This is the most amazing community park! It's huge! Beautiful grass. A nice kids play area with a sprinkler pad for those hot summer days. An exercise area, where your body provides the weights to make the equipment work (bring a friend)! Ball parks. Walking paths that are all cement (well, basically lots of sidewalks. Lol). Clean restrooms. Lots of plants and flowers. Picnic tables and benches. Large parking area. Looks new! read more

Great dog park. We moved away but have family in manteca so we still visit this park.

This park has been moved multiple time in recent years and FINALLY it's found a home. What makes the park great is that it's split between bigger dogs and smaller dogs. Which is pretty excellent. My 120lb pup can be a bit of jerk on occasion, add on top that he's not such a social butterfly since he hit 11. Usually I take him during off hours and he prefers to just hang out next to me rather than play with a pup half his age. In the center common area, there's a wonder place to picnic and just relax, read a book. The space is nearly triple that of the previous dog park. It truly is one of the better dog parks in the area. A lot of local dogs. Also, know of a few people who drive from Modesto few times a week to visit. We never stay too long since old boy get tired and picking up that moose isn't going to happen. After a half hour we bounce and go to Starbucks and get him a tall cup of whip. He goes ape! read more

Plenty of space in both small and large dog play areas. Dogs are friendly and well cared for, lots of small pups in the evenings. Some are folks from the neighborhood, others from nearby cities. Everyone is warm and welcoming. Wish it had a people potty! read more

My first time there a couple people welcomed us. I think they saw the fear of letting my 4 month gsd off the leash to socialize for the first time. Everyone seemed really nice and the dogs as well. My dog is learning to socialize with other dogs and is a little vocal. Some of the people there said it was normal for them for most new comers to act that way. So it helped me not feel so overwhelmed. As for the place it's not too bad. I really do not have much to compare it with. There are fountains. Gates to separate the little dogs and big dogs. I felt were plenty of benches. Little picnic tables to separate the small dog and big dog park. There is a bathroom with no soap or paper towels so maybe bring your own wipes. Right passed over the gate is a levy people walk on and the river. When the sun sets of really nice. When you first go there just be aware of the dogs and the type of people around you. This might help you feel at ease. I watch other dogs and how they are and their owners. You can get a gut feeling. Most of the dogs I met so far are fun and really just want to play. Just have to get the newbie dogs to lighten up and let them see this is normal. The reason I put four stars.. The two stars are for the rare times I have the park to myself or at minimum 2-3 other people. A typical day, this place is an over-run small dog circus and I'm always ready for something to happen due to all of the dogs being off of their leashes and practically tripping over everything. I pretty much never see anyone wrangling theirs-it's literally a free-for-all. I myself recently got bit and know of another time someone's dog got bit and that medical bill was about a couple thousand dollars. It's like whenever this happens, the owner barely bats an eye or doesn't care at all, because it's ALL the victim's fault for doing nothing to entice the biter! The small "friendly-looking" Pomeranian that bit me, all the owner said was "hey! get over here." KEEP THE THING LEASHED IF IT HAS THE TENDENCY TO BITE!! Why does no one seem to take responsibility for their pet at a very obviously popular small-dog park???! *Word to the un-wise: if you're approaching a desired location and it looks really crowded, keep moving. You'll *SHOCK* avoid trouble/drama that way. read more

This is a pretty nice dog park with two separate areas for small and large dogs. There's parking on the curb and a walking trail beside the dog park. I stopped going because there were a couple of kids with their dogs who brought drinks, food, and a dart board to the park (my dog could easily get hurt with those darts!), which really killed the mood for me. read more

This is a very nice dog park. There are two sides (one for dogs 25 lbs & under and one for all larger dogs) with lots of space for dogs to run and play. The parks are very long and mostly grass with some concrete and paver like stones so it is easy to play fetch with your dog without overthrowing the length of the park even with a chuck it. The park seems to be mostly well maintained and clean as the park has plenty of bag stands and garbage cans for people to clean up after their dogs. (Most people actually do clean up after their dog, which is much appreciated) The park gets crowded at times and occasionally there are some not so friendly dogs but with responsible owners dog fights are very rare. read more

This is the best dog park I've seen since I've had my dog. Always well taken care of. There is a small dog area and another for larger dogs. However, some of the regulars bring their small dogs into the large dog area because the small area is empty. I don't always agree w/that decision but I disregard it unless the ankle biter starts getting yeppie w/my dog. There is a water foutain for people & dogs in the front of the park entrance,big part has plenty of room, 2 benches to sit on in the park, poop bags, and friendly people. The dogs have always been good to mine and the owners really watch their dogs. The park is over by the canal so sometimes I take my dog for a walk up on the canal before taking her to the park. The only problem I see is owners bringing in toys and balls to play with. Dogs can get posesive over their personal toys and balls & cause a rukus. I normally ask the owners to reframe from using them while I'm in the park. Again, one of the best dog parks I've seen in the Central Valley. read more

This is one of the nicest public dog parks I have visited in the area thus far. Like most dog parks, there are separate parks for large dogs and small dogs (my dogs are larger breeds, so my review focuses on the large dog park), and the park itself is adjacent to a river, and it is relatively close to Interstate 5, which is great if you are passing through the area with your dogs and need to stretch your legs. There is a drinking fountain near the entrance with multiple tiers, so dogs can also drink from the fountain, and a considerable amount of shade provided by an oak tree in one section. Between the two dog parks is a single stall restroom and a covered picnic area. The park is elongated which is great for dogs who like to run, but because of the size and incline of the park, it is easy for your dogs to wander out of sight. Recently, an agility ramp was added to the large dog park, although the small dog park has a more impressive agility setup. The only problem I have had with this dog park is the number of patrons who bring intact dogs; during my first two visits there were a couple of patrons who brought their in-heat females, which made for an unnecessarily tense visit. read more
