If you find yourself in Lynwood or Edmonds and you're in the mood for some great pizza, I would highly recommend checking out Perrinville Brick Oven Pizza. This place has a great old-school pizza tavern vibe complete with a great selection of beers, and a great selection of pizzas. My group sat down next to one of their open garage doors to enjoy the sunshine, and a server came over to take our order with a smile. He was very helpful and gave us some great suggestions on what to order. We decided to order two pizzas, the Italian Special and the chicken ranch. The Italian special was delicious. House red sauce and mozzarella topped with red onion mushrooms, Italian sausage, and prosciutto, then finished off with some crumbled goat cheese. This pizza was packed with flavor and the goat cheese added a nice tang to every bite. My favorite on this trip was the Chicken Ranch. This pie starts with a garlic olive oil base, then is piled high with mozzarella, bacon bits, red onions, mushrooms and chicken. After it's pulled from the brick oven they finish it off with a drizzle of ranch dressing. So much flavor and a great take on a classic pizza. Both these pies had an amazing crust that was both flaky and strong enough to support the mountain of toppings. I would highly recommend trying this place out. I had just taken the dogs to the offleash dog park up the hill. I wasn't too hungry but super thirsty! I decided to try this little corner pizza joint and right away I knew I'd love the place! The atmosphere was clean and the owner was already engaged in a deep conversation but still had time to acknowledge me and be kind and respectful. Everyone there was so welcoming and the food was awesome! The bathroom are down a hallway in the back and everything was clean and presentable. I highly recommend Brick Oven Pizza in Perrinville. Tonstart we got delivery so it did arrive chilled. The pizza itself LOOKED great but tasted very acidic. I'm not sure what they use for the sauce but it was tooo much, too thick, and artificial tasting, sort of the same as sauces on the freezer section pizza. The cheese also was sour, not sure what was going on there. BUT the crust was good. Had to pull everything off the pizza to at least have something redeeming. Maybe in-person it's better but definitely wont be ordering it again. read more

Delivery review In short Very tasty pizza! Needs a little more cheese to hold each slice together and keep it from turning into a protein bowl. In long I hadn't even heard of this place before ordering, but the online reviews are encouraging for sure. Showed up quick and still pretty hot for a fair-enough price. I'm sure I'd be all over this place if it were right in my neighborhood--I bet the pies are pretty great if you go in to eat. Caesar salad Definitely overpriced at $15. Portion is okay, but it's clearly from a bagged supermarket salad kit. They throw in a little grated cheese and a lemon wedge. I dunno why I keep hoping more pizza places will make scratch caesars when the evidence shows they all want to keep costs down on these. Food cost should be around 30% of the final price, at least for in-house diners (which I realize I obviously wasn't). Food cost on this had to be about 5% of the price at most, so I'll skip this in the future. Butcher Shop Tasty pie, good toppings! I added jalapenos to amplify the flavors a bit. (My favorite moves are to add meat to the best-looking veggie pie or jalaps to most other sandwich/pizza menu options). Good flavor, crust just chewy enough, though the crust could have been a little drier for me. The hassle with this pizza is that everything slides off. Half falls off when you put it on the plate, most of the rest falls off when you pick it up to eat it. Another go-round of cheese before cooking would make this much more structurally sound. I ended up eating Lite slices and then using a fork to finish the toppings that fell. Tasted awesome, but that's not the way to eat pizza. Bottom line, I like what they're doing here, and that would be enough to visit it in person. If their online ordering allowed for extra cheese by request, I'd pay an extra $2 per pie or whatever for delivery. As it stands now, though, this is a just-okay delivery option. read more

Nice little gem of a mom and pops pizza place in Edmonds! The service was great and all the staff were super friendly and attentive. The location itself is not large so not sure it accommodate a larger party or what a wait time would be on a busier night. We dined in on a Saturday evening and it was not busy at all. The food was great. We went with a couple pizzas for a party of 3 and were very full. I believe their pizzas are 11inches, and are sliced pretty small. So perfect if you're thinking or ordering a few pies at least. The chicken wings are very good. Large in size, and seasoned very well. What a nice pizza spot to have locally! The ingredients are fresh and tasty, the crust is perfectly crisp, and the sauce is balanced. We ordered a create-your-own