    Moldy shower mat
    Emma G.

This place is disgusting. I'll start with the decor. It's old. The pillows are lumpy and not hardly considered pillows. The walls are a terrible orange and the paint job is poor. The bed is tiny and terrible. Now for the cleanliness...The bathroom is ok... except the no slip shower mat which is growing old. The floors haven't been cleaned in ages which is evident by my black feet. I took a towel and wiped the floor a little bit and it's black. For the total lack of amenities, you think this place could at least mop the floors. Gross. The smell is awful. From the hallways which smell like smoke to the rooms which smell like industrial cleaning product (the smell speaks into everything you own) I can't breath. Hey... at least the AC kicks a**.

This place is ridiculous, even for a motel 6. They don't provide anything, they don't have breakfast, they charge $2 a day for WiFi, you even have to buy shampoo for $3 yourself cause they don't provide it!!! I mean, WTH!?!? AND you have to enter the stupid access code for WiFi every time you unlock your phone. The security latch is broken, I guess they're just not going to replace it. The Bathroom fan is so loud the bathroom sounds like a server room. I'm speech less. Did I mention they charge $69 a night? It's not cheap at all. Choose other places to stay in Beatty.

Better than expected for a Motel 6. Not bad.

Clean with modern design. Friendly staff, coffee available in lobby. Quiet location and right off the highway. Very pleased!

Dirty bed sheets and pillow cover, dirty and torn towels, smoke smell from next door, uncomfortable soft beds. Never again.

Cheap and clean. A place to shower and sleep while exploring Death Valley, plus gas is SUPER cheap in Beatty, what else can you ask for?

My husband and I decided to take the short trip from Las Vegas to Rhyolite to take our kids to the…read moreout door museum and to see the ghost town. We didn't want to leave our dogs at home so we brought them along too. I thought it would be fun to stay the night in Beaty so we didn't have to rush while in rhyolite. I found this motel online and since it look freshly renovated, modern and dog friendly I knew this was goin to be the perfect spot. Our plans worked out just right. Check in was not until 3pm. So we spent some time in Rhyolite and once the kids and dog were hungry and hot we decided to drive back into town. When we checked into the motel. I was greeted by a very nice young girl. She checked me in and then directed me to our room. Parking was near our door as we were on the bottom floor but tucked away in a small hallway. Right outside of our door was a picnic table and what looked like a potty area for pups. However, our dogs didn't use this area and preferred us to walk them along the backside of the buildings. We weren't sure what we wanted to eat for dinner, but conveniently located in the same parking lot there was a barbecue spot. It worked out great because we were able to walk from our room to the restaurant and they allowed us to bring the dogs. The boys wanted dessert so we were able to walk to a nearby gas station. This motel is in walking distance to basically everything including nightlife. The room was very cozy, clean and the air conditioning worked great. At the time of our stay the Golden Knights were in the playoffs and we were able to watch the game in our room. They also had free Wi-Fi. We did have to ask for extra towels because there were four of us staying in the room. In the morning when we woke up to take the dogs out, we got to see the donkeys walking through the city. Checkout was at 11 which gave us enough time to wake up, pack and grab a snack for the road. Overall, I would highly recommend this place if you're driving through Nevada or you're just looking for a day trip to get away from Las Vegas we will definitely be back !

I stayed in the Asia room. It was very comfortable for a three night stay. Each morning they offer a tasty and satisfying hot breakfast. The location is about 30 minutes outside of death Valley. It's about 25 minutes away from a small town called Beatty. Beatty offers services like gas a few restaurants and a few convenience stores. Be careful when driving around town. There are free range donkeys that roam the streets. They're really cute, but they move it their own pace. The stars here are pretty amazing. I brought my telescope and was glad I did. But even without a telescope, it's worth taking a glass of wine out to the backyard and just gazing into that black sky and soaking in the stars. Pro tip hit up the dollar store in town for supplies. Don't forget to grab a lot of water For your day(s) in Death Valley. Bonus pro tip - wake up early and catch the sunrise in the backyard.

I just needed an email confirming that I canceled this reservation for travel insurance purposes and called to ask him if he would send that email to me. He agreed and took my information. I waited 24 hours to follow up when I hadn't received that email and to email him the next day, to make it easy for him to just respond to the email (something like yes this reservation has been cancelled would have worked fine for me, but after not getting an email response the next day, I called back to ask verbally again. He was extremely agitated right off the bat immediately after picking up the phone, recognizing my voice from previous calls, and sounded so irritated when I asked if he could respond to my email or send one out and he yelled "Look, I sent out the email yesterday. If you didn't get it, I don't know what to tell you. I've spent enough of my time on your reservation in the first place!" AND HUNG UP ON METhat was that. I don't understand how someone in the hospitality industry could act so hostily. l had plans to return there after canceling, but now I have no such intention just based on that experience (I guess I'll have to assume he feels the same about me). And think other travelers may want to be aware of this.

The only noise I heard outside of my room was an occasional door slamming shut in a nearby room. The place wasn't busy, so I could have just been lucky about the low noise level. The hotel was clean including the elevator and stairwell. There was a strong smell of cleaners in the common areas, but not too much in the room (which I appreciate). The beds were average comfort (not bad by any means, but not great). The room had vinyl floors (big reason I like Motel 6), a decent sized shower tub, a mini-fridge with a freezer shelf inside, a microwave, good air conditioning, a sliding window, blackout curtains, and 1 chair. The TV was rather small for the room (maybe 32"), no closet, no dresser drawers, there's a short clothes rack on the wall with a few hangers, plenty of shelf space to store clothes, no iron, no coffee maker, and no facial tissue. They provide standard toilet paper, bar soap, ice bucket with liner bag, plenty of clean towels, and disposable plastic cups. The town is great and I will be staying here again on my next trip to Death Valley. Ryolite ghost town is really cool (definitely more to it than you see in online videos). The burros roaming the town are very charming. My dog enjoyed the local park. Food options are good (I had Mel's diner, Smokin J's BBQ, and Happy Burro Chili). What really won me over was the people of this town. The locals are very friendly and willing to help if you're in need. After off-roading the previous day in Death Valley, my truck decided to have a pretty nasty suspension failure when I was leaving the next morning. The nearest towing service in Amargosa was booked for the day and couldn't help till the next day. Locals seen my situation and came to the rescue with the tools I didn't have on hand and helped to get me back on the road. I was able to drive home with no tow or expensive repair bill.
