We were told the hotel would be quiet since it was only 1/3 booked. However, we discovered that since this room was adjacent to the stairs it was noisy all night with people thumping up and down until 1:30 and again starting at 3:00 through 5:30. I talked to the desk manager about this following the first night and he offered a different room but since he said the hotel would certainly be quieter the upcoming night we opted not to go through the hassle of changing rooms. Well it was not quieter, if anything noisier, people thumping up and down the stairs until 2:00 in the morning and again starting at 3:45. I talked to the manager again after the second night suggesting perhaps they should comp one night of our stay. He refused to do so saying that he couldn't do anything since we had booked online and not directly through the hotel. The hotel personnel must know how noisy the rooms adjacent to the stairs are. I suggest that the stairs adjacent rooms should not be assigned until all other rooms are full, they are the worst rooms in the hotel. I sensed a prejudice towards customers who book online. I would never stay at this hotel again. One front desk employee was just plain rude when I came to discuss the noisy stairs after the second night. The desk manager guy was pleasant enough but displayed a prejudice toward customers who book through an online service.

I do not recommend this hotel and they need to post on their website that they're going through a full renovation. One of the other families that was in town for softball they got a refund after finding a massive spider in their room and screws sticking up out of the floor. we should've asked for a refund it was ridiculous. The mess that hotel was in. And to top it all off they have a scrimpy breakfast whenever we were getting breakfast this morning The waffle machine was broken and the bacon was like paper with no taste (not sure it was real) I just feel the whole hotel is not put together very well. The staff were fine at the front desk. But when I asked the other staff members questions, no one spoke English and they couldn't answer me on where to till my water bottle. This hotel costs as much if not more than others that do provide the basic daily services, so it's not about being more affordable because it's not more affordable. The beds are on the firmer side, not very cushy & the pillows are all really soft & not supportive. I do like that they have a separate room for showering & getting ready, while the toilet & another sink are in a separate room. Our room also has a fairly large closet so you don't have to move around the suitcases. The swimming pool & hot tub could be a bit cleaner. Literal clusters of hair getting stuck on you as you move in the pool. Other than that it's kind of just a standard place to stay. I do like that they still provide scriptures in each room like most all hotels used to. I also like that they have hot chocolate available in the lobby. Would be a lot better if they also provided some kind of creamer but not all hotels offer hot chocolate all day so I'll call that a win. Would be a step up if they also had cookies in the evenings like other places do. Staying at as many hotels as we do it's kind of a disappointment when you're at one that doesn't offer the fresh baked cookies in the evenings. Those little extras make a big difference.

Bar seating is not self serve. The enchiladas suiza and margaritas were fantastic. We were treated to custom omelettes the following morning. Other than the omelettes, it was the typical breakfast found at all the hotels. Great value. It was worth it to pay a bit more due to its location and amenities.

Who doesn't provide USB ports? The front desk staff were very helpful in providing information on nearby businesses where we could buy USB charging ports for our iPhone charging cables and our portable batteries. We enjoyed all the other amenities in our room. We loved the facilities themselves. The restaurant was outstanding! We were greeted enthusiastically as soon as we crossed the threshold. Our server, Jamie, was superb in every way--her demeanor, her knowledge of the food items, her interest in the fact that this is our "Birthday Road Trip" and her quality service.
