Everything. Television not working on any input. Air conditioner needs to be updated. Beds are ok, but dirty and stained pillow cases, really? I wanted to stay close to my grandkids for a night, but I guess that I should have paid $75 instead of $55 and got much better accommodations a few more miles away. Like the old saying goes "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me". There won't be a second time. Update: Normally, I wouldn't add to a review but people need to know before booking it. I am not exaggerating when I say that it looks like the only thing that they do is replace the towels, soap, and empty the garbages in the room. The floors haven't been vacuumed in what looks like years and there was hairs in the tub and sink, as well as misc items left in the space where you are supposed to put you clothes, like plastic bags, old shoelaces, etc. read more

Only reason this establishment doesn't get 5 star because there isn't an elevator for a 3-level motel. The staff were helpful in that they brought our luggage up. Our room 213 was huge! I had to wear glasses to watch TV huge! Being so far away, the remote didn't really work, and one would have to get up walk halfway to work the remote. The refrigerator and microwave weren't used therefore couldn't comment. Everything's else works in the room otherwise. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would . We arrived after a long flight and the start of our journey home . We were tired and had very limited options. This place offers no internet, no breakfast at all. They claimed coffee but they had no cups or even fresh coffee. The rooms were unkept . The hallways smelled like filth. The ceiling in the bathroom had unfinished drywall. The walls had dirt and grime on them. Behind the nightstand was about an inch of dust. The bathtub had a few hairs from past guests. The parent company of this motel has apparently never been on site or has decided to throw in the thread barren, off color towel. Crashed here for the night because we were dead tired. After reading the reviews this morning, wished we would have kept going to find something else. They were spot on. Guy at check in was very nice. Hall ways and rooms have a strange/not good smell. Very basic accommodations. Bath towels all need to be replaced since they are stained and worn. Beds were ok, Blankets would have been nice. All they have are top sheets and a very thin bedspread, which don't seem that clean. It was enough for us to take the edge off of our tiredness and continue on after a not great night's sleep. $72.00 total for the night for two beds. read more

I'm conflicted with this review, but I have to be honest. Stayed here as a budget wedding party option when we had too many people for a suite at another hotel and it was close to the reception. This Motel 6 is off the Drums I-80 exit on Rt 93 heading towards Hazelton, and is up a small driveway with plenty of parking. Building is three stories with no elevators I could find. To start, price for two nights was higher then what was quoted on the website with tax by 15 dollars, not sure what caused that but I didn't argue due to needing the room. There was an accent/language barrier with the front desk person; I largely could not understand what he was saying. Check-in was otherwise relatively smooth and they do make a photocopy of your ID. Checkout is it 11AM. Rooms are lean, let's not joke about that and they have wood floors. They are already showing some wear and tear, saw some shelving rust and there were permanent marks on the tub. Our toilet also at times did not stop running and would require a manual reset. Shower was also weak with poor pressure. The walls are also thin and we could hear some movement from outside the room. You get two pillows per bed and asking for more can be a challenge. Good items included having a mini fridge and a microwave. Our TV was an LG and it was gorgeous. The ladies who were cleaning the rooms were nice. If you have a situation that you need a bed and shower for the night, it's ok. Otherwise not my first or second option for a hotel. read more

If you are a Racoon you might like it but humans should stay away.. Hair ,Dirt ,Bugs this place has it all. Should have known when the door into the building did not lock(Probably so all the long term "tenants" could get in). The hallways reminded me of the projects , the room was worse. I was tired from driving 14 hours or I would have left. The office was locked in the AM so I threw my key away. Do yourself a favor and sleep in your car. You have been warned....... read more

Great exercise room; the stairways. I think this three story building was built before elevators were invented as there is none and also before vacuums too because it looks like the rugs have never seen one. And maybe also before washing machines or hot water too as the towels & sheets had plenty of stains. Though, it was cheap. Staff was friendly. read more

