intuition, he found that in spite of the solid repair and replace he and his team performed of the water heater, a leak was sadly missed during the initial assessment. Most other business would likely have tacked on a "not-our-problem" sort of response to this. However, Mr. Blystone and by extension Rescue Air are not your normal type of company. With careful consideration of the economic circumstance of the recent repair & purchase, balancing years of customer loyalty and being a genuinely saint, Mr. Blystone proceeded to isolate and resolve the leak (a small puncture hole in the T-pipe hot-water line leading from the heater) pro-gratis. Completely unexpected, but definitely much appreciated! It goes without saying it would be extremely foolish for my family to consider doing business with anyone else in the Dallas Metro given Rescue Air's track record with our family. The value lost would be far too great. While I hope to not need their services as often as recently, I definitely look forward to working with them and Mr. Blystone should the need arise again.

    I hired Rescue Air & Plumbing in 2023 for routine maintenance on the original AC in our home. What…read moreshould have been a simple visit turned into high pressure sales tactics. They claimed safety issues, pushed contracts in front of me, and scheduled installation for the next day. I tried to cancel but was told I was locked in. I ended up spending around $30,000. After the installation, every maintenance visit came with aggressive attempts to sell me more services I did not need. Then the new system failed in 106 degree heat. The compressor failed at only 16 months old. Communication was poor, and I was left without AC for about seven days. I had to repeatedly chase them for updates. They did not have the part, did not follow up, and someone finally arrived at 10:30 PM after days of waiting. They gave me a two year complimentary membership as compensation. I assumed the membership would end after the two free years. My card on file had expired, yet in May and June 2026 the company suddenly began charging me again. This suggests someone manually updated my card information without my permission. I never authorized a renewal, never received a renewal notice, and never received invoices for any charges. They refunded the charges I caught, but then claimed I owed $95.80 for four months of fees that were never billed and never agreed to. I asked for written confirmation of a zero balance and never received a direct response. They only responded to the BBB and stated the account was at zero. Based on my experience with both service and billing, I strongly recommend being cautious before using this company.

I can honestly say that my experience with Justin Berry (owner) and the entire Coolinary Arts team was exceptional. I am so pleased with their outstanding products and wonderful customer service. Justin Berry manages an excellent team, including his "right-hand man" Dylan Hayes. I decided to go with Coolinary Arts because their Yelp ratings were far superior to all the competition in the Dallas area. My decision was a very good one indeed. After initially speaking with Justin on the phone, he sent Dylan to my home to see what my home needed in the way of a new Trane HVAC system to be installed with complete new ductwork in my attic. Dylan is very knowledgeable and has a very pleasant, relaxed personality. There was no sales pitch and no pressure whatsoever. After deciding what model (number of tons and SEER rating) would be best for my home, we ordered my new Trane HVAC system. Several days later, it was professionally installed by Justin's remarkable installation team. It should be noted that Justin and/or Dylan were present during the entire installation process. I am convinced that buying high quality equipment from a reputable company is important, but their ability to install it perfectly is MOST important. Justin's team did an amazing job of installing my new HVAC system and all the new ductwork. They also installed two (2) new air intake vents in my ceiling in different parts of the home to maximize my new system's efficiency. My home now heats and cools beautifully. I highly recommend Coolinary Arts to anyone who is looking for a new high-quality HVAC system to be professionally installed with no hiccups. When making a big-ticket purchase like this, it is essential that the customer feels good about it. We were happy that each contractor provided us the same feedback and input that our unit was slightly undersized in our existing air returns were choking the system from our initial visit with Dylan walk-through easy to review services in different packages. We felt there was transparency and then had a couple conversations with the owner Justin on what made the most sense finance the right equipment and service warranties. They worked with us and provided several different financing options a great winter buyback program of the old unit and we're able to get us scheduled within three days of selecting them. The team showed up on time removed and dispose of all the old units made the improvements to the returns and upsizing ductwork and it's been about a month and we cannot be happier with a quiet new inverter system keeping us cool at night. We look forward to our ongoing maintenance program with them. We would highly recommend this team.

We had to deal with a lot of salesmen-y type of people that didn't feel honest. Quoting huge numbers and telling us our AC was definitely going to die any moment. Telling us we had to buy these huge expensive replacements. We knew it was going bad, but the experience we had with the greasy salesmen techs made us decide to wait for it to fail before trying again to find someone good. It finally failed May 2026. I did my research again and found this company. The reviews were great but I was still really nervous because of our last experience. Called them out, fully expecting to go through the process of calling multiple people before finding someone. However, Alfredo was immediately different from the others. He is such a kind and personable person. What a great first impression. If you are able to ask by name, I suggest ask for Alfredo. He arrived exactly on time, too. He didn't feel like a salesperson at all. He felt honest and genuine. He gave us all of our options. From repair to full and complete replacement and everything in between. He discussed with us the pros and cons of each option. It never felt like he was pushing us one way or the other. It felt like he just wanted us to have a working AC that worked for us, period. He also spoke equally to both my husband and I. Many technicians tend to only speak to my husband which is annoying since I take care of most of the home management. Previously we were told we had to do this super expensive option to keep our upstairs cool but Alfredo told us we likely didn't need it, and if we did, we could have it added later. I knew right away we didn't need to have anyone else come out. We chose them and they were able to install our new system same day. We left the house, and they were very respectful of our house while they were here alone. They cleaned up after themselves and locked the doors behind them. He said they would likely be done around 2am and they finished at exactly 1:59am! We had a Lego display on the wall that I'm guessing got bumped (I forgot to remove it before they arrived so that was my bad). Some pieces fell off and broke apart and they put them all on the table. I've knocked that thing off myself and finding those scattered pieces is annoying. No missing pieces at all. I was impressed by this small thing. Just another example of the care and thoughtfulness of the crew. The AC is incredible. I'm very happy so far with our choice in system and in who we picked to install it. I don't feel bamboozled or taken advantage of in any way. Highly recommend! Very glad I found them.

Starting with Jessica, she set up our appointment with TPDR. Speaking with her, I immediately felt like I made the right decision by calling TemperaturePro Dallas-Richardson. Mark, my TPDR representative has EXCEPTIONAL (I don't want overuse the word exceptional; in this case, he does) customer service skills; I know, because I work in customer service! Mark was professional and he's a great listener; to me, that's a plus! We never felt pressured. Mark took notes, he evaluated our existing HVAC system, and he offered great recommendations. Mark understood what we were seeking for our HVAC needs. Because he understood what we were seeking, we received exactly (Carrier 2-Stage System) what we wanted at a very competitive price. Disclosure... I sought three (3) HVAC quotes. After doing extensive research (I wanted to be realistic with pricing), TemperaturePro Dallas-Richardson met what we budget for; it was a win-win for us and TPDR. Additionally, our install team, Moe, Juan, and Ethan were a GREAT Trio... in short, from a technician/installer standpoint, they knock it out of the park!!!
