We stayed in one of the "upgraded rooms." Someone else's hair was in our shower, like all over. Pleather chair cracked and pealing. You could see the light coming through the door. Too forever to cool down. No where to put soap and personal items except on the floor, shower was cracked and painted over. Bathroom door cracked and painted over. Don't get spending the money to redo the rooms only to slap lipstick on a pig. No one. At the front and when she did show up she was not friendly. Will never go there again. read more

Terrible place to stay. The girl took over 20 min to check us in. Room was partially renovated. AC was so noisy. At 12:15 one of their employees tried to walk in our room while we were sleeping. In the morning way before check out our room keys stopped working. When I went down to the front desk to complain. I got oh all I can say is sorry. I told the guy working that the employe is lucky to be alive. She almost got her head shot off for walking in the middle of the night. Terrible place to stay. read more

Don't recommend this place at all. New management blows. My family and I had booked a room 1 week in advanced for Christmas through booking.com. Upon arrival they wanted us to pay up to $120 more to make up for the price change and pet cost. Would not negotiate(keep in mind we were from out of town and it was rt before Christmas Eve) So we had to stay at my mother in laws and slept on her couch that night. We never got reimbursed the $180 for the reservation thanks to management. Very dissapointing, I can tell under this new management, this place is not gonna last long, so sad. read more

Horrible place!! I was moved to this place after I had an original reservation at their other motel (motel 6) and found big yellow stained sheets, no pillow cases, a dirty bathtub and overall unclean room. They refused to refund my money and said I could move to the inn of Uvalde, that their rooms were recently renovated and had new beds. When we got to this room there was hair in the sheets, a dirty and stained fabric headboard above the bed, and a large stain with mold on the ceiling in the bathroom that was actively leaking water onto the toilet and floor. I went to the front desk immediately and told them I was not staying and they refused to refund my money! read more

Ok this place is Omg nasty Soiled carpets, furniture you DONT want to sit on, cracked shades on the lamps, no coffee pots in the room. Not to mention the most horrendous soap you have ever used. Foul mouthed cleaning ladies, oh and it says Non smoking rooms, my behind, the cleaning people were standing in the door of the room 3 down from me and YES she was smoking. I called and reserved a room at the "Inn Of Uvalde" as there was a shortage of rooms in the area and the ratings weren't bad. We were headed into the area to clean out a deceased loved one's home. We checked in and did a quick check of the room before heading out to work on the house and found that the room was shoddy, shabby, and not the cleanest but we decided to "make do" as we we really just needed a place to sleep and shower and I had my own bedding & pillows with me. But we did discover that the door wouldn't lock. Period. Even from the inside. So we notified management who advised us they would fix it or move us to another room. So we headed out. Upon arriving back late that evening, we were informed that the lock was fixed. But upon arriving at the room, it wasn't. I called the desk and was told there were no other rooms available but I could speak to the manager after 8am if I wanted a refund. Funny that there weren't many vehicles in the parking lot... When I saw the "manager" the next day about a refund she said "Sorry, but you'll need to talk to the owner about that." She then claimed he was out of the country and couldn't be reached. I'll chalk that $80 bucks as a lesson learned, but I'll never make the same one again!!! I'd give the place a "negative" star rating if the option was available!!! Do not!!! Would never stay here again! Hair in tub. Carpet was dirty. My room was located across from the pool, so we got all the smoke coming in through our air conditioning from people smoking at the pool. We got no sleep, due to the over whelming smell of smoke. It was so bad our eyes were burning. Everything in the room smelt like smoke. We stayed here, since we had no other choice. (All hotels were booked) The rooms smell, the air unit looked like it had mold, the ceilings and light fixtures looked disgusting it was maybe mold or some type of black stuff on them. The comforter and sheet had stains on them!! Just walking outside of property was disgusting. If you don't need to stay here don't! We also had check in at 3 and the maid was cleaning till 3:45 and not one apology from front desk. Definitely last resort choice.... but never again! These people don't do what they say. I called before we stayed to ask about their pet policy. They asked me what breed, (she's a lab). They said " oh no problem we won't charge you for her." We were charged for her a day after we checked out. The door to our room never worked. I had to go to the front desk every time I wanted to get in. They kept telling me it was my fault and nobody else had problems with it. They double charged my sister at check in. Refunded the doubled charge, which won't be back into her account for 3 to 5 business days of course. Charged her for 2 extra nights that I had already paid for. When we call to try to figure thus stuff out the manager just starts yelling at us saying it's all correct and that "she" didn't tell me my dog could stay for free. That the computer charged the extra days because it shows we were there. She was always angry when I asked for any kind of help. The pool is disgusting, when we arrived they had it locked up because their filtration system was not working. I'm not usually one to write bad reviews but the customer service at this hotel is almost non existent. The two gentlemen that work there at the front desk were always polite and I never had a problem with them. The manager though...was incredibly rude and made us feel very unwelcome. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE I used Hotwire to book a room at the Inn of Uvalde. It was huge mistake. I go to the front desk as the only person in the lobby. The front desk person then ignores me even being there, and keeps talking to a co-worker. After finally asking my name, and checking me in the clerk places the key card on the desk and goes back to work. No thank you, no "Here's where you room is at." Nothing. After driving the parking lot twice, I finally found my room. Upon arriving the bathroom was covered in hair and dirt, the mattress smelled like feces, the comforter stank, and street outside has sewage in it. The one particular thing I noticed was the ENTIRE staff had disgruntled looks on their faces which tells me that the attitude I saw starts at the top. read more

