I want to preface by saying that the staff was very congenial. That is why they have two stars…read more I took my vehicle in for an overall inspection. It had an oil leak and the a/c needed Freon. I am an Arizona newbie and wanted to make sure that everything was in tiptop shape. The first bill came in at around $400 and I was ecstatic. But the next day I still had an oil leak and the a/c was marginal at best. I returned to the shop and mentioned that these problems still existed and expressed my disappointment. I reiterated that I wanted a thorough inspection of my 2005 Cadillac De Ville. A different person assessed the vehicle and came up with a new quote. It was. $3k+. I agreed to the repair that included front brakes. $4k later and my engine is idling so rough that it will barely stay running when I start it up. Lucas octane boost has helped a tiny bit. But not enough to clear out the injectors or smooth out the rough idle. I called the shop back and the response was, "Bring it in and we'll give you a cost estimate." Cost estimate?? Are they kidding? $4k should have covered front brakes and a tune up don't you think? Let me conclude by saying my father bought this Caddie brand new and always took brilliant care of it. I inherited it when he passed. It had 56k miles on it when I acquired it a few years ago. I want to take care of it with the same conscientiousness that he did. I've never had such an enormous repair bill in my life and perhaps I could have lived with it if my car ran smoothly. But it doesn't. It's a good thing I can drive a stick because I've had to drive this car slightly pushing the accelerator with my left foot on the brake at red lights just to keep it running. It has always been a lovely, dependable vehicle. I want to hear it running smoothly once again but on a fixed income further financial investment seems crazy and they didn't offer to correct the problem at no charge. In my opinion, $4k should have been enough to cover an inspection, front brakes and a tune up successfully.

Man I usually don't rant about things like this, but something has to be said. So here I am a man…read morein his 30's with a wife and 4 kids and right now we only have our one vehicle. Our vehicle has a TRANMISSION issue (that word will be important just stick with me here). So I go over to the Discount Brake, Tune & Lube here in Casa Grande right off of Florence right? Usually these guys are pretty straight forward and let you know what's going on and are on their A-Game! Well I was completely wrong. Now with my job I'm usually working anywhere between 12-17 hour days depending on the situation at hand. Now with that being said my wife called to see if we can schedule an appointment for the TRANSMISSION to have it looked at. The gentlemen my wife spoke with "yes no problem just go ahead and bring it over Wednesday at 3pm!" Okay that is no issue. However we run into an issue with our vehicle going in reverse no issue, but stalling going forward and I discovered this leaving my place of business and ended up right outside my work broken down. I called Monsoon Towing company (which they are amazing highly recommend them) and they come get me within the hour as they promised. So I drop the car off here at Discount last night. Come in this morning after having to walk here with my wife (mind you again this is our only transportation right now) and we speak The General Manager: Joe, Which I have dealt with this gentlemen before and usually is pretty straight forward guy and I tend to not have an issue with him. Today marked a different day and I don't know what to feel about this. So I said "hey sir so my wife called with a gentlemen yesterday and informed him that it seems like a transmission issue." Joe says to me: "we can do the inspection on the vehicle for $150, but if it is a transmission issue we do not fix transmission issues anymore." So I said to him: "Look tensions are high and I'm pretty livid myself, but right now I'm chill talking to you like a man and all I'm saying is why would you have us come this way if it is something you folks don't fix, I mean is there any way you can rectify this?" Joe losing his composure putting his glasses down on the counter, as the General Manager by the way, says to me: "Look your car broken down out there is NOT MY PROBLEM! And there is NOTHING I CAN DO TO RECTIFY THIS!" So the general manager cannot take responsibility and at least say "hey we're sorry for the misconception and confusion" but instead would berate his customers or not even take responsibility for not keeping up with his workers and making sure they are all on the same page. Shoot I'm not even asking for a free diagnosis I'm just saying "train your people and hose that attitude of yours especially when you know you are in the wrong." I honestly haven't been in a situation like that with a person of management and I as well have been in management multiple times dealing with irrate or just frustrated people and finding a way to de-escalate situations. I don't even want to mention how he threw in the: "well I've been a mechanic for 30 years" because my rhetoric back was "my wife's father was a mechanic for 30+ years, but I'm not even trying to pull rank here." I mean I just wanted someone to not come at people so harsh and aggressively and just be straight forward from the beginning is all so we are not just running in circles. So now Monsoon is coming and they will charge $95 this time and problem is today I had to call off work to make sure this is all taken care of so now at this point I'm losing more money than I could've earned. Rant over. Thank you for tuning in.

He was on time, professional, and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained everything in a way that made sense, didn't try to upsell anything unnecessary, and made sure the job was done right. My A/C is now blowing cold again like it should, and the car is running perfectly. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares about doing a quality job. On top of that, the convenience of him coming to me saved a lot of time and hassle. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone looking for reliable and honest mobile mechanic work.

I am giving two stars because of the only positives: they scheduled my inspection within a few days…read moreof calling and Justin, the technician that arrived, was very nice. However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.
