omg, these guys are the best! My daughter's car had a serpentine belt break on a Thursday night. I looked up good mechanics on here near Lake Orion and Moto-Medic came up. I called them early on Friday morning and they said to bring it on in. This is where they get all 5 stars (and more, If I could) from me because many places, when you call, it's always, "we have an opening next Tuesday"....well, that wasn't going to work in this situation, and they went above and beyond and got the car in and fixed in one day, saving me a lot of hassle. (I'm all about reducing hassle in my life). She was able to have the car towed there Friday morning, they replaced a serpentine belt and tensioner, and it was ready that same day! FAR OUT. People there are all friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make car repair as stress free as possible...if you have a breakdown anywhere near these guys, call them! read more

After hearing a noise coming from my engine and contacting multiple places about it, only Moto Medic gave me a common sense suggestion about what it could be and recommended I check something before I bring it in for a diagnosis. When the check engine light came on afterward, they were fair with pricing, kept me appraised of what was going on with my car, and even let me know of a "not-urgent" issue that my car has, without being pushy to get the additional repair done. My engine light went on while I was heading to visit family in the hospital. I took the car to the Jeep dealership and two other places. I was told that they could not even look at the car for 3 more days! I took it to Moto-Medic and they immediately checked it out and determined that the gas cap needed replacement. Was buying a used car in Lake Orion, but I'm from out-of-town. Wanted to take it to a mechanic for a vehicle inspection, but couldn't take it all the way back to my own. I cold-called a mechanic, and it ended up being Moto-Medic; what a stroke of luck! Don't be fooled by the run-down appearance or the (lack of) quality of cars that were in the lot, at least the day I went - Moto Medic knows their stuff. They found some very subtle, cautionable things on the car I was looking at. The best part, though, was their thorough explanations and helpful answers to my questions. The mechanic walked through everything he'd found with me, pointing out how you could tell where paint had been redone, where a rim had been replaced. When I returned to the dealer, I had a couple follow-up questions and over the phone they answered thoroughly and graciously. I wish that I lived closer to Lake Orion and Moto-Medic; I would become a regular of theirs! read more

I will start by saying that the reason I brought my car to Moto Medic is due to the fact that I read 2 very good reviews about their service. I would like to tell everyone in the Lake Orion area that I do not feel I was treated fair at this facility. The reason my car was not running properly was due to bad O-ring seals in the tubes that house the spark plugs. Mike the manager at Moto Medic charged me 170.00 just to diagnose the problem and a additional 270.00 to fix the issue. The part for this repair is about 20.00 and the time required is about 1 hr maximum. The average cost one would expect to pay for expert service at their local dealer is 100.00 per hour, if you do the math Moto Medic somehow feels their time is worth somewhere in the area of 200.00 per hour. If you are considering taking your automobile to this facility I would strongly urge you to take it to the more qualified dealer who will probably end up being much cheaper in the long run.