pizza, and loved the flavors and texture--even after it was delivered! The pizzas seem to all come in one size (10"), which, with a side salad, is a good amount of food for 2 people. We had leftovers but on the other hand my husband wasn't very hungry. We might order two next time. The price is not bad even given the size; at other local places you can find yourself paying 20-30% more. We also got the Athenian salad, and this was not my favorite. Perhaps if it came with the dressing on the side, I would've liked it better, but the dressing mixed in left it soggy upon arrival. Still, it's clear the ingredients are fresh and delicious, so I'd consider trying again with a request for sauce on the side. Perrinville Brick Oven (PBO) is more of an opportunity to test your American idealistic ideology. Put "your money where your mouth has been" into action. If you're truly a "don't tread on me," flag unfurled and flying from the back of your truck (never, if ever, used as the truck is actually designed for), as you haul your way down Olympic View Drive well over the speed limit, you should go here. Go here because the best American Dreams have bedtime stories that either are, or juxtapose, the PBO story. PBO is the sort of "American Dream" I read in my American History class. Go-getting, hard-working, "family," up by the bootstraps and no excuses when things get knocked down, still up at dusk, a literal and/or figurative family trying their hand at a craft to enable, and hopefully, awards them their freedom to be their own bosses and keep more of the profits. Truthfully, for me, the Corporate less expensive MOD PIZZA is the corporate Burger King around the block. Mod has the same, barely enough for one size option as PBO. The Burger King truth is that you can have it your way. Pick as many toppings as you want (and truthfully with a smile they'll add a little extra and "sum-thang, sum-tin". You know what I'm saying. Truthfully, for me, when it comes to feeding a family ASTORIA up by the Dairy Queen on Hwy 99 and 168 (another family-owned American Dream) is better pizza. It's larger and pound-for-pound, and inch-for-inch is a better value. Truthfully, if you want trendy, MOTO is killing it from Edmonds Main Street to the concession concourse behind the outfield fence at the Mariners' T-Mobile Park. Truthfully, PBO isn't going to blow your mind and make you believe you are in Napoli, Roma, or even NYC's Little Italy. My personal PBO boxed pizza to go was super thin, left me hungry, was more of a financial commitment than I'm used to paying, and truthfully burnt in some areas. Yet, I believe they're learning. I believe they're students on every long day they are open, getting schooled, and learning their craft. They will get better. They'll adjust pizza size and determine cash till profits that create win-win situations for all. They will read reviews and learn from their patrons--patriotic or not--and get stronger. I do believe this. But, for now, as I wrote above, this is an opportunity to "Pledge Allegiance" to those who have woken up, got out of bed, and worked on their dream. It's a chance to support our neighbors as they are spreading their wings and hoping to get off the ground and sore. I drive by late at night and their doors are still literally and figuratively wide open. Lights on. Hope casting shadows upon doubt. People, real people, employed. They are all there, with smiles, waiting--not resting--for you to be there too. They are standing by for you to put them to work. Their desire seems to be to share their dream one thin, maybe a bit burnt, dream at a time, with you. So, if you are one to support your fellow neighbors, who are living the dream in our hometowns, pay them a visit or two and support them as they support you. This place is Made in America. I called ahead a few days before we were planning to have my husband's birthday party. They said they could accommodate our group of 13 people. They had the tables put together and setup for us. They were very friendly and attentive, kept our water glasses full. We ordered a variety of pizzas and everyone said they were delicious. Wow. This is my first review of a restaurant since I was a Urbanspoon Prime! I've been to Perrinville Wood Fired Pizza quite a few times. They have nice pizzas (all 11 inches, no bigger, no smaller) plenty of toppings, and quick, friendly service. Despite the pizza being made in a wood fired oven, I have yet to have a burnt pie. It looks like they have the cooking time perfected for the pizza. The pasta I had today was good, but I like the pizzas better (I always ask for a bit more sauce on the pie). Not a very big place. It didn't start out well with the lack of A/C. I'm definitely not an A/C person, however it was uncomfortably hot, front doors wide open, shades down and 84 degrees outside- they need A/C! Saw the same reaction about the temp by 2 other tables being seated as we were fanning ourselves with a menu- Service was very attentive and friendly. Pizzas