If there was a a way to rate this facility with negative stars, I would do that!!! We drove all night from Maine. 14 hours and just needed a bed to crash in. We are in the Medina area for a family funeral. First of all I called them and told them of our estimated arrival time. Well, I was off by 2 hours because of traffic and hazardous road conditions. I had already paid in advance so we just needed to grab a key. Well they canceled our reservation and then booked us on the third floor. No carriage cart to help load our suitcases in. As soon as I walked in I began checking for bedbugs and the place was utterly disgusting!! I went down to the desk and asked for cleaning supplies. He gave me some face clothes and a hand towels no cleaning solution!! I wiped snot and hair out of sink and tub and scoured the toilet. My husband yells honey come and look at this! Puke or something gross was all over the floor! Dust and hairballs everywhere! Bugs dead and some still crawling!!! Just look at my pictures!! And when we left you couldn't help but notice the drug deals going on in the parking lot. DON'T STAY HERE !!! read more

I stayed overnight while driving cross country cuz it was the cheapest hotel around. Pros: * Okay for overnight only... shower, sleep & leave early. For $50+tax, you get a basic, decent room, fairly modern. * Shower water has great pressure & is plenty hot. Small soaps, thin but plenty of towels, a few plastic cups. * Front desk staff is pleasant & professional. She let me know that if I wanted to eat next door at Buffalo Wild Wings, I could show the key for a 15% discount. Same in the morning at a local breakfast chain. * M6's are not known for super comfy mattresses... they're bare bones basic, which is fine. My mattress was firm & comfy enough. 2 pillows were firm & enough. Cons: * Even during Covid, I don't think the room was thoroughly cleaned, meaning all surfaces, light switches, doorknobs, etc. Bring your own wipes with you. * My room smelled like stale smoke (not even a hint of any kind of cleaner) & the ketchup (or blood) stains on the dusty curtains led me to believe bare minimum is done to clean between stays, which is too bad. I turned on the heating unit & left it on continually to try to counteract some of the smell... it was 50% successful... still, for $50 & just an overnight stay, I didn't expect more. * All doors lock oddly... when you leave the room & close your door, you must wait 10-seconds for the green light to go out & the lock to engage, otherwise it doesn't lock. The regulars seem to think you need to slam the door (which might account for some of the noise... see below) & put the key into the lock again to get it to lock... several told me this. They're wrong... just close the door (quietly!) & wait a moment. * The guests are all very strange... many hang out in the lobby (5 at a time) & I believe live here. They are in & out of their rooms all night long, slamming doors, going to the lobby to stand & watch the TV (odd as they have TV in-room), visiting each other, going from room to room, talking loudly in the hallways. It might be that this is one of the M6's that's taken in homeless, halfway house & displaced tenants during the lockdown (many motels had to as per state laws) & there are large dogs running the halls off leash, as well. The 1st floor was like a party... & whomever was above me, either with kids or dogs or both jumping or wrestling on the floor, banging over & over... well, again, without Melatonin, I wouldn't have slept a wink. They did eventually quiet down late night, but heavy adult footsteps all night & very early morning were evident... it was annoying. Good to know: * There's an in-wall heater-a/c unit. It's noisy. I like it cuz it tuned out the noisy neighbors, so I could better sleep, but it does turn on-off at times & might drive some nuts. * Note: No fridge, m/w or coffee pot... during Covid, there are no amenities available at all, including lobby coffee. * This is 1 of the older M6's where entry is through front, back or side doors... you can't drive up to your room door & park in front of it. 2* out of 5. If cash conscious, for overnight, if you're not picky & a heavy sleeper, you'll be fine. I'd suggest taking Melatonin, otherwise, you may wish you went elsewhere. However, I wouldn't stay again. There's a Fairfield Inn across the street for $50+ more per night. read more