I recently stayed at Inn of Uvalde due to Hurricane Harvey. My family and I fled Corpus Christi in fear. We had no other option but to stay in this Inn since it was the last place with availability. Upon arrival we were treated rudely. They gave us keys that didn't work to a room that hadn't even been cleaned yet. The housekeepers were in socks and appeared to be drinking on the job. We waited in the car for about an hour until the room was finally cleaned. Against my better judgement my mother tipped the housekeepers since they were complaining about how they don't get paid enough. We booked our stay for three nights (Augusts 26-28) but we decided to go back home on the 27th. I spoke with someone at the front desk for a refund to my card since I wouldn't be spending the third night there after-all. They agreed and assured me my money would be refunded so we checked out in time to get the refund. Its now September 19th and I still haven't received a refund! I called multiple times to be told "the manager isn't here", "call back tomorrow at 9am", "The manager is the only one that handles refunds" and so on. When I finally spoke to the manager she claimed she hadn't heard a word about my refund at all. She told me she was busy and to call later on at 2pm. When I did no one answered and now when I try calling the line is off. This place is shady! I can't believe people would take advantage of refugees like this!! DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! read more

Manager there "liz" (name on tag was lizette cortez) was ridiculously rude. She was upset that she had to change me rooms because ours had not been cleaned, urine on bathroom walls and toilet, used coffee pot, holes in walls. While in my 2nd room my sister came to visit, liz barged in.... let herself in without knocking, unannounced invasion of our privacy and with a rude demeanor told my sister and her partner they needed to leave because there were too many people in my room.... 4 adults and my children... I said they just came to visit and liz said no, there's too many people. My sister said they weren't going to stay only stopped to say hi and with a really rude voice liz said "NO DONT SPEAK TO ME, YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO SPEAK TO ME BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT PAYING FOR A ROOM HERE THEREFORE DONT SPEAK TO ME" I was appalled. My sister left after another insident few minutes after, she was watching my kids in the pool so I could get dressed and again liz came out and said she was calling the cops because they didn't have a bracelet for the pool. Which my sister was no in the water nor was she going to get in, only supervising my children while I dressed. So my sister was upset and left. Liz called the cops and put a restraining order on her at the hotel... and refused a refund due to lack of hospitality and cleanliness. Mind you the 2nd room was missing the fire alarm, TV was broken and 1 bed was broken, and flower seeds were in the floor... bad experience, never going back. But the owners were nice, they just need someone to run the place better read more

i will never be staying here again this was the worst possible hotel to ever get in uvalde and ive done a lot of back and fourth traveling for family reasons. i checked in on 9-13-14 the front desk person didn't even know what he was doing i waited in line ten minutes while he looked for a reservation for the next day on the 9-13-14 reservations after the women had repeated that it was on the next day several times. i told him we had puppies and he told us he would dismiss them for what ever the reason was. so i checked in and stayed the night. around 1130 ish am the manager just so happen to walk by when my boyfriend was taking the puppies to potty keep in mind these are seven week old puppies. so she said we need to give a 100 down for the night he said okay not a problem well be right at the front desk.i was inside straightening my hair and getting ready for the day because i was there to spend the day with my family because it was my grandmothers birthday. i peeped threw the window as i heard him talking to someone i forgot to mention this im sorry. so as he walked in while i was naked i immediately shut the door behind him asking what happen. so he started telling me she wanted us to make sure that we paid our room and that we paid for the dogs we had no problem doing this because if we didnt we had the money anyways and were more than willing to pay. so she calls as soon as i shut the door. she said i slammed the door in her face i told her i didnt even know that she was right there. she started being rude and talking really ugly cussing at me. so i hung up the phone she called back again and i didnt pick up the phone. i started getting dressed to go to the front desk since this was obviously such a big problem for this lady. before i could even finshed getting dressed she walked in the room and didnt knock i was naked and she started to tell me that i had not paid i got so mad there are privacy laws she cant just walk in my room and not knock. she came in and i followed her out of my room still half naked getting dressed asking why she just walked in my room. she got in my face and i pushed her. she began to point at me and telling my boyfriend that he looked like he smoked weed and that he smelled like it how is that possible in a non smoking room we arent even those type of people nor do either of us look the part!!!!!!!!! i began to pull up emails and show her on my phone were i thought i had paid and that this was the email i got she immediately snatched my phone from my hand and wouldnt give me my phone back she began to call the cops are they arrived they began to say that they had been called to uvalde inn for this women (manager) more then once. this has happened multiple times here!!! she made me pay for both nights i reserved and said that i could sue her if i wanted the rest. guess whose getting sued!! not only did i pay the two nights but she kicked me out and i didnt get to stay the second night that i had already paid for. i had to pay for another hotel. i recommend motel 6 from now on alot more friendlier and they are pet friendly. read more
