The Air Conditioning is just blowing air. Cable TV does not work. This place should be condemned. No other rooms available yet somehow they felt okay to reserve us this POS hot box. read more

The lady at the front desk was very friendly. The room was clean. Shower was dirty with hair in it and the air conditioning did not work.

We did not stay. Check in at 4:45 and they said they had to lock the office to go see if any of the rooms were clean or which were clean. There was not one other car in the lot. It looked very rough. Our group all cancelled our reservations and went next door. I would not book there again. read more

Overpriced for what you get. We stayed in a room with a king be and shower set up to accommodate persons with disabilities. Negatives: Door didnt fit completely into lock allowing it to move a little. Lock did work, but the movement would make it easier for a thief to break in. Bed had a spring mattress and was not comfortable, Id rate it 4/10. First set of sheets had something on it that looked like dried snot. Exchanged them for "clean sheets which has a stain, a couple strands of hair, and wrong sized bed spread. Bathroom was large enough to play half-court basketball, but they shouldve used the space to put in an appriate sized mirror and sink. Instead you get a sink and mirror similar to what youd have in a McDonalds bathroom. No shelf space / counter top to put your things. Shower curtain had at least 4 small holes in it that i saw. Noise from ice machine and other guests was pretty annoying. The walls/door was so thin you could hear everyone walking by the room and talking. Was also woke up by someone banging on a wall (not the fun kind where the headboard is hitting the wall), but hammering like they were doing some maintenance. That was pretty annoying. Positives: Convenient location if you had to stay in Uvalde. With the exception of the sheets Id say the room was clean with recent paint touch up. Shower had hot water with decent pressure, although the height of the shower head probably wouldnt be ideal for anyone over 6' tall. Probably the best part of the stay would be the front desk clerk who was kind and responsive to our need for clean, booger-free sheets. To sum up this review, would i stay here again? Not unless the price was cut in half and there was not a better option. read more

I have stayed at Motel 6 before but this was by far the worst hotel stay I have had. The clerk was super nice and friendly. She explained to me that the travel soaps were charged separately $0.25 for the shampoo and conditioner and $1.00 for a toothbrush and travel toothpaste. They couldn't be charged to my room and had to be cash only. I took a shower this morning before departing for my day. And while in the shower I noticed some patch work on the wall. As I continued my shower I noticed the patchwork was leaking. Then the ceiling started leaking. I was able to finish my shower before it got worse. But how can you rent a room out like that? Also the air conditioner took FOREVER to cool the room. I arrived at 10:30pm and turned it on; the room didn't feel cool until about 4:00am. I stayed at the Uvalde Motel 6 on July 11, 2016 because it looked new and clean. It is both relatively new and clean. The room is spacious and plain, no frills, ...just priced high for what you get. Towels are small and wafer thin. Absolutely NO amenities such as coffeemaker in room, hair dryer, microwave. You get a bed and a shower. The check in clerk was efficient but not overly helpful. Note: if you want an advertised online rate, you HAVE to make the reservation online. I would have done that but Expedia showed no rooms available moments after I walked in. :-/ The sink faucet was mostly plugged up and needs to have the screen filter cleaned of debris. As a result, just a couple of fine jets of water spray out. I would have cleaned that myself but didn't have a wrench. There were 3 pillows: two very fat and very hard pillows, and one squishy feather pillow. The mattress was also quite hard for me. I could have dealt with that, I wasn't expecting luxury - but the AC was not functioning properly. I arrived at 10 PM and immediately turned on the AC because the room was swelteringly hot. (The temperature was over 100 that day). I kept thinking it just needed more time to cool the room down, but going full blast the room never cooled sufficiently. It finally reached tolerable levels (below 80°) by 3 AM. So I did not sleep till 3 AM. That rather spoiled the purpose for my paying over $70 to get some much needed rest. I told the front desk clerk about my experience so they would know the AC needs freon and get it fixed before putting someone else in there. She seemed genuinely apologetic and nice, but not even a partial refund or a discount for a future stay was offered. I won't stay there again and am much less likely to consider Motel 6 even if it has good reviews. read more

Horrible place!! Beds had huge yellow stains on sheets, no pillow case on one of the pillows, dirty bathtub, dirty refrigerator and mice droppings in a cabinet. I refused to stay and asked for a refund which management denied but said I could move to their other motel (inn of Uvalde) was told they have renovated rooms and new beds. We got to that room and checked it and found hair in the sheets, dirty and stained fabric headboards and the ceiling in the bathroom had a big stain with mold and was actively leaking water onto the toilet lid and floor. Went and notified the front desk and all I got was I'm sorry I can move you to another room! Seriously!! I want my money refunded but they refused! read more

We've stayed at motels and I've been pretty okay with most of them. But this one while I was booking I was looking at the pictures and the room looked okay. But once there the area is sorta empty... The 3 days we were there there was maybe 2 more other people starting there so that made me wonder where is the rest of their customers. I wouldn't recommend for families it's more for like truck drivers pulling in after a long drive to get rest. The beds are hard and I usually don't pack pillows from home I've never had problems with hotel pillows. But these, I though I was in bed rock from the Flintstones! It was a rough 2 night stay. The staff is nice, the housekeeping didn't clean our room in fact i don't think they bothered to check out room. Oh there isn't a little blow dryer I always pack mine. But all the other motels and hotels we go they have one. So I said nah and there wasn't one! Ugh no breakfast no coffee maker but there is a microwave and a little frig. The plumbing was bad both in the shower and the sink it was gross standing in your own dirty water. Checkout day we were out by 9am we were out!! Hope this helps read more

Room was spacious but the AC did not work. We had a reservation for several months so they knew we were coming, but did not turn on the unit until we arrived. Unit did not begin cooling until about 4am which the temp finally was 89 degrees. They did not even try to accommodate us or give us a discount. We asked for an AC repairman, but they said they were not able to call anyone to come out. They had a police officer come talk to us and said we refused to pay, we had already paid, just asked for some sort of compensation. One of our rooms had a broken key lodged into a plug. Sheets had stains and the rooms are not mopped. The cleaning staff do not carry mops in the cleaning carts as observed. Cleaning attendant said that they do not use laundry detergent to wash the sheets or towels because the owner does not provide adequate supplies. Rooms were not stocked with appropriate number of towels as requested for the number of guests in the room even though we were charged by person. read more

Decent hotel, price is a little too high. Not sure why the cost is $70+ for a one bed hotel in a little "no-name" town. Not to disparage Uvalde but how many people have actually heard of this city outside 100 mi radius? We were passing thru to Garner State Park and chose this hotel over the Holiday Inn Express which was $114 a night w/o tax!!! The hotel had a modern look to it and was spacious however they lacked an iron and a hair dryer. We would most likely stay here again. read more

There was a mishap with the charges right away, room seemed newly renovated, but at closer look turns out it is just Reno-painted. Room was kinda gross, children's feet were immediately black (no exaggeration) after walking across the floor from shower. I'm sleeping with my shoes on tonight. Won't stay here again. We had 3 kids and 3 adults when we stayed two nights. The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful in getting us checked in at 2:30 a.m. And getting is an extra cot on the second floor even with our last minute request for it. The hotel was quite and clean, our only complaint is that the air conditioner didn't cool the room so I went to Walmart and bought a fan which made our second night bearable. Over all I would stay again but not in the heat of summer!! read more
