Jorge was my point of contact after my insurance referred me to this location after being rear ended in the summer of 2022. Super late review I know, but my service here was painless. Jorge reviewed my vehicle, kept in contact with me as my vehicle was being serviced, and maintained professionalism. My car took about 3 weeks to be completed. It took some time having to deal with my insurance and processing but the work was completed and my car was fixed. 2 years later and still no issues or concerns with the work that was done. Rear bumper needed to be replaced as well as the rear tail lights and of course the paint. Car came back to me as if nothing happened. Cannot tell it was involved in any accident and had some work done. Flash forward 2024 my newer Honda gets side swiped. I required a small repair on my Xterra that a previous body shop had failed to attend to. Wanting it done correctly, I sought out Nissan Collision Center in National City. A quick phone call to Tony confirmed it could be done quickly and easily. When I arrived, Tony helped me immediately and assured me it would be done within an hour. Perhaps less than 30 minutes later, Tony told me that the repair was completed but he also wanted to show me something else. When the technician had raised the hood of the car, he found that a number of locking clips - previously removed by the previous body shop - hadn't been replaced. Tony had it done for my car, no extra charge. Further, when it came to totaling up my bill, Tony charged me 40% less than what he'd quoted me over the phone. I was extremely happy with both the quality and attention to detail of the work done to my Xterra. Tony was an absolute excellent model of what all automotive technicians and supervisors should strive to be. Should I need further body work on my car, I know to go only to Nissan Collision Center in National Center, and I'll ask for Tony. I was involved in a car accident and got referred here by family that has had previous experiences getting repairs done here. This was a painless experience. My insurance covered all the work done and dealing with the front desk and Oscar was a breeze. They got the work done in roughly two weeks and my ride looks like nothing even happened. Albeit, my door sounds a bit different when I shut it, it's back in tact and everything else sounds great when driving. What a nightmare experience. To start, my vehicle first went to Ball Acura, where they then took it to Mossy Collision for some body repair covered under warranty. Was told my car would be ready for weeks just to unexpectedly be told "actually another repair/part needs to be made/ordered"... they had my car for 6 weeks. As frustrating as that was, I was patient. Upon picking my car up (finally), I found that numerous items had been stolen from my vehicle. Brand new Ray Bans, even the sunglass case, GONE. Airpods and various items from my center console *magically* disappeared. First thing I checked as I had a bad gut feeling. I went back to the service advisor, as I hadn't even driven my car off the lot. The owner of the Collision Center had 0 concern and blatantly stated how nobody took anything. I'm left angry and anxious as I feel they could have done even shadier practices during that time. Who knows what else was done/taken from my vehicle. Lesson learned not to leave anything in your vehicle. However, shame on the business for not taking ANY accountability. Be sure to remove your valuables and maybe avoid this dishonest & shady business if possible. read more

These guys are fast! They made my car look new! (From the bumper anyway! Now that bumper makes the other scratches stand out bc it looks so damn good!) Over all it took 3 full days. They have good customer service. They provideda shuttle home and picked me up too. My car is missing the bumper sticker but that's only bc the one they received for it was damaged so I'm expecting to see them next week. Avoid at all costs. Unprofessional, unreliable, ridiculous. I had a minor collision which caused some rear end damage. Not serious but clearly the bumper was miss aligned and needed to be fixed. I took the car into them for an assessment and they cheeked it over, verified with the insurance and told me to bring the car back in a week for the repair. The following Monday I took the car in. Again, they looked over all the paper, inspected and photoed the damage and told me 3-4 days. I rented a replacement. Three days later I get a call come pick up the car, we cant work on this. The car has a salvage tittle and their policy is they will not work on cars with salvage titles. Okay, I can understand that. But you reviewed all the paper work twice and it clearly says that on all the paper work. So when I questioned them on how they did not notice that for three days and why they did no notice that on ALL the documents, the direct response was, and I quote. "its not our job to inspect the car when we take them in, its your responsibility to make sure we know that. " Forgive me Mossy Collision Center, but that is your primary job and that is the ONLY job for Tony, the gentleman who took the car in and reviewed the documents twice. Now to their credit they did offer to cover the cost of the rental car for the three days I had it. Thank you for that and I do want to be fair in my review. But when you reply that you take in to many cars in order to do your job correctly I highly recommend to Mossy Collision Center that they reconsider their business structure. And I most strongly recommend to the next customer to use them to keep in mind their positions is its YOUR job to understand everything before you bring your car to them for repair. Andrew Layus review I had a fairly serious accident in early October, 2022 and I called Andrew Layus, a service estimator, 20 minutes after the accident occurred, well after closing hours. He responded immediately and his concern was first for me and then he spoke with the tow truck operator. I was pretty shaken and Andrew told him where to take the car that evening and he picked up my car the next morning. I have a 2022 Honda CRV Hybrid and due to supply chain issues, the repair parts were not available at the time of my accident. I would not get my car back until January, 2023, through no fault of Mossy. Through the entire process, Andrew helped me secure a rental vehicle, worked with the adjusters, kept me informed every step of the way and went over and beyond to make sure my car was restored to like-new condition. I am extremely grateful for the care I received from Andrew, management, and the entire team at Mossy Collision. The worst experience I've ever had dealing with a car. I waited a week for an update and had to call in order for them to start texting me. I was told that everything was on track for the completion date and they had to order the parts. Mossy Collision took care of our repair a couple years ago after my car was struck by an elderly gentleman. He somehow lost control of his car and sideswiped the driver side of his car against my front bumper. He nearly tore it off as the car sat in a parking lot. I was very satisfied with the service we received at Mossy Collision last time that we came back to them again for another repair. They had my Nissan Maxima for 16 days and the same agent that helped me last time, Oscar, helped me again this time. Oscar was great at communicating about the status of the repair and returned my calls right away. He anticipated my repair would be completed by the 5th but he let me know that because of the heavy rains it delayed everything a couple of days. I was finally able to pick up my car yesterday and it looks fabulous. It looks brand new and he even took care of all these scratches I had on my driver side door from the kids bumping our other car door against it in the garage. Those scratches had been bugging me for a while now but there was nothing I could do about it. Repairing the scratches wasn't part of the insurance claim and when I asked how much it would cost me he said it was complimentary. The car was thoroughly cleaned inside and out. I got refer there for my Honda Pilot from Mossy Honda in Lemon Grove for extended warranty on my paint and I don't think they did there job. I went there March 4 2020 and never heard from them at all. So I went back to Mossy Honda after a month and I don't know what happen I believe that they never did the estimate and Honda told Me that my extended warranty was no good. I went to another Honda dealership and refer me to a body shop in Main Street Chula Vista and they give me a whole estimate on what they will be doing and got approved within a week. Whoever owns MOSSY check your dealership and other locations that you own because there not doing there job for there costumers. I know we have this COVID going on but that's not the excuse to do your job. I wish I can give this body shop a 0 stars. read more
