Hair in shower

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! checked in and the front desk lady was nothing but rude. Went to my room decided to get ready to take a shower looked in the shower and there were hairs from the previous person, he room smelled like dogs, and the floor was filthy . Went to the front desk to let her know and she acted like I was putting her out, I was eventually moved to another room. The next room as well again hairs in the shower from someone else, filthy floors, dirty toilet. Do not stay at this property.

Gave up on that top blanket.

The only reason I don't give this place a one star is the old gentleman (forgot his name. Prob 70+ years old) at the front desk is very very friendly. Great guy to talk to. He deserves 5 stars. It was a last min decision to stay in Bend for one night and most places were full so we ended up here. I never expect much from motels, but regardless of the cost (and this place is also not cheap anyway), cleanliness should be very essential. Our room was not clean, and I was greeted by long hair on my bed. As I inspected closely, I found lots of stains (most likely body fluid or grease) on my bed sheet and blanket. Soon I realized there is a ghetto strip club right next to this motel, and I couldn't help but think people came to this place for ONS and made a big mess. My bed was totally disgusting and I wonder if they really change the bed when customers leave. I didn't use the top cover at all because it was too dirty, but I still felt like I was covered in cum sleeping in this bed. I literally didn't move my body at all the whole night, no joke. We still left tips as we left because we are good customers although our experience was not good. I'd give up on the TV, fridge and whatever hardware they offer in exchange for a clean room/bed.

Dog friendly!!! Maximum of two dogs, no weight restrictions or extra fees.

We drove all the way from the Bay Area (California), so we did a bit of looking around before we settled on staying here. I know that there are quite a few other options in Bend, but having one large and one medium dog in tow makes it especially complicated. We weren't looking to break the bank nor were we planning on spending a majority of our time in our room. With that said, I was extremely pleased with our stay here. I've never stayed at a motel 6 before and honestly, I didn't know what to expect before we arrived. The room looked recently renovated. On top of our two queen beds (at no extra charge from one King), there was a mini fridge, microwave, mounted TV, and even a small table and two chairs! This was our first time bringing our two dogs on an actual road trip. Despite all of the nuances that occurred during the trek to Bend, the room was the saving grace of the trip. The man behind the desk was very nice. We had reserved a room for two nights but after the extremely long day that we had coming up, we didn't want to stay the extra night. After calling the front desk, they issued us a refund once we stopped by there. I was so relieved and we ended up picking up dinner and eating in our room to spare ourselves any more issues with the dogs. I also really appreciated the fact that he set us up in a room right in front of a patch of grass so that we didn't have to venture far to let our dogs do their business and pick up after them. In short, despite the trials and tribulations that our dogs put us through, motel 6 made the trip much more pleasant. I know that the area can look a bit questionable with the businesses across the street, but we didn't run into any issues with any people staying at the motel or otherwise. For the price, I feel that you're definitely getting your money's worth. So if you're traveling with two dogs, consider staying here because it's a nice place to recharge your batteries for a long road trip. The only thing that I was bummed about was that there were no toiletries or hair dryer.

Aaron at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure my stay with my kids was excellent, after a scheduling error he was able to fix the error and give us an even better room at no extra charge! Highly recommend! Customer service!

Rooms look newly remodeled

Cheap and clean. 5 stars for what it is. If you want all the bells and whistles you have to pay more for it. Clean newly remodeled rooms. New paint, new flooring. Smells clean. Plenty of pillows and towels. Free coffee in the lobby, Internet, tiny soaps... There is a pool. Nice flat screen TV. No continental breakfast, no coffee maker in your room, no shampoos or lotions. Ect... No extras. This seems to be the best hotel in Bend in this price range.

The floor was dirty. The microwave was not clean, something had spilled down the front of it and they did not clean it before we arrived.

Not much to expect from a motel that doesn't charge pets. Good stay. Rooms were clean and organized, no shampoo though.

Traveling with a pet can sometimes feel like a hassle, but here, it felt like my dog was just as welcomed and pampered as I was. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted my dog with genuine warmth, offering treats, a cozy dog bed, and even special amenities that made the stay feel thoughtful and personalized. It wasn't just "pet-tolerant"--it was truly pet-celebrating. The attention to detail made a huge difference, and it was clear they go above and beyond for guests with furry companions. Beyond that, the hotel itself is beautiful--modern, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The rooms are spacious, the beds are luxurious, and everything feels high-end without being pretentious. If you're traveling with your dog and want a place that treats both of you like VIPs, the Oxford Hotel is hands down one of the best choices out there. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Bend again! Also, the coffee in the room was excellent!!

