As a local, I have never needed to stay at this hotel, but I did recently use the banquet facilities. What a dump. The one bathroom that serves all of the public facilities had a toilet that flushed continuously. There was trash around the property. There was no ventilation in the banquet room. Initial impression is what sticks. Although I did not expect much, I definitely did not expect to be placed in 2 rooms that smelled like commercial cleaners. First room we could not stand the scent. The second smelt like someone had just finished smoking a few cigarettes in there. We asked management there if smoking is allowed and she said no. It was a last minute stay and I had a pet with me so this was better than nothing. I picked this place based on the reviews on Yelp, Tripadvisor, etc and they said this was a good place for a motel. Here's my take on it: Negatives: - Cigarette burns on the blankets - Broken phone and lighting - Loud neighbors - There's smell of weed in the hallways sometimes - Parking absolutely sucks. There's too few parking spots and if you get here or move your car at night, you'll end up having to park in the back of the building (Shady, dangerous-looking, no entrance) Neutral: - No breakfast. My uncle stayed here and his room was broken into, items were taken. The screen was bent and the window had been forced open. He told the front desk and they said they would get back with him... long story short Corporate said they are doing nothing about the situation, it's completely up to the manager, the manager stopped returning his calls. This place is disgusting. The nicer part of the hotel (which is what you see on the photos) was unavailable according to the unfriendly male associate working at the check-in desk on 8/27 around 7:15pm . I noticed everyone in line in front of us had some issue with him when they had to deal with him. We were told our room was in the back building. The exterior was faded and had chipped paint. The interior hallway smelled of urine. We also noticed several sketchy men sitting outside rooms that appeared to be high on meth. The room had fecal matter spread on the wall in our room's entry way. The bathroom floor tile grout was stained heavily and I would not have felt safe walking on the floor without socks. The bottom of the bathtub had a hole with mold growing out of it. I asked the same company rep to switch to the newer side, but was told that we would have to get a brand new reservation and would not be refunded what we prepaid. I do a great deal of traveling for business and leisure. For my one or two night stays I have consistently chosen Motel 6. I left the one in Carson and found a Holiday Inn in nearby Torrance. At check-in we signed up as Holiday Inn members and look forward to giving them our business for all future trips. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! If I can give a NO star, I definitely would. I made a huge mistake here by trying to save money, sometimes spending more money (Doubletree) would probably give me less hassle than anything. I made reservation for this place on 8/6 for 8/9. I get there on 8/9 and they have nothing under my name for any stay at their hotel. I check my bank account to show them that they are holding my funds for my room and lo and behold, they charged my card already on 8/6. The girl behind the counter was no help at all. She was very unprofessional and rude!! She kept saying, I don't have your name here at all!!! You have no reservation here at all............but I don't know why we charged your account!!! Really???? You don't know? Maybe your hotel are thieves in disguise? My confuse self saying: Your motel charged my card already, so how do you not have any of my info at all? She just stood there sighing and then kept saying, I don't know.................OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She did take my number for her manager Janine Khan to contact me. Weeks went by and I never heard from her. I contacted her and all she could say is, i'm sorry there's nothing I can do for you!!! No apologies what so ever. She was rude and unprofessional by lying to me that she has an emergency call on the other line and had to go, because she didn't want to hear me talk anymore!! This place has the worse costumer service and the workers are rude as hell. They look like they dont want to be bothered with questions at all!! Yuk. Yuk. I don't feel safe here. Smoking is allowed inside, which is gross. I've smoked for 10 years but never inside! No wonder there is no carpet except for the halls which are trashed every morning. I was kept awake all night by a young adult Party with rap blaring all night. I called the front desk 100 times but no one answered. I was too scared to leave my room and go find someone at 1 am. I finally went and saw a security guard who followed me back and when the "adults" asked asked who "ratted" them out and he pointed to my door! ( yes I was watching trough the peep hole ). I came here on a trip for a concert. 