Stay away from this place. I normally do my oil changes but I needed to find a reliable shop for one since I was too busy that particular week to do one. I saw this place had good reviews so I took my VW there. Dropped it off, they told me give us a couple of hours and we'll give you a call. About an hour later, I get a call from them thinking my car was ready but they said sir, your car won't start, it's probably the starter and immediately quoted me on a new starter for around $700. I immediately got pissed and said the car was working perfectly when I dropped it off. I told them I'm on my way and hung up. I show up there and told the tech "show me it won't start". He tried and didn't start. I told him "now press on the brake and try again". Car started and he had the stoopidest look on his face. He said he'd been a mechanic for 7 years and never seen that before. Yeah right! There's even a light with a foot symbol that lights up on the dash when you insert the key. He said ok give us about an hour for the oil change. I said "what oil change? You guys tried to scam me" and I left. Imagine all the people that fall for these scammers. read more

My go to place that never lets me down! A quick 30-40 min turn around to have a tire leak tested without an appointment. Brittany greeted me and handled the transaction. Initially she told me a two hour wait, but when I told her it was just the tire she said "Oh, it'll be less than an hour". The tire was taken in within 10 min of me arriving and Nestor tested it. He couldn't find any air leaks and showed me while the tire was in the tub. He wanted to leave it in the soap mixture to make sure. No leaks! Keep in mind, it's a busy Saturday afternoon, and to be in and out of there in no time is what top notch service is all about! I will add my tire was sitting at the Firestone on Plaza Blvd (near Vallarta) for 4 hours, and still another 1-2 hours to be seen. I have a lot to say because I gave the team at this Firestone so much grace & patience & in return I have received subpar & inconsiderate service. In the last week alone I had to take my car back & forth from Firestone 3 times if I remember correctly. 2 out of 3 times were because they failed to do what they said they would do. Brought it back after a rim repair (as they instructed) for them to do an alignment & balance, which they didn't do. Brought it back again for them to actually do it. Just for me to take my car to Discount Tire today to finish the work Firestone started but failed to complete (TPMS sensor relearn). Honestly any other inconvenienced customer may have cussed yall out by now. That makes my last visit to this particular Firestone. It should be noted that not once was there any accountability taken - they kind of just ignore the elephant in the room and don't address their mistakes. I'm a nice person and *because* I've worked as an advisor at some point, I'm very understanding towards employees at auto repair shops. Came in for a walk-in appointment. I came up to the clerk and asked him if I could make an appointment and told me he'd get to me soon. So I said, alright. 40 minutes later, just waiting in the lounge I see the clerk going through every other customer to get scheduled but me so I decided to stand at the desk to get called up for an appointment to get written but still nothing. I came in to buy new tires, they said it would take up to an hour or so, which I understand since they have other appointments and also it was a busy Sunday for them. My boyfriend and I walked to a place to eat , took us over an hour, came back car wasn't ready. We decided to go back to the house, they called us immediately after to tell me car was ready. Came back, and my car was still up on the car lift with no tires on and no one single person in the office or the shop. I tried to ask a guy that came in about my car to which he rudely told me " "there is people in front of you." I stood there for like another hour and no one seem to have respect for people's times. Firestone is my go-to auto repair shop for years but not anymore. I went here last weekend with my car vibrating with a "service engine soon" flashing on/off. Appointment was 9 am, dropped off. I called twice myself since I didn't get a call. My car spent the whole day there and it wasn't fixed. I was told it might be engine/internal engine damage even when I asked if the other possible culprits were checked -- spark plugs, injector, fuel and air system, etc. I was told by 2 advisors IT ISN'T THE SPARK PLUG. And that ALL THOSE U MENTIONED WERE CHECKED THAT'S WHY TECH THOUGHT/SAID IT MIGHT BE ENGINE/INTERNAL ENGINE DAMAGE. I was referred to an engine shop. I didn't believe them so I went to another shop and I didn't say anything to compare diagnosis. I was relieved to find the problem was just COIL and VERY BAD SPARK PLUGS, which 2 Firestone advisors SAID "IT ISN'T THE SPARK PLUGS." I don't know if these advisors trust the technicians much or they need to back up whatever the tech says. I appreciate being open during these times but please don't LIE. From my mechanic bf, and starting to watch mechanic YouTubers, I learned two tests, COMPRESSION and LEAKDOWN test can verify it is a mechanical problem which I doubt they did and just said "it might be" engine problem. Came here for a check engine light. They changed my gas cap for $45. Light came back on they said it was the purge valve to replace it the cost was $1k plus $150 for the diagnostic. Light came back on they replaced the same part but got it from the dealership so it was a honda brand and not generic. Light came on again manager wanted to get it tested for an electrical issue but they would have to take the car somewhere else. I made an appointment ahead of time for that they had my car all day and it never got checked by the electrical technician. Blah blah blah the story goes on I've gone for the same light about 10 times, a few of my visits I felt like they had wasted my time however all the workers are very professional, understanding and nice, they communicate well. They replaced the same part a 3rd time hopefully it works, they said the parts were faulty twice and it was just bad luck. If the light comes on again, they will start a refund process for me. I can't blame the workers I think my car just has a really messed up problem it was an annoying experience for all of us Good thing is that their work is warranted. read more