I am here now. Do not come here! The tub faucet won't stop running, it's permanently on. I called the front desk and they said there's nothing they can do, because they have no maintenance staff (?!). They offered that they could shut off the water to the room completely ??? They say they will not discount the room, or offer us another so I guess we just have a permanent waterfall. No screen in the windows (incredibly stupid in a pet-friendly room on the third floor). There is what looks like bloody spit on the floor. Dead flies and dirt everywhere. The phone has what appears to be poop smeared on the cord. In complete honesty I can't say anything bad about this place. Stayed here several times now. Every time the people are super friendly, and it's always been a fairly priced place to stay. The only thing I really can say is it needs some renovations; It's out of date. When we stayed here in early September it was a rather warm week and our air conditioner wasn't working, we called the front desk and someone came to fix it in less than 20 minutes. In 30 minutes the gentleman had a new air. Conditioning unit installed and our room was cooling off. The gentleman who fixed it was Will (same name as my husband so I remembered him) and was so friendly, really went out of his way, and really knew what he was doing. He came up and looked at it and tested whatever he needed and just said they didn't have the part to fix it right there and it was an older A/c so he'd replace the whole thing in a few minute. I wish I could get him or someone like him to work on my own house! Overall I can't say anything bad about this place other than it needing a face lift... anytime we've stayed here it's been more than sufficient and comfortable, it's never been gross or anything of the sort. I think everyone needs to keep in mind when considering and reviewing this place is that this is a budget motel like all motel 6's and this isn't the Waldorf Astoria... it's a safe, comfortable, and clean place to stay PLUS they have coffee in the morning, I personally can't ask for more out of a budget motel. They also seem to allow reasonable pets, but still keep everything very clean and there isn't hair all over everything like some places that allow pets. Room was really dirty. Nightstand had sticky juice in it from previous guest. Fire alarm was missing. Toilet was stained so bad looked like it was permanently full of crap. Light cover missing on bathroom light. The vent fan in the bathroom was covered in dust looks like it had not been cleaned in years. Several trash can on premises were full of empty beer cans. Fan in bathroom was so loud it would wake you up. Walls are paper thin the fan in the neighbors bathroom was also very loud. Would not recommend wish you could give less than 1 Star. read more

swell mattresses unlike the pocono resort center, as i have back and problems. rooms were spartan, as if we were in czechoslovakia. everything in the room was minimalist, which encouraged us to maintain organization. other guests resembled somewhat menacing folk from either penitentiaries, homeless shelters, or even psych hospitals. the corn fields were divine and the locals had a swell attitude. elect trump signs were widespread, as well. no coffee available to guests, whatsoever. i was concerned that one of the clerks must have had marital problems of some sort. she never even cracked a grin and i prayed for her. an attentive young man from the vicinity of mumbai was attentive and professional, as well. read more

Myself and my Odyssey of the Mind team reserved 5 rooms a week in advance. When we walked through the door and gave the man our reservation name, he told us there were no reservations under that name. He told us that he never talked to us (which makes me feel he is the only employee). He also said all rooms were filled. Also, when my coach asked to use the restroom they had to unlock a set of doors to go through. It is said to be newly renovated but the staff is not helpful. The man at the desk then recommended us to the Hampton Inn up the road. Overall I am extremely disappointed to have wasted 10 minutes arguing about what happened. So I'm using this follow-up review to respond to the general managers comments, because he (I use "he" because I assume that this is Manager Dave) has made some accusation to which I would feel remiss if I did not respond publicly. I would like to start off by saying that a majority of what this person has said is outright false. Just blatant lies which I'm pretty sure he's using in an attempting to discredit me. One of the reasons I found manager Dave's comments so offensive is that I am married to a woman who, until recently, was a foreign national (she is now a US citizen) and I know the type of crap she's had to put up with from people like manager Dave that treat her crummier simply because she has a slight accent. I find it infuriating to think of how many job applicants, current employees and other guests may have been slighted due to the fact that this guy had a problem with their national origin. Clearly the manager realizes that his views are unpopular, otherwise why bother to lie. I have an American accent, I was born and raised in New Jersey and presently live in a diverse community I'm proud to be a part of. Perhaps the manager concluded that due to the fact that I speak with an American accent that I share his nativist viewpoint (I do not), who knows. To be honest I will probably never know why this manager said what he said. This whole experience has been a little surreal so I'm just going to leave the psychoanalysis to the reader and move on. I would also like to clarify that I have called this establishment twice. Not many times just twice. Once, when we arrived and a second time on the Monday following our failed stay. I don't know who else might have called irate with said manager but it was not me. I was certainly annoyed but I did not use profanity, and the interactions described did not occur. Also I don't know who kicked the hotel door. We failed to see said disturbance, but far be it from me to call the writer a liar on this count, perhaps it was another disgruntled customer (I'm sure this place has no deficiency of those). I'm more of a writer of reviews/customer service rather than a kicker of doors. After all the door didn't cancel my reservation, the manager did so I'm not exactly clear on what purpose that would serve but hey it's this guy's fairy tale so I guess he should tell it as you he sees fit (I would have added more dragons, but to each their own). I would like to acknowledge that I have reposted this review in numerous locations (as the manager notes in his response). My justification is simple I wish to share this experience far, wide and quickly. I'm not clear why the manager takes offense to this. If one of the other review sites wish me to vary wording for their site I will gladly do so but I would seek to remind readers that this is a review of the same experience and not an academic treatise. I am pleased that the respondent saw my letter to corporate and I must admit I found the experience of writing it was most cathartic. I think you'll find it was a bit longer and more colorful than this post, but if the respondent did not enjoy all three pages I could see how they failed to read it in it's entirety. I was told by Motel 6 customer service by form letter that the local management would be getting in contact with me within 15 days. I assumed it would be via letter or e-mail but I must admit I never expected to receive a response via Yelp (as this is the first I've heard a reply). I am a bit surprised that Motel 6 would notify me via Yelp that I had been placed on a DNR list by some local franchisee but hey I guess they are trying something new. I probably would have never attempted to stay at a Motel 6 ever again, but it is good to know that if I'm ever lobotomized and manage to forget this experience that, according to this employee of Motel 6 (who now seems to be speaking for Motel 6 on the national level), that I will be prevented from making such a horrible mistake again. Granted my previous attempt to stay here was unsuccessful so I'm unclear as to how this changes my relationship with Motel 6, but whatever floats their boat I guess. In closing, if the respondent thought that these libelous comments would get me to take down my review, then they are greatly mistaken. I hope others have found my review helpful and I think this hotel's response is very telling. If you're expecting your reservation to be honored by Motel 6, particularly this one, you're taking a real chance. If you're in the mood to gamble, stick to the casinos and give this place a pass. P.S. - We actually travelled to India, around New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, for a friend's wedding. It was a very pleasant experience which I would recommend to anyone who has the chance. You'll be happy to know that all of our hotels kept our reservation as promised so I would gladly recommend these establishments over this place any day of the week. read more

