Very friendly staff. Really liked the crust and tomato sauce. The clam chowder flavor ended up being a surprise hit - really tasty cheese and garlic chili flavor going on beyond just the seafood. Wasn't disappointed with any of the flavors we tried (beef adobo, Mr. Pig, kissd, crab, clam chowdah). Worth a drive, and downtown Edmonds has lots of other cute shops and dessert places to visit afterwards. read more

This place was definitely worth the wait! I can't say much about the ambiance, because I ordered it to-go, but my boyfriend said it looked cute and everyone was friendly! We tried the Crab, Mr. Pig, and the Root and loved all but the Root (which was a little bland and I thought there would be more mushrooms considering the name). Although I don't normally eat this style of pizza the crust was sooo good and cheesy! The leftovers also reheated really well and it might have tasted even better on day two! MOTO has the best vegan pizzas I have ever had. My favorite is the Plant; it's super flavorful and not terribly heavy considering that it's Detroit-style pizza. I love that they have smaller lunch portions; it's particularly nice for lunch dates with my husband who does not opt for the vegan options. His favorites are the All In and Mr. Pig. I'd highly recommend this spot to eat in for lunch or takeout for dinner. read more

Came in today. Lined up and was first in line before they opened. The staff are absolutely amazing. They came out, greeted us and gave us free ice cream samples. The food is always amazing but the amazing service is aka ways a great surprise especially these days where customer service isn't always a priority. I was so happy to see that MOTO is now open for lunch!! I've been wanting to try it since it opened, but was sort of put off by the whole idea of having to order months in advance. Luckily they have fixed that; now you can just order on their website, like a normal pizza place. And, even better, they are now open for lunch! At lunch they offer personal-sized pizzas; walk up and order and pay on the tablet at the front counter. Pizza takes about 10-15 minutes. Absolutely amazing pizza. The crust somehow manages to be crispy on the edges and bottom yet fluffy and tender inside; the flavor of the crust is fantastic. Sourdoughy and full of yeasty goodness. I would happily eat an order of this pizza crust, just plain. Tasty red sauce, ample portion of quality mozzarella all gooey and melty, and generous toppings. I went with the Root (mushrooms, olives, onions) but they have some really unique and interesting sounding pizzas. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more. The have quite a few vegan/vegetarian options. Service was friendly and prompt. Decor is basic; leftover booths from when this place was a 50's style diner type place. The winning move will be when the weather is nice, grabbing a pizza and walking a few blocks down to the beach! Street parking only, which can be a challenge in downtown Edmonds, but usually you can find a spot a few blocks away. The only thing I would like would be a nice NW beer to go with my tasty lunchtime pizza. read more

With having to wait 3 months to pick up our order, I didn't think there was a chance in hell that the pizza would live up to the hype. Boy was I wrong. I'm Chicago born, and have been to New York plenty, and this pizza rivals them all. I can't ever remember experiencing a pie like this. It was one of the best, if not best I've ever had. One of those meals that you will be thinking about after the fact. For a long time. It's all I'm going to want when it comes to my Pizza fixes, so I suppose I better start ordering on the regular. My wife placed an order for couple of pizzas and the estimated time for our order was 2 month wait lol. I have never heard of such thing, but it's definitely not worth the two months wait. I can't believe I drove all the way to Edmonds for pizza, but I would definitely do it again!! I pre-ordered 2 pizzas back in March, and unfortunately at that time, their seasonal crab was not an option. Don't ask me why (frantic panic with the online ordering?), but for some reason, I chose 2 pizzas that were pretty similar--both with red sauce and one had meats (pep, sausage) and the other (Roots?)? All I remember were the olives. Huge rookie mistake, but delish nonetheless. Crust had cheesy crunchiness on the edges, while the inside was soft (like fresh foccacia). So good. Each pizza has 4 slices, so you can really enjoy the crunchy edges. Ok, but the star? While I waited for my pizzas to come out, I ordered a cup of butter pecan soft serve that was truly to die for. TO DIE FOR! Smooth, creamy, with a swirl of caramel. Oh my, I polished it off so fast. It's funny, I came for the pizza...but I'm dreaming now of the soft serve. Yum! read more