1. We got there early for check in and they let us in to our room anyways 2. It was a group of three and i was already cringing at the thought that i had to share my bed but, a worker there offered to give us another queen bed with out having to ask. I had a problem with how loud it was there. i mean i would have imagined someone would go and tell the people across the hall from us to knock it off after all it was after 11pm and they still had their door open having a party which ticked me off but i dozed off after some effort. First time i've ever checked into a motel 6. Online reservations were very simple and easy to use. After completing my online reservation, I called to confirm and everything was fine. Upon arriving, the front desk was very welcoming. She gave me easy instructions of where to park and where to enter. Although, when I tried to enter the back way, one of the guests did not have her dog on a leash and it took me longer than expected to get to my room. I think they should require dog owners to have their dogs on leashes! After about 10 or 15 minutes, I finally got to my room. The room looked very clean and tidy. No odors and didn't seem to have any dirt on the floor. The bathroom was fully stocked with clean towels and a fresh roll of toilet paper. The waterworks worked just fine. The AC was perfect, especially on a hot day like today. The linens were soft and very clean. There is a refrigerator in the room, but no microwave. Each bag has two pillows, but you can easily request more if needed. The only problem I have staying here isn't really an issue with the place, but so much more with the other guests staying here. It's 8 PM and it seems that my room was place near some intoxicated guests that like to slam their doors left and right. I called the front desk and the guy who answered was very kind and told me he would look into it. So far so good, I haven't heard anymore slamming. But hey, the night is young! So overall, the accommodations aren't too shabby considering it is a Motel 6. The TV reception isn't very good and one of the lights does not work. Still, those aren't too big a deal. For the LA area, I thought the price was good. The place was clean and updated from previous motel 6 hotels I've stayed in. I stayed in the back part, which was a little confusing to find the room. It was kinda loud in the morning with people shuffling. I saw (and heard) a lot of families staying at hotel. Hotel cleaning knocked twice in the morn, even tough the "do not disturb" sign was up. This is the cleanest Motel 6 i've been to so far. The housekeepers & maintenance men are friendly. When you're in your room you dont hear the people above you or next to you. The only time you hear people is when they're in the hallway which also means when you're walking down the hallway you can hear people in their rooms very clearly. read more

The desk clerk rejected my license on my iPhone. He refused to look at any thing else. He told me I couldn't check in and that there was nothing he could do. He said he was canceling my room. I asked for the manager and he said she wasn't available. He refused to allow me to talk to anyone else. He suggested I go to a different Motel 6. He said they can't violate that policy. He was on the phone and stepped away. He was probably talking to no one. I asked if I could speak to her and he said no! He wouldn't let a 59 year old woman check in. He was upset someone else had paid the bill and did not want me to have it. I am a frequent guest and have stayed at least 10 - 15 nights over the last 6 weeks. My name, phone, identification, credit card and history staying there are all In the system . I thought I was a valued guest. He belittled me. I was so happy that I was going to be sleeping in a bed for the next 4 nights, taking daily baths, ... He tried to act like I was committing a crime and I didn't meet the criteria . I've stayed here many times. It's a nice place to stay and there is a mall right across the street with lots of eating places. It's safe and pretty quiet. They are one of the few places that does not charge for your dog to stay with you. The staff is usually pretty friendly and they are on top of things. This is why I'm so surprised that this visit was not a four star visit. I went to do laundry, there's no soap or dryer sheets in the dispenser. The girl at the front desk can't do anything because the maintenance manager has the keys and he's not around. I had to go to Target at 8:30 pm for detergent and softener. The washing machine was not working properly and started on a HOT cycle with my delicate clothes in it. The buttons would not let me switch the cycle and the person who was standing in for the maintenance manager was called...repeatedly to stop the machine and get it open. He was rude and said that he didn't know how to work these machines since it wasn't his regular job. We finally get it open and my clothes is sitting in HOT water. I put it in another machine and pushed the delicate setting, which should be cold (it is on my machine at home) I get warm water. They need a guide so people can select the proper temperature. When I checked out the auditor, I assume it was the motel auditor, was manning the front. I asked for a receipt. He said he might not be able to give me one since he had just run the audit. I told him I needed to leave and a receipt was necessary his response was, that's not my problem. So, of course, when he said the computer didn't want to issue a receipt my response was that's not my problem, I need a receipt. He finally gives me a receipt...for 1 night. We were there for 7 nights. Finally, he gives me a proper receipt and makes another stupid remark. My response was, see that wasn't so hard. This man should not be working with the public in this position. All the way out the door hes talking crap about how rude I am. I finally said to him, no worries I'll call the main office. So far, no response from them. I will say that most of the front desk people I've dealt with are very nice, talkative and they are welcoming. Cheapest hotel in the area, and you get what you pay for. The Bad The shower rod was broken and hanging down a bit, so the shower curtain wouldn't close. The freezer in the mini fridge was iced over so you couldn't really use it. The side