Contacted Custom due to one sprinkler zone not working. Two servicemen came who checked the…read moresystem, said there was power to the solenoid so begin changing parts, first the solenoid, then the valve. Problem not fixed. Then one said it may be a root problem until I reminded them that we had powered the zone manually and it worked. They then decided that the wiring feeding the solenoid had a break despite earlier saying they said it was working. After 2 hours they left for another job saying they would come back with a meter to check the wiring another day. The next day I received a call about a second service call. Three serviceman and no meter arrived yesterday. After 2 hours of no success a 4th person came with the meter.. An hour later they said they were done, verified the zones were working and left. I was left with a $380 bill for 3 hours labor plus a service call for which $200 was charged while searching for the cause a second time while awaiting the meter. When the bill was presented I was told there was no charge for the first call and the parts that were installed. It was apparent that had they had the meter as they said the charge would be significantly less. After they left I checked the areas they had worked in, finding that they had not reinstalled the service covers (not a big deal) but had dug and opened the electric lines, apparently looking for a wire break, and left them loose, on top of the ground. I contacted their office and the next day a person came to review my concern. He agreed that the wiring should have been taped, the wrong wire nuts (not waterproof) were used and it should have been buried. He said this was to be taken care of. Upon returning home later in the afternoon i found that the wiring was no longer visible. I found they had covered it with mulch, not buried, taped or the correct wire nuts used. Strike three. Look elsewhere if you need service!!!!

Wehave been using this company for a…read morecouple years (since winter 2024) - simple turn on/off the system, replaced a few new nozzles here and there. Previously had 1 sprinkler head replaced and they charged $20 (or maybe $30, an almost insignificant amount) Well this year this guy Luis (? or Louis) came, charged me $200 for 1 sprinkler head (before labor), he did not tell us how much it was BEFORE he took the old one out. I know I should have asked how much but with previous years of dealing with this company we thought we knew the price level. After a couple of phone calls with "management" they offer to charge extra labor cost to take the $200 sprinkler head out (so we dont have to buy it) and extra labor cost to put the old broken one back. It turned out that they charged and extra $75 labor for this sprinkler head. Please DO NOT consider this company at all. Honesty is the way to run a business. And this is not.

The next day, Josh was here to explain what was going to be done and the cost. The cost was surprizingly affordable, and parts used were Rainbird. A low price for a top quality product! Great! First the flags were installed marking gas and water lines. Josh and the crew were to arrive October 10. On October 9 they were already working. A very dedicated and knowledgeable crew that were polite as could be They finished in five hours. Josh explained the installation and how everything worked. If I have problems I know how to reach them. This was a beautiful process from start to finish. More companies should follow their routine--call the customer back, visit soon, do the work quickly and efficiently. I will probably call them back in the spring for some work in the back yard.