This place is such a delight. I am sad I did not discover this gem earlier. If you are from Chicago or Detroit, I cannot recommend Moto enough. I moved to US 4.5 years ago, lived in Chicago/NYC/LA, travelled every week for work, and have eaten a lot of pizza. I can say that Moto is now my fav pizza place, not just in Seattle but in the US I am completely mesmerized and can't wait to get the next round! Moto has a 3M wait if you want to pick up the pies so I follow their Insta page and the site to check when the online ordering opens up. Otherwise, I have heard you can also do walk-ins and get pies (till stock lasts), atleast at the Edmonds location. I am a vegetarian so I ordered the Root, Cheese, and the Farm pizza. I think the Root was hands down my absolute favorite - one cannot go wrong with a combination of mushroom, olives, and onion in tomato sauce. My friends also enjoyed the conventional cheese and the farm pizza. Please do not get mistaken by the size of the pies. While they look smaller than a regular pizza, they are extremely filling. Each pie is thick and overloaded with toppings. After a long time, I have eaten a pizza that is bursting with flavor, rich on sauces and veggies, aromatic and yet does not feel greasy. My sister is vegan, so I am happy they also have such a healthy mix of vegan pizzas. I am excited to get her to try them when she next visits Seattle. All the toppings in the Root and Farm pizza came together so beautifully. While this is a carry out place, we decided to get seated (they have limited seating). The restaurant has colorful graffiti on the wall which gives it a nice vibe.. Even the pizza box was so nicely done - the heating instructions are funny! Lastly, we decided to give their ice creams a try. I was interested as they looked like McDs soft serve cones, but way creamier and more flavorful. The texture and quality are really good. We got green apple, orange cream, and cherry. The orange was my fav. Even if you can't get pizza here given they sell out so soon, I think it is still worth stopping by for some ice cream if you are nearby. You won't be disappointed, I promise. Just before leaving the restaurant, I ran into the owner/ lead and loved chatting with him. I do not remember his name now. I could see how passionate he is about running the place. Their website doesn't have any info and you can't be notified. It's either check their website ever day or social media. Got there just after they opened and had no problem getting a walk in order. Service was extremely kind and helpful deciding how much pizza to get for our family of 4. We sat there to eat and it was a fun environment. We got the Mr pig and the kiss'd, both were delicious but the Mr pig was out of this world. I've never tasted any pizza like this in my life. The hype and buzz is out of control, and the "pizza", if you can call it that, did not live up to the overselling. The small pie is rectangular, and cut into 4 pieces. Each piece is a little smaller than a sandwich. 4 moderate size pieces per pie isn't much for $25 a pop. They start with a soft, thick, bread base. If you expect pizza to have a crust, this will be disappointing. If you like a thick bread base, then this might be your place. The toppings are good, but nothing special for flavor. The pizzas are beautifully decorated. If you're into how your food looks and less into how it tastes, you might love this offering. The underlying problem is they way over sold on what they could deliver, so I give it a "meh". If you can deliver above expectations, you have a win. This was not a win. There are other options for pizza in Edmonds, and while not as "pretty", they are head and shoulders better in flavor. read more

Honestly some of the worst pizza I've ever had. Garbage red sauce, undercooked doughy crust, and you have to wait 6 weeks to get it. I had one piece and threw the rest in the trash. This is a very strange business model. I can only score a pizza if I pre-order, not possible in Edmonds. If I happen to walk by and they happen to have walk-in pizzas available I can order. I finally decided to walk in and I ordered the ROOT. There were almost no mushrooms or onions on it though they were supposedly the main ingredients. It was overwhelmed by a thick, chunky and unpleasant tomato sauce. It was also missing a detectable cheese element. The fluffy bread "crust" was nice. The walk-in service was lovely. I don't know if this weird model will survive in Edmonds. We need and can support a great pizza joint. I'll walk-in order one more time and try a different pie, but if it is as disappointing as my first try, that will be the end for me. The store looks fine. read more

OMG - I finally get what all the hype is about! I am not an avid pizza person; but the Shrimp Pizza I ordered was so delicious and flavorful. It was crispy, cheesy and loved the toppings. It was a good thing I had already told the office I was bringing it in the next day or else they might not have ever seen the box! Spectacular pizza! I'm not a New York style pizza fan and have been a die hard Chicago style pizza fan forever. In fact even though I'm from Michigan I currently have three Geno's East pizzas in my freezer right now! The other day a list came up of the top 20 pizza restaurants nationwide showed up on my Google feed. I was surprised to see Moto listed number eight on the list. Looked at the website and saw that the delivery pizzas were sold out for January and February. SOLD OUT???? Since when does a restaurant sell out? Since I live in Sedro Woolley, I sent my wife to the new Edmonds restaurant when they opened at 4:00. She brought home a "clam chowder" and a "cheese" pizza and DAMN! Both pizzas were amazing. The pizza is for a very specific type of pizza lover. It's a deep dish with lots of sauce. That is not my kids things so they were not huge fans. I enjoyed and thought it was good. Moto opening up in downtown Edmonds was a complete dream come true. If you haven't tried the kissd, root, cheese, crab or pepperoni pies, definitely give them a shot!