My mother and I shared a room at the Motel 6 in Medina, and were not disappointed. Our one-night stay was very reasonably priced, especially considering that the hotel has an indoor pool and hot tub. Our non-smoking room smelled fresh (as did the entire second floor), and the linens and bathroom were clean and well-kept. The indoor pool was large enough for about five or six children to enjoy at once, but not large enough for two adults to be in the pool at the same time as said children. The hot tub was pleasant and relaxing, despite the aforementioned children shrieking in the pool adjacent. Our only complaints were minor: the room did not have a refrigerator, the towels at the pool were small and not very thirsty, and the amenities did not include shampoo, conditioner, or lotion -- only soap. If I found myself staying overnight in Medina again, I would definitely consider staying at this Motel 6, although I would also research other possibilities. read more

One is way too high. Deserves a Minus 5. Why??????? Here it goes: Bed bugs. Yes. An infestation. Filthy rooms. Dirty uncleaned from previous visitor- toilet, shower and bath bathroom. Dirty floor. Dirty phone- looks like blood on the phone. Lights in the room flicker. Soap looks like it was in a storage closet for years. No complimentary shampoo. Towels had stains. Were rough and overused to the point of being rags. Cigarette smell came in the room somehow through the bathroom- connected to other rooms by the vents? Hallways stank like a MF'er. People hang out in the lobby at all hours. Police come to arrest people routinely. People live on the top floor- permanent residents. Incredibly loud. Louder than any motel or hotel I have ever stayed in. Dogs bark at night. You should skip based on the bedbugs alone. But it was weirdly fun and satisfying to recount this most ungodly of hotel stays. read more

Let me tell ya.... New, clean 8/10 I will give it that much it's clean and finished. Walls white Firnature white Blankets white Feels more like a cell in the pen. It is cheap but hell why not? Not like they put much money in it. We're not much to spend much on a room but will proudly spend 139.99 on the Hampton across the road!! Loss your sense of smell?? This place is perfect with some fresh scent as soon as you come in the door(no seriously) your relieved. Then you get a room and the halls smell a mixture of shit and wet dog. No wifi no computer at all. Front desk lady said the owner is too cheap to spend 3k on getting the pool fixed and warmed us not to go in the pool room. This place is pretty terrible. Here's a list: 7 different smells throughout the building Hot tub and pool are dirty Rooms are like hospital rooms-sterile, no carpet. Still cost us $84 The tile in our bathroom was broken all over the place The ac unit (which is physically in the room) was making crazy noises all night keeping us awake. No extras at all- no food, shampoo, coffee, only two towels (small and scratchy). The tv is tiny and is from the 80's We won't be coming back. read more

Not what was advertised at all!!! There was supposed to be a pool and we were told that it was down for repairs and upon further research found out that it's been down for a YEAR!!! THEN we decided to not stay after driving around for about an hour and politely asked if we could have a refund and were given an attitude by the front desk person as she told us their 20 minute policy which isn't posted anywhere and were told we should have been able to make up our minds in 20 minutes. sorry we just dropped off our stuff so we could go visit our grandparents. About the caliber you'd expect from a deep discount motel. Absolutely zero frills, not even shampoo, iron, or hair dryer in the room. Our single queen room was quite small but comfortable enough for what we paid for it. Biggest annoyances were that the tiles in our bath were all loose and no one did anything about the obvious rowdy party on our floor one night. Basically you get what you pay for here. read more

I stayed here two days back to back on a Friday and Saturday night. I asked for a non-smoking room, but half the rooms on the floor were smoking rooms and the entire hallway as well as my non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke. There are also no coffee makers in the room, which I didn't like. I like to have my coffee before I ever leave the room. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was a decent deal, but I don't like cigarette smoke. However, to save $50 per night on a room when it's nothing more than a crash pad for me, it might be worth putting up with some stale smoke. read more