doors are always unlocked and open, despite signs saying that you're supposed to use your key after hours... Their business room is a joke. Their computers are very limited, and only use IE. It crashed on me 5 times when I was just trying to upload a document to gmail. There are no "do not disturb" sign, and telling the front desk I did not want housekeeping only worked half the time. Despite the website saying you had to tell them in advance if you want late check out, the front desk insisted we had to call no sooner than 1 hour before check out to "see if they had availability". The walls are thin, I could hear people checking in despite being 3 rooms away from the desk. The Meh They say that pets stay free, but they also say there's a $10 pet fee... I'm not used to rooms with hardwood floors, not my cup of tea. You can especially feel how the floor is uneven/bulging, but I guess its cleaner than a carpet. They do not serve free breakfast, only coffee. The OK There's plenty of restaurants, shops, and a small mall nearby. The bed was A+, I'm tempted to ask if I can buy one of the pillows. They have laundry machines on site, $2 to wash, $2 to dry. They have a pretty pool. Overall, the staff was nice. read more

Definitely the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I called the reservation number and told them I would need a room for early Saturday morning, as me and girlfriend were arriving 2-3am and wanting to check out on Sunday morning. I explained this 3 times, clarifying each time; check in 2-3am Saturday morning, check out Sunday morning. The person on the phone assured me everything was taken care off. We arrive at 3am, approach the front desk and ask to check in, showing my tickets. The person there explains that the room wouldn't be ready until 5am. Now, I had been driving 6 hours and was a little irate. I explain to him what I had been told, and show him my reservation with the comments explaining when I was arriving. He told me "there was a miscommunication, I apologize, we will put you in another room. We just need to cancel that reservation and put you in this new one." I clarify again, 3 times. He said yes. Ok fine, sounds good. We go to sleep and get woken up by someone saying we needed to check out. I go down to the front desk and explain the situation to the lady there. I show her the previous reservations with the notes, and she tells me whoever set up the new one did not put that info in the comments, and the cut off for the new day was 5-7am, and since I checked in at 3am, no new day for me. They tried to get ahold of the person who checked me in, but no avail. So, I'm sitting there arguing with her. She says I understand but those are the rules. I ask to speak to a manager. 1. Apparently there is only 1 manager. And 2. They dont work weekends. What kind of hotel management is that?? So I ask for a corporate number. I call them and explain what's going on. All I got out of it was "I called the front desk. The manager is out. I'll make a claim so corporate can review it. " After all this, we just leave and were late for our event. I'm editing my review after following up on my original issue with the manager of this hotel. I had stayed here the night before leaving for a cruise for my bachelor party. Only 4 of us needed to stay the night, so we got 2 rooms with 2 beds each - one paid for by my brother and one by my best man. The hotel was in the middle of a remodel, but the rooms we were in were nice and clean. The staff seemed rather over their job, but for a place that charges ~$70/night, I doubt they're being paid too well. We had a major issue of being double charged for my best mans card, and triple charged for my brothers. The general manager, Jainine, has been very helpful in correcting the problem. The reason for this happening, so we're told, is because the hotel was in between credit processing companies. Apparently the agent at the front desk manually entered the credit card info the day we were there, and the info was kept for proceasing later. When the new system was implemented, the info was apparently entered again - hence the multiple charges. The issue is being resolved, but I would be extremely careful in the future. read more

Also the outlet was completely non-functional in the bathroom, not just a reset, it had no juice. I picked this place because I stayed here a couple years ago ! Well this time it seemed ok when I checked in but at 2:15 am we heard really loud banging like someone was trying to kick in a door near by ... the staff came a few minutes after and just asked the person was everything ok , which it was only obvious someone was fighting ! Was very clean and nice on appearances. I gave my review because of the crowd that is allowed to stay or visits there. We arrived at 330 pm and had no issues with the crowd that checked in at that time. Business type, family type people. As it got later the crowd got rough. Thug types hanging around outside with loud thumping music emanating from their vehicles. When I walked to our room upon arrival the odor of pot was billowing from the room next door. It continued throughout the night despite our complaints. When my husband went to the lobby later that night he ran into another one of the upstanding guests that was thuggish and had tattoos sprawled across his entire face. Very good location about three miles from stub hub but.... don't forget your shampoo and hair dryer. This is a super no frills motel. Had difficulty getting list of channels available on tv and many times the front desk does not answer phone. Is clean. No breakfast included. Vending machines don't work on some items.
