I will be contesting the charge with my bank! We found a used condom and lube in bedside table when we tried to find the phone to call the front desk because we were experiencing some sort of allergic reaction in the room. No response! The front desk clerk is highly over worked to the point where a sign is posted that he/she will return and to call a number if needed. Crazy! I have pictures of all of this if corporate is interested. We had to stop on early Sunday a.m. due to bad weather while traveling to see family for the holiday weekend and we're happy to have a bed at first. I think we stayed from midnight to 4 am until we started itching and sneezing and then found that lovely surprise! Ramada needs to pull this franchisee. The property is a mess and no amount of recarpeting is going to help over worked staff, overly used stairs and hallways and a rundown feel. It's just gross. read more

Significant improvement in this property. New bedding clean carpets new bath area tiles and commode. Exterior also looks clean. I have stayed here few times in past when weather got bad for driving. Reasonable rates and standard breakfast with waffle maker. They have added small lounge with beer packs to go on premises!! read more

This was a last minute place my boyfriend and I picked because it was cheap. It's more of a motel than a hotel. I made sure everything was clean in my room and it looked pretty good. No bed bugs or anything funky by the shower and toilet. We did find a condom under the bed though which was gross. I don't like that the windows are in this hallway so you literally have no privacy, and you also can't enjoy the sunlight which is a big thing for me. So all in all don't come here unless you need to. read more

I will be disputing this charge. I'm not a difficult person and have stayed in some pretty shitty places but for the price I paid for "Ramada" I couldn't believe it. First we aren't smokers and only room left was smoking so we took it. Shades were brown with some type of drippings/spots. I'm afraid to think what that would be. Floors dirty (would fire cleaning staff), carpets nasty, laundry room awful, bugs on stained carpet with cigarette butts on floor. Just look at pics. Do NOT stay here. read more

What a cesspool, never again the first room they gave us the tv didn't work and the room looked like it needed to be power washed and scrubs by a biohazard team. They the assigned us a new room on the second floor and the smell of urin in the hallway was horrific! The new room was also dirty and disgusting. DO NOT stay at this hotel. It is gross, it smells, your feet will stick to the carpet, there were bloodstains​ on the walls and the bathtub was dirty- never cleaned. IT was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We booked it late on Priceline​e and felt stuck with it- too tired to get another one. It was obviously a homeless shelter for many there with a few drug dealers dotted in. I saw 4 BMW amg's in the parking lot, so cmon lets be real they were dealing! Don't stay here. Had to wait an extra hour to go to our room. Staff would not let me use a different credit card to pay for room. Room was dirty, jacuzzi tub was filthy. No hair dryer as advertised. Called down to desk to get one and it took an hour for them to respond. No TV remote, plug by coffee maker did not work. Fridge in room was not clean. Feces was on the bathroom floor. Dead bugs in room. Was suppose to be a non smoking room but reeked of cigarette smoke. Handle in bathtub fell off. Continental breakfast was a joke. Dining room had old food on floor. A rag to wipe off tables was left on the table. Butter and cream cheese were not refrigerated and milk for cereal was not cold. Coffee was horrible. Yeah it's Ramada Hotel. One of the worst hotel you can stay in the carpet is old it smells the second you walk into the hotel the receptionist was nice she hoped that they didn't give my rooms away to somebody else so we checked in go to Upper Room and the room key does not accept the room so we have to go back to the desk and then I guess reactivate it and bring it back then it works you enter the room you smell cigarette all over microwave should be white but it was yellow lights works TV works bed sheets for old from 1970s so was the phone the iron and all the equipment that you find in here shower tub and the best part was the toilet seat was not allowing the bathroom door to close who would want to use that bathroom not me. The only reason I stayed here was there there was no other Hotel available for that night you might as well sleep in the car you know then sleeping here you probably feel comfortable in your car. This Ramada should definitely come up to the program and update this property from 1970s to 2017. You can find a motel that is in better condition than this Ramada Hotel read more