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. My company , Grand Slam Imaging and I were staying at this "motel" to photograph The Ohio Cup tournament from Oct.9,2015 - Oct. 11 , 2015. Don't let the remodeled building fool you, this place is a dump. Greeted by a she beast that snarled her way through our check in process. Get to the room.... It's basic.Meh, that's fine, we're only going to be in the room to sleep. No biggie. Then, we started to look around. Floors were filthy. I didn't even take my shoes off in the room bc of the nastiness crusted to the floor. Bathroom, disguisting . The final straw was when my roommates and I pulled our sheets back and there were someone else's hair EVERYWHERE. So, logically I called down to the front desk to get my sheets changed. She beast answered and barked " housekeeping is gone and I don't do beds" . So at this point , I'm just over it and want to change my sheets and go to sleep. I asked her if she could just bring me a set and I'll do them myself. She and an unknown male show up at my door. No uniform or name tag. She must've been quite irritated that she had to get up and come ALL the way upstairs to bring me clean bedding bc when I answered the door the first thing out of her mouth was " on 1,2,3... There were only suppose to be 2 ppl in this room, I'll make sure to charge you for the 3rd." Meanwhile, my employees DID in fact pay for me. She said it a 2nd and a 3rd time,being nasty. I kept saying " okay then, I'm paid for but whatever". I ,at this point , am frustrated. She's rude, nasty and inconsiderate of the fact that I AM PAYING TO STAY HERE! I tell her that" she needs to make sure her girls clean these rooms bc it's ridiculous that I , at 11pm, need to change my own bedding." I then ask her what he's name is and She refuses to give me her name.She turns around , starts walking away, calls me a bitch and then proceeds to walk down the hallway. My room mate jumps up and is like " did you seriously just call a customer a bitch?". She comes back , flipping me off mind you, and reaches IN MY ROOM & TAKES A SWING AT ME & HITS MY FRIEND. So by now, everyone is in an uproar. This bat shit crazy lady starts holding herself in an awkward way. I'm yelling that I'm calling the police and she starts bangin on a door saying that I HIT HER!!! The police show up, she has "marks" on her. Obviously self inflicted. Thank goodness there was a camera right outside of my door that caught the whole ordeal. Haha! Yeah, it would be awesome if you were dealing with ethical people at all. The owner said that no one can access the recordings unless he's there, but allowed me and my employers to stay that evening. Who, in this day and age, can't access the recordings from their phone, tablet/ PC? He saw what happened and knew that girl was going to be in a ton of shit if the police got their hands on that video. So he refused to let me or my employer see it. Well, Saturday 10-10-2015 comes around and we are working all day so we( my room mates and myself) pack up everything we brought, or so we thought. I left my necklace that contains my sisters ashes in it on the window sill. I realized I had left it as soon as I got to work. When I came back to my room, things were moved around and my necklace was gone. Due to what had happened the night before, I was running on little sleep and wanted to MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE that I didn't leave it at home in PA before I threw an accusation like that out there. But I knew I brought it, I don't leave home without it. I take it off to sleep or shower. That's it. There are only 2 like this in the world, my mother has the other. These photos are pics of my mom's necklace;mine is identical. These ppl won't release the recordings of that weekend to the police. Supposedly they have to have a professional come & retrieve the footage. Still no word on my necklace though. So unless you like being robbed and NOTHING done about it, bc, according to the Medina Twp. Police department " there's never been an employee theft here" don't stay in this dump. All I want is this necklace back. I don't care if it "turns up" in the laundry room, I want my sister's ashes back. And to whoever took it, I hope you know what you've done. Karma baby. I believe whole heartedly , what goes around comes around. You will get yours. Maybe not today, tomorrow or a month from now, but something is going to happen in your life that is going to crush you &you will feel the way that I feel now. I truly hope you never go through what I have been through, bc I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. No one should wonder daily if their sibling is being pawned and melted down to a ring. Just know, I WILL NOT GO AWAY. I will absolutely pursue this as far as I can take it. Buckle up. read more

A perfect low budget motel. No amenities, but what do you expect for 45 bucks a night? Its clean, nice tvs, even has a pool. Perfect for the thrifty traveler on a budget! got a GREAT nights sleep and the front desk was more than accomidating for finding parking for my 16 foot moving truck with a trailer! read more
