We were showing our house for a broker's open and with jobs and two very, very, verrrrrrrry energetic toddlers at home, getting the house in showing condition on a dime would require a) witchcraft, b) a miracle, or c) a cleaning company [Option C seemed most viable IMO]. I must mention that not only was our house cleaner than when we first moved in, but that the fee was very reasonable. I've been on the fence for a few years about getting a cleaning service because....well I felt guilty about it. The child of African immigrants, not cleaning one's own home is seen as laziness at the highest level. And to make matters worse, my studio (*cringe*) apartment in downtown Sac is barely 650 sq ft (sorry Mom!). But the truth of the matter is my busy schedule just wouldn't allow me to maintain it to the level I wanted. Spending hours on my knees on the weekends just wasn't the best use of my time and frankly, I felt like I could use the help and contribute to a locally owned business at the same time-- so I took the plunge! I started looking for home cleaning services in the area on Yelp and quickly stumbled on Mommy & Me because of the five-star reviews and proximity to my place. I called at 8AM and Claudia answered promptly; she came by the same day to do a walk through and give me an estimate on the services and we scheduled my 1st appointment for the following week. Claudia is the GREATEST (sorry Muhammad...) she's so responsive and easy to work with, it feels more like I'm talking with a friend than a business owner (which I like). For a competitive rate, she brought a crew of 3 ladies to come and clean my pad from top to bottom. I came home from work and nearly collapsed with joy, every nook and cranny had been scrubbed and scoured. The sink was empty, the windows where crystal clear and everything had a home and was in it's home....just the way I like. Trustworthy, professional, easy to work with and FABULOUS! If I could give Mommie & Me 10 stars, I would. In my opinion they are perfect. They do absolutely incredible cleaning and they come on time. My houseboat has all kinds of surfaces (wood cabinets, faux wood panels, painted trim and fireplace surround, laminate floor, vinyl bathroom floor, etc.), and every one of them were cleaned perfectly. I'm embarrassed to say how filthy everything was but that is the only honest word to describe it. There is not a horizontal or vertical surface they did not clean beautifully. They did a fabulous job on the windows, screens and casings (which were filled with crud from this very dusty, moist environment). They even polished all the wood furniture. A big plus: the cost was very reasonable, too. I won't be embarrassed now to have people in. I can't tell you how happy this has made me. I feel like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Claudia was really responsive and was able to get back to me in a timely manner when to come and do an estimate and set up the time for the cleaning. They helped do a move out clean and a move in clean. The rental company was difficult about cleaning but Claudia took the challenge and made sure everything was great for a good deposit back. However, the scope of my review is related to their customer service, and their ability to return queries from potential new clients. I wanted to try Mommy & Me because they were repeatedly recommended by neighbours on the NextDoor app, and they also got reviews on Yelp. I tried to reach them via their website (I submitted an online form), a phone number I found on their website, a different phone number I found somewhere else (maybe Yelp) - one of which I left a VM on, and also via text - which was a recommended way of reaching them according to their VM greeting. I was disappointed that I did not get a response through any of these methods, since everyone raved about them on Yelp. I'm not sure if they were on vacation, were not interested in my business, or their business has closed, but a notification of some sort would have been useful. read more

This is an amazingly outstanding service. We decided to have some spring cleaning down on our modular home. The owner came out and gave us a price, very reasonable and we set a date. The ladies came and cleaned most of the day. 2 full bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, two living rooms, a pantry. Nothing from top to bottom was missed. They even organized my bathroom shelf and I love it. We definitely will use this service again and again. You are missing out if you are paying $$$$$, they your are being silly. They really go the extra mile to make sure your house is actually clean, not just tending to the high traffic areas.