Esequiel checked me in and gave me great prices, they were booked full and he asked to keep my truck overnight just so they could help me. Had it done and ready for me the next afternoon. Jr sent pictures telling me what was wrong and told me the cost. When I came in to pick up my truck, Sal was so kind and looked at the bill from Midas and pulled my truck into the bay again just to look at Midas' "work" and check for me if they had actually replaced parts they charged me for. No charge he looked and helped me out with that. They got me fixed up and back on the road, all smiles and great customer service. Real honest work here. I'm typically wary of commercialized auto shops such as Firestone due to the over-exaggerated prices but, paranoia aside, the guys took care of my car when I walked-in that day (4/15/17)! Procrastinator me had been pushing off getting new tires and an alignment for a month... I mean, who wants to spend their paycheck on tires?! -_- Not only did I need 2 tires... turns out I needed 3, lol, fml. I dropped off my car around 1:00PM. Mario gave me a discounted price for my 3 tires; I also told him other issues I was (still am!) having with my car, which is my A/C system not working properly as well as needing to top-off my windshield wiper fluid. They said they would call and run-by me any kind of repairs/services that deviate from my priority (new tires and alignment). They followed up which is A+ customer service in my book; turns out my A/C isn't working properly due to a worn out valve. Fast forward to a couple hours later.... I picked up my whip before closing time (6PM) with three spankin' new tires. Before leaving, Mario gave me a quote and breakdown for the valve I needed for my A/C system. Again, another thing to note for good customer service. The only downside: I asked him whether or not they topped off my windshield wiper fluid; he said yes. Happy Dianne drives away with new tires... I try to clean my dirty a** windshield but NO FLUID COMES OUT?!?!?!? So happy Dianne becomes (slightly) sad/irritated Dianne, lol. In retrospect, the windshield wiper fluid wasn't a big deal (I just bought some myself for $3, hah). Their customer service is A+ and I wouldn't mind coming here for minor services... I was never told a problem with the drain plug. So now they have to replace the oil pan. I think they stripped it but of course I can't prove it. So they screwed me. I brought my truck in for bouncing coming from the right front tire. The manager recommended an alignment. The bouncing was still present but not as bad as before. I embarked on a long road trip for spring break and ended barely making it to my destination. Took my truck to a mechanic and they noticed a missing bolt to the front strut. I decided to replace both bolts to be on the safe side. The truck pulls to the right and still bounces but now worse than originally. I take the truck to a mechanic and he noticed that there were no signs of an alignment and the strut had shifted off the bushing rubbing against the 4X4 drive shaft. Today I went in to ask the manager to make things right but instead he chose to joke about the assessment made by the mechanic and insisted the tech that did my alignment would not overlook something like that and pursued an explanation for the incident "You must have hit a pothole during your trip". Upon seeing NO empathy for ruining my road trip and spending an entire day at a autoshop waiting for repairs and replacement parts so I can drive back home safely. I spend today at an autoshop trying to obtain a second opinion, which the manager thought it was hilarious. I have to file a complaint with the bureau of Automotive repair, to see if others have filed similar complaints and so they can look into my matter for restitution for my losses and a refund for a lifetime alignment. read more

Nowhere on the site does it say what type of car or wipers will be excluded, but in the fine print it says there may be additional charge for certain types. Ok cool, I get to Firestone and they tell me they don't have the wipers I need at all, and a Hyundai Elantra requires special wipers??.. If I want they can order them, for $20 EACH wiper blade. The whole point of this package is that it's a great deal, but I'm now paying $34 for basically a plain old oil change. Which I could get for $12 elsewhere. I came at about 11:15 on a Sunday because I was concerned about one of my tires that hubby thought had a slow leak. They offer full services but appear to specialize in tires, so I thought it would be a good place to have them check it out and they said it was 19.99 to repair tires. The employee told me it would be two thirty before I could get my car back (turned out to be 2:15). I was a bit disappointed that it would take 3.25 hours to get this done, but I had some time on my hands and thought I could eat lunch and do some shopping. The waiting area was nice and had ample seating and a coffee maker. Would've been nicer if it actually had some coffee in it. Some water would be nice too. I liked the employee because he was helpful and when I didn't know the year of my car, cuz it's so old l try not to pay attention, anyhow he didn't roll his eyes or do anything to make me feel worse. I told him I don't care about that kind of stuff. He probably thought Women! , but he didn't show it in his face. Then when they didn't find anything wrong with the tire, he didn't charge me anything. I felt grateful and relieved because I don't want to get stuck with a flat tire or have to keep adding air.