I had the worst stay ever in this hotel. It isn't the nicest hotel but it is affordable and the staff is nice. What is truly unforgivable however is the noise level of the bar at night. I didn't realize that the Ramada was a dance club and that my walls would be thumping with music all night. I seriously considered packing up my belongings at 1:00am and trying to find another hotel where I could actually get some sleep. I decided to use my disrupted sleep time to post on as many review sites as possible. I am willing to pay more to get a good night sleep and next time I will not be choosing the Hazleton Ramada. read more

We stayed here a few weeks ago when we attended an America concert in Jim Thorpe, PA. We will definitely NOT stay here ever again. The place was dated, dingy, unclean, and not in the best part of town. Our room was so dingy that we kept socks on our feet. We had a handicapped-accessible room apparently that had a special seat with arm rests on the toilet that was uncomfortable and too narrow to sit in comfortably. The carpet outside the room in the main walkway was disgustingly dirty and overall the lack of good cleaning practices for our room was ridiculous. The photos of the outside of this place make it look well-kept. It is not. Avoid this place. read more

I've read all the reviews from here and i have to disagree...i guess it was bad back then because of the renovation but when we came to this place, it was decent enough. For the affordable price that we paid for, it was ok. Im not saying it's like a 5-star hotel but the room was clean and decent. I just had to ask them to improve on the breakfast. It just doesn't get much worse than this... at least not unless you're in a sleazy hotel on a rundown strip somewhere. I don't know where to start... Dirty room, smelly hallway, overall feel of decay... I did not stay there. I can say that when I re-loaded my car and told the desk clerk I was leaving and wanted a refund, she was reasonably pleasant about it and seemed unsurprised. This is the most disgusting place ever. Not even 1 star. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, stay here. We hit a snow storm and had no choice as it was the only hotel in a 1 hour radius that had occupancy and we had just driven 11 hours straight and needed to get off the road. The lights did not work. When I looked at them, the sockets were hanging from the lamps!!! We ran the heat for hours and the place remained freezing!!! It smelled so bad - like someone lived their entire life smoking in there every day and then died. We slept in our clothes, in jackets, on top of the covers because we were scared to get IN the bed. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! This place doesn't even deserve one star. However the checkin clerks were very nice. This place is DIRTY and outdated. We walked in our room and it looked like no one cleaned it, the bed was okay but I felt dirty sleeping in it. The bathroom was very gross, looked like the floors were never cleaned and there was hairs every where; inside the tub was a dirty very used bath mat that was stucked to the tub and peeling up and you could see all the dirt under it. We could write our names in the dust on top of TV stand. The TV was very outdated and none of the stations came in clear. The floors looked like they never been vacuumed, and behind the end-tables were dirt. The HVAC unit was disgusting. I booked this this place from booking.com and read the reviews which weren't bad, I should of went on here first. Booking.com needs to take this place off their listings. There's only one other review so far for this horrible place, and it's right on the money. This was the only hotel within several miles than had a room available so we grabbed it. We figured it's a Ramada, national chain, how bad could it be? Oh god, where do I start? Dingy, smelly, depressing, and that was the lobby. When we drove around back to access our room, all the doors to the hotel were propped open. Nice security. A young woman at the front desk told us when we checked in that there had been some repair work done on the air conditioning unit but the paint was drying and the unit was working. Well when we got into the room, everything was covered with a layer of dust from sanding; the furniture, bedding, etc. Oh, and the bedding; pillows, blankets, sheets were old, frayed, really disgusting. It was late at night, there were no other rooms available, so we cleaned the surfaces with a wet cloth and got the hell out of there at first light. Horrible. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. Sleep in your car if you have to. This place is a pit. Dark, dingy, smelly and filthy. Pulled my questionably dirty bedspread down to find stains and pubic hairs on the sheets. Eew! When I called the front desk, they told me to come down and they'd give me new sheets...to put on myself. There is normally only one person on duty at a time, which means they're hardly ever at the front desk. The floors are filthy. The restaurant is closed. The pool is gross and closed. Complimentary breakfast consists of stale cereal, watered down OJ and baked goods from the Costco. The bar is only open when the bartender decides to show up. The grounds are littered and dirty. Cell phones don't work in the room, nor does WiFi. TV's are old. Washers and dryers don't work. Seriously folks, I wouldn't stay here again if it were free. read more
