That is service! They called in advance and said they were running a little early if that was ok, I said "come on!". They showed up, were great, quick, very nice, engaging, and got it done right away! Very reasonable, couldn't have been better and will be using and recommending them again! The guys started packing, owner corrects how they are putting the boxes together and taping. Thought ok we are good. I walked them through the rooms that needed packing, what to pack and what needed to be left alone. Roman left at that point. Asked for 3 hours but since a friend and I had gotten a lot of stuff done that morning I ended up needing them for an hour. They hustled and got stuff packed. That's about the only good thing I can say. First, the way they assembled the boxes was horrible. There was no stability. They didn't have the common sense it took to discard a box that was too beat up or torn to use. They didn't tape many of them on the bottom, instead overlapping the corners in hopes it would stay (Spoiler alert: It didn't). On the ones they did tape, they used a single piece despite the abundance of tape I had available. Man of them were only half assed taped. I told them both to please be careful how they did it because I didn't want boxes collapsing when we picked them up. Both claimed they understood. I had to leave while a friend stayed behind because I had to pick up the moving truck. They got done before I got back. When I got back and saw the job they did I wasn't happy. There's a few pics from it attached. Once again they half assed closed things, barely taping them. Boxes were used that should not have been. They completely ignored what I told them NOT to pack. I literally found a tub of butter in the bottom of a box because it had been sitting on the counter. In a group of things I specifically told them not to pack. A glass bottle of alcohol was in the bottom of a box with a bunch of stuff piled on top of it. Again, something I specifically said not to pack. They literally tossed anything and everything into a box haphazardly. I had a bunch of boxes that weren't even full, just partially full with no rhyme or reason. Mind you, there is limited space in a moving truck and this was an out of state move. Coming back with another truck not really a thing here. So I called, voiced my concerns. Roman was nice, apologized. Said their pay would be docked. Not what I wanted as I think everyone deserves to be paid for their work. But whatever. Honestly I spent the next several hours trying to redo what they had done. So hiring them was a waste of time. While I was trying to tell Roman about the issues I had, he kept trying to push me to use his financial services as well. Seriously?! I'm telling you that your people did a crap job and you're trying to sell something else? What makes you think I would trust you with anything when you can't even teach your people how to pack a box properly? I thought it was done. Then a debit card of mine suddenly started getting used. Or attempting to. This debit card was a card I had not used in more than a year. It was sitting where I usually put my keys etc. it was sitting in a small basket with the things I put in my pockets for work. now, the reason I know this card hadn't been used in a year is because it was the FSA card I got from the previous job, which I had not been at in over a year, so the card was actually inactive with no balance. The first round of charges came in less than 24 hours after they had been in my house. The second round came the day after. They tried using the card more than two dozen times in the end. I called the card company, let them know it had been stolen and made sure they had not had a data breech. They had not. So clearly one of them took a pic of the card, which was laying on top of everything by the end of the day and not where it had been but I dismissed it as them having shuffled stuff around. They tried the card at multiple online merchants. THEN I realized that the CBD oil I had for my dog to help control seizures had also been stolen. I waited until I had unpacked all these boxes before leaving this review because I wanted to make sure they just hadn't done something stupid with it. As they clearly don't know how to pack worth a crap. So for a job that only took an hour, I was charged for 3 hours. Had a debit card stolen. And had the dog's CBD oil stolen. I have not contacted the company since realizing things had been stolen. I don't want another pitch for services I would not hire them for. When I called after I realized how horribly the boxes were packed, I got a story about how hard it is... and it is for small businesses. ESPECIALLY POC businesses, which I like to support. Which is why I had chosen not to say anything... until I realized my card and meds had been stolen. I don't want anyone else to have to deal with this.

The cost was $65 per hour for 2 movers. They would meet at the address and follow me to my next location. The invoice states $2 hour minimum. On 09/29/20 the movers show to my apartment at 3pm, and load into a Ford Transit van. We bubble wrapped and plastic furniture wrapped the Tv's, mattress, and mirrored console in front of the movers. The movers were the eyewitness to no physical damage. One piece was a mirrored desk that was bubble wrapped and secured in front of them. When the mover, Bali, unloaded it from the truck at 4:05pm he did not pick it up, but dragged it off the truck and cracked the mirror down the front leg of the furniture. I called the phone number at 8 pm and Bali answered. I explained the damage done to my desk and he said I could not prove it. I sent him 2 videos showing where he cracked the furniture. He asked how much it cost, and I texted him $150 at Home Goods. He offered me $30 to cash app via text. Bali explained that he had to consider depreciation, then later said to call and speak to Nicki the next morning. When I called 9/30/20 at 8am, I was put in call block. It went to unknown voicemail of a Google Subscriber. I sent out an email to altmovehelpers@gmail.com and no response. I called over 6 times from my office phone number before Nicki answered and was very hostile. She blamed all the damage on me, said I was wrong for not renting a UHAUL truck, and said she was stressed out from her kids online schooling. She said I had no proof and when I offered to send the video footage, she refused to look at it. She also blamed that I was looked for a "free move" and trying to scam her business. Nicki did not specify the type of vehicle needed or any requirements for the move. I explained there were 5 other all glass pieces on the truck and that was the ONLY one damaged. It was broken because of how it was handled. Hypothetically, If the drive were to damage the furniture all pieces would have been damaged. (We did not drive over any pit holes or speed bumps). I explained I tipped the movers $45 in cash and that I would never try and scam a BLACK moving company. She said she did not want to argue with me and offered 60% of the $150 furniture. I agreed and she said Bali would have to Cash App the money to me in the afternoon. I still have not received the money from Bali and they have placed my phone number in call block. They took my cash, broke my furniture, and RAN! Truly a nightmare! I would have rather moved everything myself even if it took me a month! Beware of companies that steal your cash and run. Please avoid this business and if you must pay a mover, find one that is licensed, bonded, and insured. Always pay with a credit card.