were good, but nothing that "wowed us" The menu stated no substitutions- Build your own was only option to deviate from changing a topping on a specialty pizza which could easily run into $$. I was disappointed. it was partly my fault for not researching the place before we went, I wanted a relaxing pizza night with hubby and two small kids after a long day, and this place wasn't it.....it's really more of a neighborhood take out place, and for people who like it loud and lively. I was there on a Friday and it was packed, so it definetly has its fans. It's small and they have tables tightly situated....not good for any parties larger than 4 people. The pizza and drinks barely fit on our small table. I was worried the kids were going to spill. And since it has cement floors the sound bounces and they had rock/pop music playing, louder than most restaurants. I was expecting REALLY GOOD pizza, but the pizza was very bland. After a few bites, I was searching for the shakers of pepper flakes and cheese to give it some flavor, even a salt shaker would have helped, it was so flavorless. The meat and cheese toppings did not look that high quality. Im gonna go ahead and give this place 3 stars because I want them to survive, but I wish they had better pizza. Let me start by saying I WANTED this place to be good...Like I really wanted to have a local pizza place I liked. Perrinville Brick Oven has been in conversation in the area for months. There has been a lot of hype. They have been open for a little over a week at this point so we decided to stop on our way home and try it out. I could not have been more disappointed. We had a salad and pizza. The salad was fine, but honestly was not much better than something I'd get at Sabarro in the mall. The dough literally was the most flavorless pizza I've ever eaten. It had no flavor at all and tasted dry. Hard to compete with Niles Peacock just down the road in Edmonds with award winning sour dough crust and even Fire & the Feast. One pizza needed salt, and had pepperoni and sausage (which was surprising)...the other was SUPER salty and hand giant slices 1/4 in thick of tomato. It was just so confusing. There are things that can be worked out, but if you are a pizza joint, the dough is your anchor. There is just no way this is worth $60+ for 2 pizzas and a salad. This would take a global revision to get me back there. If you are looking for a great cocktails and pizza or Italian food in the Edmonds area...go check out Niles Peacock or Fire & the Feast. Brooklyn Brothers Pizza in Mukilteo is also decent pizza. No cocktails, but it at least has flavor. If you are looking for truly amazing wood fire pizza, Delancy in Ballard is FANTASTIC. Dino's in Capital Hill is also great (acquired taste for the restaurant vibe though)...but don't let it fool you, the pizza is legit. Sad to say this place just isn't worth it. We stopped last Friday for our first visit to this new pizza place and were so impressed. We had the Acropolis pizza and a house salad which had the best dressing. The pizza was delicious as well. Mike's Hot Honey would have been a nice addition to have. Over and above our delicious meal was our server, Michael O, who was beyond polite and friendly and really made our stay wonderful. As luck would have it, his father had stopped in and upon realizing the connection, I made a point to stop and tell him what a fine son he had and that he should be very proud. We did take out and ordered the pepperoni, the Aloha Supreme and the cheeseburger. I loved the dough, I am not a pizza snob but all of the local Edmonds pizza shops we go are much more greasy and sparce on toppings for the same price at the end of the day. The kids gave the pepperoni a 10/10. Honestly for our family the sauce, cheese, toppings ratio was perfect. Aloha Supreme 7/10, we were wondering if it was fired first - it was just a bit soggy in the middle but also the amount of pineapple on the pizza was stellar. The Jalapenos lacked spice but that's probably pepper specific. Cheeseburger Pizza 9/10, personally not my thing but my husband LOVED IT. My friends took me to Brick Oven and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a good neighborhood place where you would feel comfortable bringing your date or a entire family. The food was good, healthy option versus the greasy food by bake at home and frozen pizza's options. Shame on those who suggest other pizza places that have 2 months wait list to get into because of their dough! Finally if you moved from NYC and expect to find equal pizza on the 'other coast' then you miss out on what great options we do offer. Small portions. Tasteless pizza. Actually an insult to anyone familiar with decent pizza. Frozen pizza is better than what they are serving. Cheese is wrong. Pizza dough is wrong. toppings are wrong. Poor quality. Poorly sliced. Poorly heated. Rubbery and tasteless. Very disappointing. You can't just hang a sign out and say you're a pizzeria. There is an art to preparing good pizza.