This place was awful! We have been driving cross country from California staying at motel 6 the whole way. We figured since this one was newly opened it would be good. Man were we wrong. There were bugs everywhere, the floors were so dirty that my feet were black from walking on them, the tub was old and cracked, there was saw dust and drywall dust all over the bathroom floor, there were stains on the chairs and curtains and the toilet was dirty. The only redeeming factor was that the bed was throughly clean. My wife being 8 months pregnant was too exhausted after our 6th day on the road to try and find a new hotel but if we hadn't been so desperate and exhausted we would have run away from here. How the hell can a place be Newley opened and already look like that. The middle eastern man that checked me in was also incredibly rude. Over all, stay away. read more

My mother and I spent seven days at Motel 6 our stay was wonderful ( we drove in from Texas )... Everyone was nice and accommodating. whatever you needed they took care of you then right and there. The rooms were clean and updated.... We felt safe there and didn't worry about our truck being broken into... Very dog Friendly... To start with, the hotel room was very clean which is something I appreciate. Everything was nice and new including a new large television. You should know this property seems to be in the middle of nowhere. If you're driving through and need a place to sleep it works well but there's almost no amenities around We loved the fact that the Wi-Fi was free. I don't mind paying the three dollar fee at other Motel 6 is so much, the problem is when you have small children and their Internet connected devices. You have to pay the fee for every device you connect. If I have an iPhone, a laptop into children's devices. I have to buy four times the Internet. The fact that they had free Wi-Fi here let us connect all of our devices and that made everyone very happy. The only real negative score: the ice machine was out of order which was extraordinarily frustrating and the fact that the doors to get in the building, Are open 24 hours with no key card required to open. This place was absolutely disgusting. I felt like I was in the middle of the Amazon Jungle when I entered the side door of the building. There were about 20 species of large bugs swarming around the hallway light, getting entangled in large spider webs. The hallway smelled like garbage. The room was dark, dingy and depressing. Upon further inspection of the room, I found two small bugs crawling on the box spring and also saw other signs of bed bugs on the mattress. The box springs had bed bug feces, blood stains and other unknown colored stains on them as they were apparently stolen from a garbage dump. When I asked the front desk clerk for a refund due to bed bugs, he was very understanding, yet shockingly unphased by the bed bug situation, which leads me to believe it is common knowledge there. Run far, far away from this place. It would be more sanitary to sleep in a truck stop bathroom stall. read more

Had problems with my truck on a Sunday and had to spend the night Got towed to nearby Steve Shannon Auto Center Hotel manager (Bill) gave me a ride to pick up beers for Sun nite and gave us a ride to pick up the truck on Monday morning. NO CHARGE! Room was clean and comfortable. Great price. Staff was very accommodating. Free wi fi too!! They made a tough situation bearable! read more