The Oxford Hotel has nice rooms and a great location, but unfortunately the customer service really…read moreovershadowed the experience. I accidentally left personal items in the room and am 100% certain they were left there. I contacted the hotel multiple times and they kept telling me they would follow up--but no one ever did. I never received a return call like they promised, a resolution, or any form of compensation, which was extremely disappointing for a hotel at this price point. On top of that, the staff I interacted with came across as rude and dismissive rather than helpful. A little accountability or basic courtesy would have gone a long way. For example I had to call down to the front desk 3 times in one morning just to get someone to bring toilet paper up to our room. For comparison, I had a much better overall experience at the Hampton Inn in Bend, where the service felt more professional and guest-focused. This is the hotel I usually stay at and it's always been a good experience, but this time I wanted an upscale experience since it was over New Years and I love an upscale hotel experience. I travel a lot and this was the worst experience I have had in a long time. The whole stay was very disappointing from the time we checked in, to our dining experience at their restaurant (they gave us a salad with croutons so hard they almost broke our tooth), clear up to the point we checked out. The rooms may be nice, but customer service matters more--and that's where this stay fell short.

I recently stayed here as I was driving back from Spokane to California. I'm actually sad to say…read morethat I only had one night here as I really loved the vibe of the place and would have loved to spend more time at the hotel. I knew of the McMenamins line of hotels due to a friend who had taken me to their Edgefield property when I was visiting. They had described the place as an adult Disneyland and that's a pretty good description for it. It had so many things going on above and beyond the hotel itself. So, when I saw that there was a McMenamins in Bend, OR I decided to try it out. It was a little hard to figure out where the main entrance was as I arrived in town when it was dark out. I managed to find a parking spot quickly, but I noticed as the evening went on it was packed with cars. The hotel is located on a corner toward the end of the downtown area and it's an easy, well lit walk to shops and restaurants. But, there are so many options to eat and drink at the hotel that you don't need to leave if you don't want to. The main part of the hotel where you check in has a rustic look to it. I hadn't made reservations as I was trying to see how far I could get toward home before stopping. It was a Sunday night and thankfully they had an opening. The two people at the front desk were very nice and helpful and I was able to get a room in the main building. As a solo, female traveler I felt very safe and comfortable not only in the hotel but in the town as well. I also found out that not only do they accept dogs, but they accept large dogs. And the bartender I spoke with said the town is very dog friendly. Although my dog wasn't with me on this trip I would love to return with him. My room was a decent size. It had a lot of different lighting options so it could have been very bright in there if I preferred or I could keep it more dimly lit. They make their own coffee, so they had four packets of coffee out (two with caffeine and two decaffeinated), a small coffee maker and some cream and sugars. I happened to get a room that was ADA compliant, so the bathroom was huge with a large walk/roll in shower. It was a lot of white tile and it was spotless. I was so tired and the room was so comfortable I would have been happy just staying in all evening. The grounds have several bars, a hidden speakeasy, a movie theater and a restaurant. So, if you decided to stay at the hotel then you would have plenty to keep you occupied. The patios had tons of heaters, so it was still pleasant to sit outside on a cold night. I was right next to the lobby, so I was a little worried it would be loud and it wasn't. I was also right next to where they set out a coffee station in the morning, which was convenient. The bed was comfortable and I couldn't have asked for more. I definitely plan on returning and staying longer, so I can take advantage of all the amenities they have to offer.

It was perfect because the weather was great, and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony listening to the amphitheater music in the evenings. If you have family that wants to go to bed before 10 p.m., the upstairs loft bedroom is perfect as it is quite soundproof. The downstairs had a bedroom and the bathroom plus a living room area. The room was very comfortable. The hotel has 3 floors and only one elevator, so sometimes we had to wait to get to and from our room. The lobby was nice and cozy. There is a fireplace and a small convenience store where you could get complimentary house coffee and iced water. They also had a container filled with dog treats and leashes. I also saw a few bikes outside that could be rented daily. The pool and hot tub were inside for year-round enjoyment, and the gym was perfect for a light workout. All the equipment worked and it was new and clean. The restaurant was definitely a hidden gem for breakfast. The woman who cooked the food on the weekday mornings was awesome. She sang while she cooked, and her food was that good. I ate way more than I wanted because it all looked great and was very fresh. Well worth the $14.00, or $4.00 if you had a voucher. Every morning, the selection was just a little different. The parking was good and you must put the plaquar in your window because if there is an event going on at the amphitheater, they will tow cars from the lot. The location is great for walking along the Deschutes River or doing a little eating or shopping in the Old Mill District. It is also a short walk to downtown Bend for other sightseeing.

My other complaint would be the fact that they didn't say anything ahead of time about the pool and spa being out of order, not listed on the site, not listed in the email not listed in anything. If I would've known that, I actually would've picked a different hotel. They did have a sign saying that you could go to one of their sister properties and use their Facilities, but the one with the hot tub was nowhere even near this location. You would have to drive to it. Hotel itself was clean, and they had the toothpaste I forgot to pack... but the beds truly are extremely awful. My other complaint would be just how loud the HVAC system was. Every time the AC kicked on it woke me up.
