The owner "Jeff" aka "snake oil salesman" of the area, comes across as a friendly joking good guy when he's selling you something but he's one of the worst at accepting responsibility for their shop errors and makes no attempt to rectify shop failures. Unfortunately he lets his ego run the business in times of failure when good old fashion customer service is what's needed. You can feel that the Employees are not happy with the owners attitude and and work environment, and often times they don't show up to work for days, and many have recently walked out on this loser. Do yourself a favor and bring your diesel problems anywhere else but this shop, it will save you a lot of headaches and financial issues in the future to avoid this place like the plague!! This building is on the main road through town making it much easier than the other one off of 6th Street which was harder to find. The Police Department has many services for the public. The malfeasance that runs rampant in that department is staggering. He was tailgating horribly, I couldn't even see his headlights in my rear view mirror because he was that close. When the SLPD arrived, Ofc. Walker and Sgt. Eberline lied right to my face about 2 separate issues. Then, it took those 2 bumbling buffoons almost 4 weeks to complete the police report (probably because they knew they were going to get caught in their lies) and, when I did receive a copy, it read like a 2nd grade book report that was supposed to be about The Cat in the Hat and they read 1 Fish 2 Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish. My vehicle description was completely inaccurate (make, model, and color), the description of the accident was wrong, and the speed was wrong. They "estimated" I was traveling at 80 mph, which is impossible on that road. I went up the chain of command and spoke with a lieutenant, who is a traffic accident reconstruction specialist, and he confirmed they used the wrong formula and the speed should've been listed at around 50 mph. I knew SLPD had a reputation for being one of THE WORST departments in the state, but I had no idea how bad it really was until I actually had to interact with them. If you ever have the misfortune of dealing with them, RECORD EVERYTHING! They will lie, repeatedly, and they can't be trusted to do a simple traffic report let alone anything serious.
